I visited Sunday afternoon for a walk-in brow wax. It was busy, but I only waited a few minutes before I was taken to the space to get waxed. Like most salons, the eyebrow wax was $12 which is good pricing. The employee was very nice. I have sensitive skin so naturally my skin gets very red and irritated whenever it's waxed -- but my eyebrows were way redder than normal. I don't think the wax they use is for sensitive skin, but it's fine, most places don't. Just something to keep in mind if you have plans later in the day or have sensitive skin like mine. read more

Found my new favorite nail place!! I was a walk-in who requested a full set and they were extremely professional, welcoming and accommodating to my schedule. Before driving out there, I called the front desk to ask about availability for walk-ins and the woman on the phone said it would be a 30 minute wait, however by the time I arrived to the salon, I was almost immediately sat at a booth. The man who took me made sure I got the color, shape and style I wanted before getting to work. He was super friendly, made friendly banter, and made sure I was getting what I wanted the entire time he worked on my nails. The overall process took about 1.5 hours, and my nails came out just the way I had hoped they would!! 20/10 would recommend trying this place out read more

I've now found my favorite nail salon in San Antonio. I've been 6 times now and can say without a doubt that the owner Stacy and her team are the best. Located near the quarry, it is easily accessible off hwy 281. I love that they take walk in customers and appointments. The salon is clean, well ventilated and the staff are always kind, efficient and detailed. I'm usually a very boring dip/gel kind of gal but I've found myself trusting the staff to pick colors and styles for me. (Yes, I loved my maroon, bronze sparkle and cat's eye nails). They have lots of colors to choose from and all staff have a great command of language and they trade. They are detailed in filing, shaping and caring for your nails and toes. If you are on a specific time schedule, call ahead and make an appointment. Seems like this is the place to do nails with your friends. The service I requested was a pedicure and I was a walk-in. The service was fantastic! I got the "classic pedicure" and it felt amazing. I had Tiffany doing my pedi and it was nice, quiet and relaxing experience. She also did a great job on my gel polish! Definitely will be back for Tiffany's awesome service! got my nails done a couple weeks ago, I did a full set of manicure nails, round, and gel. I had a specific color in mind and I found the exact match. The seating was nice i like that you can sit next to someone, and the lady who did my nails was sweet. I liked that it didn't take very long and all my nails have lasted the last weeks, no cracks, nothing. I will def be going back !! read more

Basse Nails & Spa 11-3-22. 6/100 My dear friend had a Happy Birthday 50! This month and her sweet husband prepared a surprise day at the Nail Salon for her and three of us to join her. Well done! She was SO surprised and happy to spend the morning with friends having her mani-pedi. It has been a long time since I stepped into a Nail Salon. Just have not had the time or forethought to treat myself. I highly recommend Basse Nails & Spa for their mani-pedi-hot stone massages we received. This is my go to nail spot! No appointment necessary, most times I walk in and am able to be seated quickly. The staff is very friendly and they do a good job. I get complimented on my nails daily thanks to them! There's nothing super glamorous or fancy about the spa at all. Don't believe their online prices. I paid $60 for nails with shellac and $35 for their pedicure. The person doing my nails did not make any conversation with me and burned my finger with the crenel set and did not apologize (no real burn/when rolled in my finger it was HOT). The pedicure and nails were $5.00 more than the online but there are two signs that say they are charging more due to cost and a 3% fee for using debit card. Which means we as the consumer are paying their card machine fees. I did tip the lady that did the pedicure as she made well communication with my husband who had the pedicure and no tip for the lady who never spoke to me and put the hit stemmed on my finger and me trying to make conversation and being ignored. Sorry but not sorry... No conversation and no apology for burning finger with hot stemmed used to smooth out the acrylic. Two star review is for her. Not the lady that did my husband pedicure ( star). Two star for putting your use of the debit card in your customers. Two stars for the lady who did my nails... u need to be nice and make conversation. read more

Updating my initial review.... My first experience was a way too quick pedicure. As of now I've consistently had my nails done by Stacy & Jimmy. They always delivers on my dip nails and they are quick but detailed. I've had pedicures now as well and ive had the pleasure of having way nicer technicians. Love the services I get at this salon and they are all so sweet. They know what they are doing but it's all about finding your go to person based on what you're getting. read more

