This place rocks. Where else can you pick up a new Ruger 10/22, a button up flannel shirt is every color of the rainbow and ...... a mint MOONPIE ?!!!. Put those three things together and you know what you have? A really fun weekend. Plus what other place is there where you can shop for more flannel cause you can never have enough flannel and watch some huge fish swim around and then go and blow $20.00 in real live action hunting games. Ahh it takes me back to when I used to play duck hunter on my Nintendo in my living room while I was wearing flannel and eating a moon pie. Once again this place rocks. I love this shoe selection here and my wife and I both buy bathing suits and outdoor clothing is both rugged and fashionable. It's not the cheapest store but they do have a lot of selection and great sales often. The Fishtank in the lobby as well as the one in the restaurant alone are worth the trip they are amazing in their scale and beauty it's a must see if you have kids. read more

This review is only about the Restaurant inside of Bass pro. That being said we walked right in and sat down no wait at all. The waiter was a friendly fellow named Steve. Even though we waited 10 min to see him he quickly made up for the wait by bringing out drinks and kids meals (for the little ones) quickly and without even asking. Those little heathens can get restless if not confronted by a plate of mini corndogs quickly. Lol The entrees were nothing to write home (or yelp) about but the atmosphere is nice the place is clean and Steve the waiter really was great. I have never been to a Bass Pro Shop so on the way home from a road trip my boyfriend and i decided to stop and check it out. The place was AWESOME! i was so excited when i was in there too look at all the different fish and check out the waterfall. Needless to say we had a lot of fun checking out all the different sections EXCEPT THE RESTAURANT!! After being referred there to try the alligator, which we both chickened out from, we decided to grab a quick bite before heading back home. I got the calamari and my boyfriend ordered the grouper. Unfortunately, this is when things started to take a turn. THEY WERE OUT OF GROUPER!! how can you be out of the best fish you serve there? Okay, no big deal, life goes on. He ended up just going with the Mahi Mahi. We both enjoyed our side salads and our food came. Calamari was so BLAND! i could barely eat any of it. Mahi Mahi was alright, definitely not the best. I do not recommend eating here.. its just nothing special. Our bartender was great and i felt horrible about not eating all the food so asked him for a box and ended up throwing it away once we got out the doors. :( Bottom line: Bass Pro Shop = AWESOME! Melanie was our waitress.... she was wonderful! I wanted to sit outside. No one was eating out there but she was happy to accommodate us. The bread that is brought is complimentary. Has just a hint of sugar on top. I pulled pieces off and dipped in the butter. A knife is obviously brought to cut it.... the catfish platter is ok. I wanted to try it. I am not a huge fan of catfish to begin with,to me it taste like dirt. The season/breading on it was fine. I just didn't care for it.Next time I want to try the fish and chips. The calamari is fantastic!! Perfect. Crispy without being tough. Not greasy at all. The dipping sauce with it is a sweet chili sauce. read more

Bass Pro Shops is becoming like any other big box chain, and a perfect example of why Amazon and other online stores are taking over! Went today to buy Clay Target rounds, so I can take my family out for a day of shooting. This requires 100 rounds per person, and a family of four...so do the math. As I walked around looking for assistance, trying to buy a few cases, there was not one useful employee. The one person I found was not in the least bit interested in assisting. When my son and I walked up to the counter, hands full of boxes, the clerk said "you can take those downstairs" for assistance. Not once mentioning a limit. After standing in line for another 15 minutes, the clerk said there is a limit of 5 boxes. I asked then how do you buy a case if a case has 10? She said you can buy a case per person, but only if they are of age. Anyway, they did bit want to help me get a case and obviously my under age son couldn't buy a case. No where in the store is any sign that says there is a limit! Had I seen that, I would have adhered to it. Get it together Bass Pro Shops, and I will just prefer what I need online read more

I stopped in to do a bit of Xmas shopping. I got my wife some Muck Boots. Unfortunately, they didn't have the ones I saw online and they didn't have the color selections I was hoping for. The shoe salesman was helpful but I felt he was a tad bit rude. I asked him, "if they had any other colors in the back" and he responded, "Nope, what you see is what you get." I didn't really appreciate his attitude. I also picked up an extra magazine for a firearm of mine and the salesman I asked for help just pointed to the aisle. He didn't offer to help me find what I was looking for nor did he ensure I walked out with the right magazine. When I got to the line, I was the third person in line but it took every bit of 25 minutes to get checked out. Their technology was slow and the cashier kept messing things up. It was very frustrating. No one in the line had more than 5 items. So it should have been expedient. Lastly, I went out to my vehicle to see if the magazine I bought fit my firearm and it unfortunately did not. So I had to go back in and do the whole process over again. If the salesman just would have helped me I would have been on my way. All in all, this is a beautiful store. The murals are amazing and it is close to 95. read more

