We walked over to Bastina after having dinner at Basta. I picked up a Maldon smoked sea salt, cookies and beverages. They offer fresh pasta, sauces, salads (including my favorite octopus salad), vegetables, cheeses, cured meats, paninis and prepared lasagnas, meatballs, and parmigiana to go! Staff is friendly and shop is clean. We will be back :).

Lunch from Bastina was delicious. My husband and I stopped by to get sandwiches on Saturday afternoon. Very nice customer service. The store is beautiful and welcoming. Everything looked amazing, the freshly baked breads, the pasta, the salads, the sauces and ready to take home meals. So much to choose from. All The sandwiches sounded so delicious, it was hard to choose. I picked the Niccola and my husband ordered the Bastina. Both amazing. We enjoyed our sandwiches and will be back again when in the area. Check them out, you won't be disappointed. Also I love their restaurant next door. Basta ....

Basta in a smart business move has opened up a small little location next to its Agoura restaurant location where you can buy fresh pasta and sauces to go. Lunchtime and having a sandwich there is a must. As long as prices stay competitive and not too expensive, I think the concept will work and be a huge success. So far I have ordered several portions of different pasta and all have been worth it. Suggestions- keep building out the menu with new evolving alternatives. Thank you.

Yesterday, 4/18 was the soft opening of this Saverio Posarelli and Devon Wolf, an adorable husband and wife team, of Basta, sandwich and Italian market spot. You'll find their proprietary oils and sauces. We sampled the short rib sandwich and shared a cookie. Both were sumptuously delightful. We also grabbed a pizza dough rolling pin with the signature Bastina logo. In a community that continues to want fine dining but struggles to keep it due to high rents. Next time you want to treat yourself, grab a sandwich or pasta and walk down to Agoura Wine and Beer. Order a glass of something special and live your best life.

Delicious food, attentive servers and a comfortable setting. Menu is great, hard to decide because it all is tempting.

If you were having a special occasion, we would go to three or more different places to order the catering. I consider myself, not an expert but a decent judge of authentic Italian food. This is the spot I choose for meat lasagna and for their meatballs. I haven't tried anything else yet. We ordered their meat lasagna for a birthday party. We picked it up on Saturday afternoon at 3PM exactly when they said it would be ready. They wrote the directions on top of the cover and we followed them exactly as written. The lasagna was so good that our guests were all pleased. Many asked where we got it. I was proud to tell them I'd made the right choice by going the extra mile to Italia deli. We had 20 guests, everyone had a piece and some of our friends took a couple pieces home. We still had leftovers to put in the freezer. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I'm looking forward to going there for a whole meal so I can bring back the comfort of real Italian home cooking.

They do a fantastic job with seasonal specials, but their staples are the real stars. The pizzas are packed with flavor - the Margherita and Quattro Stagioni are so good I can never decide between them! You can truly taste the quality in their handmade pasta. My absolute go-to is the Taglierini with Pesto and fresh Burrata - it is a total "chef's kiss" every single time. The service is consistently warm and welcoming, making you feel like part of the family. They don't take reservations, and the secret is definitely out. We've waited over an hour for a table before, so arrive early and plan accordingly!

Maddeningly so. We both also felt the food- for the first time in maybe 30 or more times eating here- was not good. Not horrid. Not inedible. Just not...good. Not at ALL what we have told many friends, family, and business associates for years. So we will give it a few months or more before we try again. I am not recommending this place anymore, and I'm sure they will be just fine. They are very popular now, and maybe that's why it was better before. It happens.

The salad was fresh and flavorful, the lasagna was outstanding -- comforting, rich, and clearly made with care -- and the wine was excellent. What really sets this place apart is the hospitality. The manager/owner made us feel genuinely welcome, checked in at the right moments, and made sure everything was perfect without being overbearing. That personal touch makes a huge difference. This is the kind of neighborhood Italian spot people don't talk about enough. If you're looking for great food, great wine, and real hospitality, don't sleep on this place. We'll definitely be back.

The restaurant is small, with around 10 tables, and only about half were occupied, so it was not busy. We were seated at a nice table, but that was the highlight of the evening. The server took our order and that was essentially the last interaction we had with them. The food took about 45 minutes to come out for a simple pizza and pasta. When it did arrive, it was very mediocre. Nothing memorable, and honestly worse than many chain restaurants. Service was the main issue. Every time we needed water, utensils, or anything at all, we had to physically get up and ask the busser for help. I repeatedly tried to get the server's attention, but he avoided eye contact and never checked on our table. We also wanted more bread, but there was no one available to ask. Because it was my birthday, I expected at least a basic acknowledgment. We were never offered a dessert menu or asked about preferences. Instead, a tiramisu was brought to the table with a candle without asking. I am highly allergic to chocolate and caffeine, so I couldn't eat it at all. To make matters worse, no forks or spoons were provided with the dessert. After waiting several minutes, I had to get up again to ask for utensils. I would not return to this restaurant. The service was unacceptable, the food was mediocre, and the overall experience completely missed the mark for a birthday dinner.