Perfect nude set Love! First time customer here and I will be a repeat. Ask for Rick! He did my full acrylic set and they came out perfect. Color is called warm pink. Rick did exactly what I asked for and took his time to make sure my nails looks as good as possible. I also got a 5/5 star gel pedi here. Could not recommend this place more. read more

No Mask No Service! Hand sanitizer at the door and Covid-19 waiver needed to sign before service. They also take your temperature. I found this VERY reassuring. If this offends you then stay home and don't be rude to people who are just trying to do what they need to do to run their business. Everything was very clean. Great service. Amazing massage chairs! I got An Organic Spa Experience pedicure, which from start to finish was about an hour long. I thoroughly enjoyed it. My toes look great, my feet are nice and smooth. First time to go here. Chose this spot cause they are in the Quarry and assumed they would do a good job. Went in to get regular acrylic nails. The nail tech was rude she acted as if she was doing me a favor. When I pointed things out that were wrong with my nails, her response was, "it's fine." She rushed through the entire process (total time was less than 30 mins). I told her she didn't put enough Acrylic on at least one nail. She definitely didn't put enough glue...I'm sure they are going to pop off early ‍. You are better off somewhere else or from reading the reviews make sure you get Stacy. read more

We always come here before a trip. We check into hotel by airport, then head straight for pedis. Everyone is very nice. They had new massage chairs this time. We walked in and they were very busy but we were in a chair after waiting only 5 minutes. Great way to relax before getting on a plane. We will be back. read more

Sad I didn't know about this place earlier! This is possibly the best pedicure I've ever gotten! A very attentive male manicurist gave me the pedicure I'm currently rocking, and so far it has lasted me more than a month with no chips, looking beautiful. My friend and I came here after a morning of shopping at Trader Joe's; she got her eyebrows done and I got a pedicure which was long overdue for me, especially since I had a lot of blisters. The manicurist I had took off every blister and scrubbed my feet very well. While he was giving me a manicure, I sat in a comfy massage chair! Super rude. I went in to get my nails buffed and they said "we're too busy, come back later". I would have waited, but they basically told me to leave? I had to call my husband right away to have him come back because he dropped me off, was a huge inconvenience. To top it off I'm 7 months pregnant, so that was inconsiderate to be treated like that... Definitely won't ever come back. Do not recommend them, very poor custom service! read more

I won't be returning to this place. I will say my pedicure lady was awesome and reasonably priced ($40). However my hand nail was a little outrageous. I did a minimal request- short clear gloss acrylic, no color was added, except one tiny Mickey dots in pastels colors. My shape was not the best and some nails are not rounded evenly and worse was some of the nails the acrylic was not laid on correctly so it looks like I needed a refill the day I got them. I was charged $60 for my hands- no manicure. I would've gladly paid if it was done nicely and with more request like a base color or diamonds but I had to tell her how to do Mickeys (3 dots) and some don't look right. It bothers me when a customer is overcharged when the work is not worth that. I asked around and this design was $20 cheaper at several places, no one quoted me $60. read more

My whole family has been going to Basse Nails & Spay, every 3 weeks, for over 7 years. Their newly renovated shop gives a true spa feel. They use an autoclave (I have seen it being used) to clean and sterilize their instruments and they don't open the package until they are working on you. I always make appts. so that we don't have to wait and they always take us on time. They are friendly if you want to talk or they will stay quiet if you want to read or visit with friends. I have read some of the other reviews and feel that some of them may not have expressed their wishes at the outset. Many people like to have mani and pedi done at the same time to save time (if they are in a hurry). I have always expressed my wishes, at the beginning of the appt., or concerns and they were promptly heeded and taken care of. I will continue to go there and recommend it to my friends. read more

At first I was hesitant of coming to this place because of some of the reviews that were said on here but I am SO glad that I came here. They handled everything really well and the staff tried their best to help me walk out with a smile on my face. The place alone looked very well decorated and relaxing. Everything was well cleaned and sanitized. I didn't have to worry about anything! They offered me white wine! At the end, I checked out my nails and they were BEAUTIFUL. They felt so light and clean! I've been on the search for a good nail salon to stick with when i came across this beautiful nail salon. Their service was great and they were willing to work with my wants and needs. They also helped me pick my nail polish that I specifically wanted! I know I can be a bit picky but their eagerness to fit my needs was what made my visit here the best! We were welcomed into the shop, sat in plush comfortable massage chairs, had a glass of wine dnd proceeded to get our pedicures. The grand reopening is set for January 5.