Great products WHEN AND IF THEY ARE IN STOCK!!!!! I absolutely get infuriated when I get the Bass Pro Shops ad and they have something I really want at a great price and I am standing at the door the minute they open on the first day of the sale and when they open the doors they are out of stock on that product! How are they out of stock on the first day of the sale when the doors open? And they love to look at you and say "the ad says limited stock" or "available at certain stores." We used to eat there on a regular basis when they first opened. After they changed the menu a couple of years ago, we've eaten there twice and were disappointed both times. The service was fine, but the food disappointing. Last night I ordered grilled mahi-mahi and received what looked like a grilled fish stick. The manager wasn't very sympathetic or helpful, just said it came or packaged that way. My wife's glazed salmon had no visible glaze, wasn't as good as previous meals. I wanted to surprise my husband with a new shotgun for his birthday and joe was extremely helpful in pulling it off! I went in the night before paid, picked out everything I wanted and did the paperwork. I took my husband to dinner then up to the gun shop. Joe had the gun ready with scope mounted so when we walked up to the counter to window shop I surprised him. Joe even made a bow out of a store circular and placed it on the stock. I have to say if you ever want excellent customer service with someone who knows the ins and outs of guns, you have to go see Joe! Here is what my husband had to say! My awesome wife and stepdaughter Michelle And Ashley surprised me with a dinner at Bass Pro Shop and then proceeded to "window shop" in the gun section where a brand new Savage Arms 220 20 gauge rifle with a Nikon scope was waiting for me at the gun counter! The gun merchant even made a bow out of the bass pro circular for the box Thank you ladies for the most awesome birthday present Thank you Joe for making this the best birthday for my husband! Bass Pro is well........Bass Pro. It is a typical big box outdoor store. The sale prices are good but you need to watch the regular prices - some items can be a tad high. Most of the employees are nice and most can answer basic questions. Great place to walk your dog! read more

Love Bass Pro Shops. Kids entertained by displays while dad shops. However, we have found that items listed in sales brochures that come in the mail are often not in the store. We visited the store on June 15, 2018 to purchase three items advertised in the sales brochure for the week. We found that they were out of one store item listed at sale price in the sales brochure ( and no rainchecks), and one other item had never been delivered to the store to sell at all, according to the salesperson. We were able to purchase the third item. This is the third time we have had this experience in the last several years. We travel about 25 miles to visit Bass Pro, so this is quite disappointing. read more

The store is beautiful. They have everything you could want to buy for outdoor living. There were plenty of salesmen and they were friendly. We spent a lot of time looking around and playing with the shooting range. The fish tanks are amazing also. I felt the prices are going to be high if you shop at Walmart all the time but they felt online with prices I pay in outdoor stores in PA, MD or online. What I didn't like was the timeshare people set up by fish tank. They are annoying. My biggest complaint however is I was approached no less than 6 times within 30 min by salesmen trying to get me to sign up for their credit card. I don't know if they have a mandatory quota or a contest going on but it was super aggravating. Then during the checkout process they ask again and hound you the whole time. I honestly felt like I needed to make a sign to stick to my shirt that said I don't want a credit card. It was overboard aggressive. In the middle of checkout our cashier turned to her manager and asked how many have I gotten today 25? So it's obviously a management corporate issue. I took 2 stars off my review for this. read more

This review is for the restaurant, not the store (which I love and would give 5 stars). The food was not good at all. For a $27 halibut entree, I expect some amount of care to be put into preparing the food. The fish was so strongly "fishy" tasting that I was grimacing as I placed each bite in my mouth. And then I was forced to chew it 2x as long as usual because the meat was so tough. I think the fillet should have been discarded about three days prior. If I hadn't been with my girlfriend and in a hurry I would have sent it back. Her food was also just bland and flavorless. So unless you will be so mesmerized by the giant aquarium in front of you while you eat that you won't even notice the food you are eating, I'd recommend driving down the road to the nearest subway for dinner. They put more care into their food preparation than this place. read more

