Though you do have to exit the hotel and walk a few steps down the road to Berrelli's, it's worth it. The atmosphere, quality and value of food are just way better. We had our Christmas dinner here and loved the cozy vibes. The portions are huge yet my dad slurped up his fettuccine Alfredo and my brother his spaghetti and meatballs. Husband loved his short rib. The staff was so pleasant and attentive. To start we had the tuna tartare- clearly it wasn't fresh because the tuna was so dark but it still tasted fine. They brought over complimentary bread and oil which was nice. For entrees I ordered penne with butter for my daughter but we got spaghetti- no biggie My son had grilled chicken and fries. My husband had the chicken piccata. I had a Caesar salad with grilled chicken. Everything was great. When we got the bill we noticed that we were charged gratuity and the bill read "on a party 6 or more" ... we also noticed that we were charged a higher price for the bottle of wine that we ordered... it was a different price on the wine list. The manager apologized and quickly fixed the bill. Overall we did enjoy our dinner and these minor hiccups didn't take away from how great the service, food and ambience was!

Dim lighting, big comfortable leather chairs, bookshelves lining the walls, a fully stocked bar, and historic photos throughout the space create a classic lodge vibe that feels timeless without being stuffy. It is cozy, polished, and incredibly relaxing. The staff is knowledgeable and clearly takes pride in what they serve. The craft cocktails are well made and thoughtful, and if you prefer beer, there are solid options there too. As a bourbon lover, I especially enjoyed their private barrel pick served neat, a real treat and easily a standout pour. This is a perfect pre-dinner or post-evening stop, we have done both, and it works beautifully either way. Dress is slightly casual but leans upscale, and while pricing is a bit higher than average, it feels completely worth it for the setting, quality, and experience. We sank into the chairs, talked story with friends, and lost track of time, which really says it all. If you are anywhere near Skytop Lodge, make sure this is on your list. Plan extra time, you will want to linger.

As an entree, my sister and I ordered the chefs special to share. It came with a steak, crab cake, and lobster tail, steamed string beans, and mashed potatoes. There was also a variety of sauces. Everything was soo delicious and loved that we got a taste of everything with the platter. We enjoyed our dinner and loved the ambiance. Unfortunately, it was cold and rainy on this occasion, so enjoying their sprawling outdoor area was out of the question. Instead, we grabbed some drinks from the bar and took them over to one of their worn-in leather couches. My first cocktail was the Jalapeno Margarita with its inclusion of blood orange puree. I liked it well enough, but it had a lot of orange flavor, which I was not super into. I preferred my companion's Smoke Signals, which was like a spicy mezcal margarita with pineapple. Secondly, I had their Hot Apple Cider spiked with mezcal, which I enjoyed more, despite (or, rather, in spite of) it being super boozy. From the log cabin-ish vibe to the friendly staff and excellent cocktails, Early Terrible is a creative lounge worth exploring.

The bar nibbles are otherwise quite light and limited, so come prepared to drink and dance but not stuff your face, unless you come on pizza days. Would I be a regular if I were local? Honestly, I think it's ridiculous to charge customers $2+ for a little thing of flavored butter when the steak already costs about $60. I ordered my steak medium rare and it came out medium. It really didn't have much flavor either. There wasn't that filet mignon crust you'd expect from a steakhouse. It needed to be better seasoned. Drinks: our waitress said that they have a mystery old-fashioned where the bartender just makes whatever kind of old-fashioned they wanna make. So I ordered that and it came with some cranberries in there, but honestly, the drink just tasted like an old-fashioned. There was no mystery about it. Service: it was fine nothing to write home about. The bar was quite full, and there were quite a few people crowded around and standing around the bar, but there weren't all that many people in tables. Kind of took away the ambience of the restaurant and made it feel more like a bar. We'll probably go back because it's the only steakhouse around that's not a franchise, but I did make filet mignon at home after this, and it was much better.
