Basing this off of the Santa picture experience only! We honestly love coming to Bass Pro shops at Christmastime because it's the best Santa experience that we've been able to find in town. It's free and you get a 4 x 6. You can upgrade your package, but you'll get the 4 x 6 to take home for free. This year the Santa was so friendly and took care of my two-year-old who is too scared to sit on his lap. He offered several suggestions of different ways to sit and finally we were able to get a picture where he was looking. My husband was so happy! (Haha) We have fun every year and we think that it's a really great experience for families who are looking for a photo with Santa and also a free 4 x 6 to take home. Pro tip you can book your spot online but there's also walk-ins if you have time to wait.

Came to this Bass Pro Shops for the first time for Easter Bunny Pics. We usually go to the Tampa location. This location is much bigger. Everyone is super nice here. We found where Easter Bunny pics are and they have it in a nice area, and it's very organized. They also let us take time to take pics with our cell. This really is a great definition of great customer service.

Had the best experience with the firearm staff at orlando bass pro shop. First if you know Glocks are being discounted Nov 30th and they are not gouging the prices or hoarding them. Staff was very helpful and patient with me. Appreciate you guys!

Making the line to see Santa. Our baby girl is too excited

*Review is only for their Santa Wonderland service* This is really a great opportunity... You schedule your time slot to meet Santa Clause online, you show up at your selected time, you check in, and within 10-15 mins, you get 2 minutes with Santa for free! Not only are you able to take your own pictures, but Bass Pro Shops prints out a free 4x6 picture of your encounter and even send you a digital copy of it via email. You also get a short video clip to send to family. All in all, it is very organized, easy to schedule and free! What more can you ask for? Staff was polite and understanding with my scared toddler and did not rush us (honestly, my toddler was so excited until she saw him up close and then was spooked). Toddler did not seem happy in the pic, but for a free experience, no harm, no foul! Very thankful for this service!!

I come to Bass Pro actually a lot to look around at all the camping gear and just clothes in general. Today I came because it's the Holiday season and they are doing FREE 4 x 6 santa photo! Of course I brought my son today and it was a great experience! I made a reservation online for 3:30pm and went in stood in line and got our picture! After seeing Santa they had a whole kid section where you can write a letter to Santa and send it to the North Pole! They had shooting games and log building activities! Bass Pro is definitely a wonderful store when looking for outdoor products. Everytime I come I always walk around for about an hour looking at everything! You can literally get everything here from a boat to fresh fudge!

Came looking for alligator jerky as a souvenir but left with a few things off the clearance rack and some spices. If you're into camping, hiking, etc it's a great spot to stop. Plus...I don't see a lot of sporting goods in the area overall. Where does everyone shop in Central FL?!

Hilton Grand Vacation Booth

Great shop, weird staff. they try so hard for you to get into their Hilton Grand Vacations. Using the SAME LINE on everyone and when people say no, they continue to try to convince you. Four members were positioned at the Hilton Grand Vacations area, trying so hard to get people to come over. From what I know, it's awful and a lot of people want out.

Santa workshop fun for kids

We came here recently to see santa in their Christmas workshop. We love coming here every year for a free printed photo with Santa. They also have a cool workshop with free activities for children. It certainly gives the perfect opportunity to buy stuff you didn't plan on buying haha. They sale everything outdoors including boats, fishing poles, guns and lots of outer wear. They even have toys and random Knick knacks great for gifts. It's a pretty big store. Similar to LL bean in every way. They even have a cafe in the middle and a huge fish tank full of fish. The employees are very nice and there is never a long line while checking out. Parking is plenty outside.

