    Burrata
    Angela D.

First time here with my friends and we had a lovely time. The food was delicious and the presentation was excellent. We got burrata and a beet salad to start. Then we shared the branzino, short rib pasta, and lobster pasta with glasses of wine. Dessert was a chocolate soufflé and tiramisu which was so good. The atmosphere was very cozy and service was great. It was pretty full for a Saturday night so I'm sure they have a steady list of regulars who frequent this spot. For my first time, I really liked it and would come again.

You will definitely feel a bit of that old school Italian restaurant vibe at Noi Due. As for the food...the Bresaola was that perfect combo of meat, cheese, and arugula. Really nice start. The cacio e pepe was solid, not Rome but not fair to compare. The Brasato Barolo was a pleasant surprise. The meat was so tender, they brought a cutting knife but no need. Not only was it tender but the rich sauce was perfect. Lots of parking, service was ok, loved seeing the owner out and about to every table.

This place is a MUST try!! From the service, the ambiance, and the delicious food everything was 10/10 and can't wait to return! My boyfriend and I went for our anniversary and we enjoyed every moment of it. It made us feel like we were back in Italy!! The bread, AMAZING. Best I've had from any restaurant. The pasta, the sauce was sooo flavorful. The lamb chops, fire and the potatoes were delicious. Can't go wrong with anything from here!!

Most delicious item here is their Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe!! It's simply delectable, mouthwatering and ultra addicting!! Sauce is very rich and full of flavor!? You can also order Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe glutton free if you have to but I tried both and there's no comparison to the original. Either way, have some of their bread which is very tasty too. A great Start is their home made minestrone. So authentic and flavorsome!. They offer great tasting seafood too: The Sea Bass, Branzino or Salmon are all very delicious especially with a side of mashed potatoes!!! The owner Antonio is very nice too and checks in on all his guests. Only thing that need improvement is the speed of their service.

I need more than 5 stars. The takeaway: get your butt over here. Food, service, wine, staff and atmosphere all get 5 stars. Let's break this down, shall we? Antonio, the owner, greeted us like we were regulars. He brings us to our table and we chat about Los Angeles area restaurants, feeling each other out and we eventually prove that we (and by that I mean mainly my partner) know enough names of restaurant owners, chefs and maître d's to show we understand the elements of a good restaurant meal. We selected a pinot noir Hahn SLH recommended by the waiter and at the first sip knew we were in for a great evening. Conversation with the waiter exhibited a truly deep understanding the elemental ingredient of each dish. The bread: exquisite. Eat it. That is enough said. Cesar salad. Expertly dressed, the only downside (and I mean only downside for the whole evening) was that anchovy filets were not on the salad. We ordered a side of them and they were the pedestrian and salty brown sardines, instead of the delicate white sardines you get at Mozza (for instance). Next stop: Branzino. Cooked just right, from the flaked flesh to the semi-crisp skin. A squeeze of lemon was not necessary, but did elevate. Fettuccini with mushrooms in a wine sauce: perfectly al dente, and the mushrooms were coaxed to produce a perfect hint of... was that truffle? No, no... umami. Yes, that was it. Dessert: they were out of the amaretto semifreddo so we had the strawberry semifreddo. Better than average, but slightly below par for this establishment. These guys know exactly what they are doing. Just all over a wonderful dining experience.