Food and drinks took forever to get to the table. It took so long for someone to get to the table to get our drink order that we ordered our food too. Food was terrible. Who puts sugar on top of their bread?! And the bottom of the bread was soggy as was the bottom of my chicken sandwich. The croutons on my salad were simultaneously hard and chewy. A country store w/ items you probably can't find within a 100 miles. Fudge, moon pies, etc. they have a slew of men's and women's clothing, very extensive casual out door and outer wear.. I can only speak on the Santa Wonderland because that is what made me go there. Just wanted to share some advice for other parents. The pictures with Santa are staged by time frames. typically no matter if you go when it is slow or busy they have you wait 30 minutes to 1 hour. The games and crafts are good idea but not managed. Two of the games were broken and it did not work. The remote control car was dead and could not drive. It just seems like it was planned but not executed well. I went early on a Wednesday at 4:30 my soonest picture time was at 7:30 the kids were not entertained with the games like I said because they were broken. Within 10 minutes they were all ready to leave. We did not wait to see Santa. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR BOAT TO BASS PRO BOAT SERVICE DEPARTMENT !!! Took my 15hp Mercury tiller outboard engine to Bass Pro Boat service department to fix a simple oil leak. One gasket. Said they would get it back to me within a week. They were not busy. Dropped off on December 2nd. Said I'd have it by the 6th of December. After many put offs and multiple mysterious needs to order parts, they finally admitted that they cracked the lower unit and had to replace it. They ordered it and got wrong part and had to reorder. After all this, I FINALLY got my engine back over a MONTH later. Take out for maiden voyage and take the day off to fish with a buddy and within minutes of starting it's smoking. Wasn't spitting water and barely spitting water in forward. Engine now popping and bogging and shutting off. Can't even turn off with button to stop engine. Three new problems that did not exist before. Had to give up and drive an hour back to bass pro and drop back off. They crossed wires to engine shutoff. A bushing was not properly installed for the water cooling. The carb was now gunked up for sitting in their shop for a month (never gone more than a week and a half without running in over 10 years) The manager got crappy with me when I questioned the $120 to fix the carb ! Not even sure it's right, but it ran in the tank and I hope it's finally fixed. (even found loose bolts on the lower unit assembly) One thing is for sure ... I will never take anything there again. Nor will I ever support any bass pro in any way after this experience. I lost something way more valuable than money ... an entire month of my passion and favorite time of year to fish. Irreplaceable and not excusable. To get a bad attitude from the manager after this experience was the icing on the cake. Don't even think of taking anything to them for repair in Richmond, VA. All boat issues will go to Sanderson. Absolutely unbelievable. Poor customer service, workmanship, timeliness and honesty. NEVER AGAIN !!!! The local tackle shop (Green Top Sporting Goods) actually sells almost every item for less than the big box, big money store and the customer service does not compare. Buy local. Who do you think pays for all those big, giant, glossy, full color printed catalogs and fancy stores ... you do. The local tackle shop sells for less and makes way less ... what does that tell you ? Nice place! If you are an outdoorsy person then get your gear from here. They have a price match guarantee which makes it easy to make sure you are getting a good deal. You can also return your items for credit if it doesn't work out. Very customer oriented and they easy to shop. Very cool atmosphere. Just be careful going near the fountain because they will pester you about going on some trip on a boat or something. Avoid that and you will have a great time! read more

After seeing pictures of friends kids with Santa my husband decided to take our children to this location for pictures. After driving well over an hour in the rain with our 6 year old and medically fragile 1 year old he was told they had given out all of their Santa tickets for the day! Oh but wait, it was 3 pm so if they wanted to wait until after 8pm they could wait in line to see him without a ticket.... What an amazing way to say Merry Christmas. Thank Bass Pro, no worries there are other Santas, there are other outdoor stores as well, we will manage to find both from now on. read more

The staff is very helpful and knowledgable, and have very often helped me find things and/or recommended something better or cheaper than what I had picked out. The prices are pretty reasonable. This store is in the middle of nowhere, and is a little weird to find if you haven't been there before. read more

This place I could spend hours in and never lose interest. The Christmas time activities are really fun and the kids always enjoy the crafts and free events. I wasnt a fan of the people working while trying to visit with Santa ladies were rude to people in line and those looking for the line. I have been to Cabela's quite a few times and if there was one close I probably would not have gone here. However, I am glad that I gave Bass Pro a chance. Whenever I need Fly fishing gear, I go here. Not always the best place to get current fishing reports and advice but, for getting gear it is the place for me. I love the decor and the huge selection of merchandise. However as much as I try to love the store, I always seem to run into another reason to dislike it. It is frustrating to need help and find several of the department members all huddled together talking instead of approaching customers. On the other hand, the staff members tying to sell the vacation packages by the large fish tank hover over you like a buzzard over a dead carcass. I signed up for the raffle once, that is enough. With the size of the store and amount of customers at peak times, they should have more bathrooms available. My elderly father will not visit the store anymore for that reason. read more

Really pleased with a soft spoken young lady (can't remember her name) who worked with me to find the perfect boot.