There were no customer service people in that particular section, but we found it pretty quick since it was in the front of the store. We ended up with a purchase from the gym equipment section and found check out to be pretty quick. The cashier was friendly and asked if I had phone number registered for rewards which I did. He asked if I wanted my receipt which I appreciated since not all places do that. Location of the store is not the best as it is tucked back in the Milennia plaza where there is a lot of traffic. This store also has a wide variety of everything sporting goods, beach and camping gear, and beach a sporting apparel (and at decent prices). However, it's only $10 now that I have my own life jacket (saving me additional cost of $5 to use one of theirs, as required). Well worth the low cost for some soul-enriching, communing with nature. I have never made a reservation. I normally arrive around 10:30, most recently on a Friday. Parked for free on Baptist Camp Rd. Just a bit of a walk from there with my inflated paddleboard, but I don't mind the extra exercise. You can unload your stuff closer, if preferable. There are port-a-potties available. You can count on there being a line in the check-in office. Various recreation supplies are available there for purchase. The process moves reasonably enough. A reservation will guarantee your entrance, however, and possibly aide quicker personal info collection. I always plan to do the Emerald Cut in roughly 3 hours round-trip, allowing myself several stops to enjoy the surroundings. You do run into (quite literally at times) novice paddlers along the way, which can be a bit tricky, yet not a real nuisance for me. In general, there's friendliness along the waterway. Slighty rowdy, party vibes in some spots, but also opportunities for solace and zen in various nooks. Encountering wildlife, fragrant elderberry, and other captivating flora along this stretch is always gratifying. It's a popular recreation destination for good reason.

A few things knock the stars down: - The amount of rules/ regulations is a downside. There are more than any other river we've visited in Florida. It's nerve wracking to make sure you're following every new rule. - Launching and landing at the dock is stressful. It feels rushed and disorganized. - The bathroom situation is DIRE. They have a few porta potties but they're pretty gross. - I've found some of the staff intimidating/ borderline rude. There are a lot of newbies to kayaking/ paddleboarding so patience is a virtue at busy times! It's a hard paddle up stream and coming back it can be easy to lose control around the corners. There are a few spots to be cautious of other paddlers. With that said, it's really stunning. They keep the area very clean and there are a lot of spots to pull off to the side to enjoy the view. I've never done a guided tour, but I've heard they're really well done!

If you are coming here though, the number one thing to know.... if you get cold easily, WEAR A SWEATSHIRT! I am always cold, but these ranges are freezing, FYI! In general, it's best to wear pants, long sleeves, a hat (personally), nothing low cut, and of course closed toe shoes. They have sales all the time on guns and ammo, though I wouldn't personally suggest buying those things here - come here for the range but in my opinion buy your guns and things elsewhere because they do tend to be pricier than others. Though as always, do your research! :)

Store is organized by outdoor activities--fishing, hunting, camping, etc I especially love the foods section that includes chili kits, rubs, jerky and sauces. This is a review for their archery department…read more I decided recently that I wanted to get back into archery (which for me means traditional target shooting with a recurve bow). After receiving terrible service at a local shop in Gainesville, my boyfriend (who was buying this for me as a birthday present) and I came here. Upon walking into that section they really only have compound bows for bowhunting on display and some very expensive all wood recurves hanging behind the counter. There were plenty of people behind the counter though, and one man asked if we needed any help. We told him what we were looking for and that I was a novice archer who had last shot about 6 years ago. He promptly pulled a box out from underneath the counter, told us the price and asked if it was in our range. We said yes and he began putting it together for us. After he had put it together and showed me how it was done, he had me draw it. I said it was fine and more than I shot in High School, which is what I'm looking for since my archery teacher was always pushing me to try a stronger resistance. He then showed me a product called a "whisker biscuit" (I know, sounds lewd right?), which is basically a special attachment to help with nocking the arrow. It holds the arrow in place, meaning it won't fall out mid-release...which I agree is a good idea to have for a novice...especially since this has happened to me! So he attached that on for us. I asked him about a sight and he led us over to where they sell them and selected one to recommend at my re quest of a reasonably priced one. He picked one out and I looked at it, and really liked it! Fiber optic sight with several different pins to mark different distances so there is no need for adjustment once you set them. After attaching everything we had picked out he asked if we need it taken back apart and we did so he obliged. He let us know there was a sale on some arrows and we picked them up as well; he cut them to the proper size and then we were ready to check out! I know it kind of sounds like he was trying to upsell me on a lot of things, but he did listen to our concerns about price and we knew exactly what we were buying. When recommending a product he told us exactly what it was and why it was a good idea, but never said it was a necessity. At any time we could have requested something cheaper or different and I'm sure he would have obliged us with no problem. Great experience, excellent service. Will definitely come back if I need anything. I'm just sad they're in Orlando and not Gainesville :(