Nowadays…read more.... There are sooooo many options of where you can purchase your adult beverage of choice. A recently turned 21 year old with no experience or even your middle-aged neighbor who you know is an absolute Lush now that she's retired will likely go to a Drug store like Rite Aid or CVS to get their weekly supply. Word on the streets is, they have amazing boxed wines ;) "I'll take a glass of your finest Franzia Cab." A busy Mom of 3 will probably pick up a bottle of her favorite "red"... And you know Stella Rosa is at the top of her list. I mean, might as well treat herself when she gets home after knocking out the bi-weekly grocery run. Am I right? Then there is always that one college kid on his way to a house party who for sure is going to stop at his local liquor store to grab a 30-pack so he can prove that he is once and for all, The Beer Pong King to all of his friends and that one girl he has been so desperately trying to impress. Best of luck my man! Or what about that recently remarried Dad who loves a good deal on wine and wants to stock up for that upcoming wine mixer that his young new bride wants to throw for this weekends Labor Day Soirée. I mean, Kirkland Signature Label has got to be legit right? I hear they also make a very tasty dog food as well ;) Just teasing ya Costco... I still love you. And finally, there's that one store, the museum of all things Alcohol. You know, The Total Wine's of the world. I remember my first time stepping into this place, and I was in awe. Aisles and Aisles and more Aisles of every spirit, liqueur, wine, or beer you can possibly imagine. But as impressive as all of this is, it's a bit overwhelming and it can be difficult making a clear choice with so many damn options to choose from. And then..... There. Was. One. Agoura Wine & Beer This space is refined, elegant and is welcoming to all who enter. With only one aisle that is lined floor to ceiling with both local and regional wines, & of course a small selection of craft beers, there is no doubt that you will find something here that you will love. Questions? Need a recommendation?? Still wondering the difference between Petite Sirah and Syrah aka Shiraz??? Yeah, me too. Well there's no need to wander aisle after aisle looking for someone to assist you like the other places above. Just ask one of their friendly staff who will be happy to help guide to what you are looking for. Wait!! What is that at the end of the store? Wine tasting? Beer sampling??... Move out of the way kids, Daddy needs to check this out. Yes, they have a small bar top in the back and a patio out back where you can wine taste or have one of their rotating beers on tap. (Sorry, no one under 21 in the back area, but hey, that's ok, we all need a little adult time). They do have a few packaged small bites available, but feel free to bring outside food. (there are a few nice eateries in the same Whizin's shopping center; my vote is for Two Doughs Pizza!) So... To my Conejo Valley and Adjacent locals who are looking for a little more intimate wine purchasing experience whether on Domestic or Imported Wines or even local craft beers... I say, come check out Agoura Wine & Beer. Have a nice glass of wine or a hefty pour of beer and then get some one-on-one time with of of their staff who can recommend a bottle or two or even three to bring home to enjoy later. Pro Tip: If they happen to ask you, what is your favorite kind of wine, for the love of God, please don't say "boxed". Instead... 1) Say your varietal. (Cab. Pinot, Chenin Blanc, Burgundy, etc.) 2) If you don't know that, at least throw out a color (white/red/rosé) 3) heck, throw out your favorite vintage, maybe they have the "good stuff" in the back. So, who's ready to go wine/beer shopping? I'll be waiting by the bar!

The menu is on a small iPad so you can click on a picture a see what the menu item looks like. I liked this feature so I knew exactly what I was ordering. We decided to order the crispy cauliflower, the short rib hummus dish, and baba's chicken. The crispy cauliflower was delicious. I liked the sauce and crispy chickpeas that came with it. We really enjoyed the short rib with the hummus and pita too. The meat was tender and the combination of the flavors was excellent. Baba's chicken was amazing. It was better than I expected. The flavor of the chicken with the couscous and carrots was great. We would get all of these items again. We ended the meal with the chocolatine dessert. This was one of the best desserts we've ever had. The warm chocolate Crossiant bread pudding with the horchata ice cream on top was perfection. I loved the little detail of the sprinkled honeycomb. We would come back just for this dessert! We loved all of the food we ate at Cork Dork and look forward to our next visit!

As pescatarians, we found the menu somewhat limited. While the food was competently prepared and attractively presented, it did not justify the final bill of $213.77. The meal began with a complimentary amuse-bouche of burrata cream on watermelon tasting which was elegant and flavorful, but small. For starters, we ordered the Hamachi, Salmon Tartare Tacos, and Smoked Trout Toast. Each dish had an interesting concept, but none stood out. The salmon and tartare were ground so finely that they lacked the texture and freshness we expected. For our entrées, we had the Tomato & Burrata and the Sea Bream. The sauce accompanying the burrata was excellent and was the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the sea bream itself was slightly overcooked. We also tried two non-alcoholic drinks: a hibiscus mocktail and a lychee lemonade. Both were pleasant but unremarkable. For dessert, we ordered the peach galette and the chocolate dessert. They were nicely presented but tasted average. The chocolatine contained croissant bits. Given the restaurant's prices, we expected desserts to be better curated and with memorable flavors. Instead, they reminded us of supermarket-quality desserts. Overall, this is a beautiful restaurant with excellent service, but the food did not live up to either the presentation or the price. We'd consider returning for the atmosphere, but not for the value.
