I really liked this store and the staff here was really friendly. I came to return a product and was nicely greeted and also did not have to wait in line which is always a plus! I also loved the layout of the store, it was spacious and candles, body care, aromatherapy are all in different sections. The store was clean, neat and had a variety products in stock.

This store should be every woman and man's best store to shop. If you're looking for the perfect gift for anyone. Male, female, young or old this place has the perfect gift for them. When I'm store to get a friend some candles and got candles, lotion name holder, and body spray.....omg. This is why I stay away from that store. Love it.

    $8.50 candles ? I'll take 7 !

I really like this location. It's big and easy to find what you are looking for. When they have huge sales it's more like a zoo in there and you can be waiting in line for at least 15min. The employees here for the most part are very nice & eager to help you find something. This weekend the guy working the front door spent about 10min looking for a particular candle I wanted which I thought was super sweet. I didn't care to much that they "gave" me a shopping bag upon entering the store then during checkout I saw they charged me $1.50 for it and I told the chick to take that off I am fine w/ the free paper bag. I went on to tell her they should inform people that the bags are $1.50 before giving them to us right when we walk in. She was like well there is a sign saying they cost. I told her we (customers) are not looking at a sign if they are putting it in our hands as soon as we come through the door. Anyhoo she was a little rude and I feel like bath & bodyworks were trying to sneak another $1.50 out of people. Other than that love this location. I usually park on the street & put $1 in the meter. That gives you like 20min at least. Wish they would bring the $5 off coupons back for leaning a review. Overall they get 4 stars.

Whew the manager was so unbelievably rude to me when I asked a question. Sorry she's that miserable. Otherwise, the store itself was nice.

If I see a BBW, I have to go in and probably end up buying things I didn't intend on purchasing.

The many scents that hit my nose as soon I opened the door hit me hard, but in a good way! I, at first, thought I was in a soap store, Candlefish is at the north end of Ponce City Market close to the parking lot. It's a nice, open, bright space, with welcoming and friendly employees. After I realized that it was multiple various candle scents that I was smelling at the same time, a smiling employee came to me, and told me to let her know if I needed any help and if she could help me find anything. I told her that I was just looking. After picking up a variety of candles, such as mimosa, pina colada, Bloody Mary, and others, and smelling each of them, the candles started smelling similar. Not that they actually did smell similar, it's just that the scents throughout the store were just overwhelming me. This was my queue to leave. I will most likely be back to take a closer look at what Candlefish has. The store smelled really nice.

One thing I found very amazing is the fact that they have candle workshops, where you can make your own candles. They have over 100 scents you can choose from. This amazing place is a woman owned business that offers a variety of crafts such as candle making, body butter making, perfume making, and body scrub making. We indulged in candle making. What an experience. They have a variety in of oils for you to create your own unique signature fragrance and provide you with all the tools to make your own candle. The staff hospitality went above and beyond, made me feel comfortable and welcomed. They give you great guidance and encouragement throughout the process. This place is great for a date night or to host an event such as a birthday party or girls night out. Complementary parking is offered at the parking lot located in front of the business. We got the pleasure to have met the owner and was fortunate enough to hear how she began her business. Through hard work and persistency she was able to make her dream come true. I am definitely coming back to try their other activities and introduce this place to my girlfriends. Do yourself a favor and come and experience this for yourself, you will absolutely not be disappointed!

The little touches made the experience even bette; doublesided tape to help place your candle wick (my long nail girls get it), scent cards so you can recreate your custom candle later, and conversation cards at each table. Know before you go: parking is rough. I recommend using the paid lot behind the studio instead of trying to squeeze into the main parking lot. It was well worth it. Overall, such a fun experience.

A class was about to start in 15 minutes and there were still a few spots left and I was able to join in. The class size was close to 20-25 people split between two large long tables where you had plenty of room to create. The entire run time for the class was probably about 2 hours. Very chill environment and you are provided the opportunity to create scents until you get the exact smell that you want for your candle. There were two people overseeing the class and they encourage mistakes and do overs. I did notice that people were able to BYOB. I thought that was neat as most people in the class seemed to be celebrating a birthday with a group. We were offered water during the class which I felt was considerate. The space doubles as a retail store and you're able to buy candles from known candle companies and some local companies as well. For the experience, I felt that value was fair. $50 to make and take your candle the same day. We were notified that it takes some time for your candle to set so you can't take it immediately which was fine because they will hold your candle for up to 6 wks for pickup which was gracious! I would go back in a heartbeat. Great experience!
