They even told me they have a special event for club members. First time coming here with my kids. This place is massive and has everything you practically need for camping, fishing, hunting, etc. They have a lot of firearms and ammo for a decent price. They sell boats and ATVs, clothing, footwear, tons of fishing rods and other equipment. They have crossbows, camping gear, you name it. It's awesome! It was my first time into Bass Pro Shop recently & I enjoyed walking around & seeing the numerous sections they had. Love that they had a free Halloween pic for my kid. My sole complaint is the sales staff as they were slightly aggressive for my taste. They will come up to you to try to get you to sign up for a credit card or try their travel deals. I can't stand going into a store & being bothered by sales people. Please leave me alone & let me browse in peace. I probably wouldn't come back because that's how much I want to avoid pushy sales people. Sales people are eager to make a sale but the staff I approached behaved like I was bothering them by asking where certain sections were or if they had more of a specific item in stock in the back. I will give you four stars mainly because the employees every single one of them around the Santa thing was very nice knowledgeable and helpful. Santa was very nice took the time to talk to all of my kids and he was very surprised to see a little boy he was happy big smiles. We took our pictures got candy canes from Santa. Even got extra candy canes for me lol from the employees. Walked around to see the fish tank my daughter got scared and screamed so that was fun ha jk. She loosened up once she seen a fish move around and then she wanted to touch the glass. Walked around trying to find the knives nobody knew where to find the knives I even had customer service call the store nobody could tell her. Walked to the front there was pocket knife at the front. This was our first time and I had a stroller I tried to go back out the side me and my 4 kids came into because it had the stroller part the old man told us to go down the other side of the store to leave and I got upset because just outside the door we was at my car was there. Service at the firearms counter is a joke. I have almost never been helped within 20 minutes and there are always 3-4 employees just sitting back there talking. If you need something from the optics side your best bet is to go to Academy or another Bass Pro/Cabela's. Just an all around horrible experience at the Katy Bass Pro. read more

Bought a new Benelli Raffaello 12 Gage Shotgun waited 5 days for it to arrive. Get down there they cut open the box gun looks great staff member can't get it put together says he has to give it the Benelli bump and slammed in on the concrete. The wood ended up with a chip after the benelli bumb. I complained and they said its sold as is. They would not order me a new one. Only could get a refund. Benelli Bumb on a $3,000 gun where do that find theses guys? read more

Do not buy a bad boy from this place. We bought a brand new buggy, drove it 3 times, then it stopped working. Would not hold a charge, so we took it in before covid. No one was available to look at it, everything was closed for the some time. Once things opened back up we followed up, they had our buggy outside the entire time!! And they couldn't even fix it! Brand new, and only got to drive it 3 times!!!! But hey bass pro shop got their money so that's all they care about!!! Now we have to find someone that knows how to fix it! This is for an online order sent to the store. My original order was May 20th, 2020. I received a confirmation email my order was being processed. After that, I've received constant updates saying my order was delayed. I get that, it's COVID and what I was buying is hard to get right now. But after multiple months, my CC was just charged and I didn't get any communication saying my order had arrived. I also can't talk online because that's down and get get anyone at the store to answer the phone. This is just TERRIBLE customer service experience. It's a 45 minute drive each way to get to the store, so should I go, should I not? I've been charged on my CC with no update. Up your game Bass Pro, I will not be ordering from you again. Who thought it was a good idea to put the handicapped parking places off to the side of the building instead of in front? They have regular parking spaces and curbside pickup right in front of the door. At least have the side door open. This shows what they think of people with limited mobility. read more

Specifically a complaint about firearms and customer service. To start almost every pistol in the display cabinet is scratched up due to the plastic holders they use. So in my case the display was the last in stock, they told me to order through customer service because their system at the gun counter malfunctions. They didn't take cash so I left and put the cash in the bank on the way home so I could order online. They told me at customer service to wait for an email saying it had arrived before coming to pick up, a few days later I get an email from bass pro shop saying it had arrived. I went in after driving 45 mins again to Katy only to find out I need to wait another 24 hrs or until I get another email. They said it probably had arrived just not checked into their system yet... even know I'm getting an email from bass pro shop not fedex... Im praying the 3rd try will be the last time I ever have to step foot in this place!!! You know that feeling where an establishment might be nice but that 1 experience is enough for you to never go back. Smh! read more
