Premium holder and yes I have burned it for numerous hours at this time.

Great time hanging with my daughter making candles. The venue is nice, but there was a party downstairs where the music was super loud. It was good music though They were out of my favorite scent, but that had numerous others to choose from which was nice. And the young lady helping us was super sweet. Also, unlike many candle making places, we got our candles before we left!

Amazing! Great for date night, celebration or ladies night. Large variety of fragrances to chose from. Great direction from the friendly accommodating staff. Our candles turned out amazing!

This was so much fun!! They let us bring in our own food and drinks. BLACK OWNED and LOVED IT. The variety of scents are amazing and my candle smells great. I checked in with Yelp and got a free candle. I refuse to burn my candle because it smells sooooooooo good. Definitely a great experience and I look forward to going again!!!!

I will always buy their collection always!!!

The many scents that hit my nose as soon I opened the door hit me hard, but in a good way! I, at first, thought I was in a soap store, Candlefish is at the north end of Ponce City Market close to the parking lot. It's a nice, open, bright space, with welcoming and friendly employees. After I realized that it was multiple various candle scents that I was smelling at the same time, a smiling employee came to me, and told me to let her know if I needed any help and if she could help me find anything. I told her that I was just looking. After picking up a variety of candles, such as mimosa, pina colada, Bloody Mary, and others, and smelling each of them, the candles started smelling similar. Not that they actually did smell similar, it's just that the scents throughout the store were just overwhelming me. This was my queue to leave. I will most likely be back to take a closer look at what Candlefish has. The store smelled really nice.

From the moment I walked in, I had concerns. When we arrived, there was only one employee working. The lighting was very dim, there was little to no air conditioning, and although the music selection was good, it was much too loud. The appearance of the first staff member was not professional, and about 30 minutes later another employee arrived looking as though she had just woken up from a nap. Our candle-making class started late because the staff seemed disorganized. Several guests ordered food and drinks, and the drinks took an extremely long time to arrive. When I ordered food, no one informed me that I would have to wait until after the candle class was over to receive it. Ironically, the only food allowed in the room was food brought in from outside the establishment. During the class, the room was hot, dark, and even had a broken bar stool. The instructor often stood 5-6 feet away from the table and provided very little hands-on guidance. Most of the engagement came from the participants rather than the staff. There was little effort made to create an interactive or welcoming experience. One of the few highlights was the fish. Although I did not receive exactly what I ordered, it was fresh and tasted very

Nope, one peek and I quickly grabbed my phone (& holy oil.) It's a small store with the scent of incense wafting through the air. A stern looking lady (who was not my Grandma) stood watch over everyone. The first thing that struck me were the handwritten signs barking orders like, "Don't write numbers in these books. This isn't a library, books are for sale! No refunds. No mixing oils except Myrrh and Frankincense" etc. Ok... The candles clearly aren't being purchased for their beauty or fragrance. I was fascinated and a little scared. You can put roots on people and make them fall in love with you by burning a 'Come Back to Me' candle. 'Break Up' has the opposite effect. You can cast spells, get a miracle, rid your house of evil (Run Devil Run & Exorcist) and get Quick Money rich! There's also a Jinx Removing soap and Court Case shampoo. Prices range from $8 to $15. I asked the sales lady 1) if they were all the same candles in different bottles, 2) if "Grandma" made them and 3) if this was a voodoo/black magic shop. I mean the skull and cat shaped candles were a dead giveaway. The answer was no... And she clearly didn't know what the Pull Out candle was for. But she said she burned her Libra Zodiac and money candles. And you're still working??? She said they get a lot of African and Caribbean customers but it was empty. Probably because there were no Christmas specials (sad face.) There were gift sets. I left after I was caught snapping pics... In short, Grandma's is no Yankee Candle but if you're a witch or know what the High John Conqueror or Dragon Blood is for, it just might be your jam!

Ehh, not the best, but it is definitely worth it and it was free. I was invited here for a real estate event. Don't know how I got on the list, but I'm not going to question a free experience in the A. This place is divided into two sections. One section for body scrubs and butters and the other for candles. We chose the candle experience. It was really fun! Very engaging and interactive. There was plenty of staff readily available to assist you with any questions you had. Regular price would have been $43.56 per person, but even then it would have been worth it. The whole experience lasted an hour or two if even. You'll have to forgive me, there was some alcohol involved in the process which made everything all the more lively. The owner is the sweetest! She made sure to connect with everyone. The candle aroma oils were expansive and you could quite literally create just about anything and everything you could think of, including any of the premade candles (available for purchase) on the walls. The best part? You get to name and keep your candle to take home. 10/10 ATL experience. Highly recommend.

Whether you're planning a girls' day, date night, or solo reset, this is the spot. And yes, they also offer body butter and candle-making classes (which I'm already planning to come back for). Bonus points for being Black-owned, woman-owned, and so clearly rooted in community and creativity. Atlanta needs more places like this!

Our instructor clearly walked us through the candle-making process step by step, making it easy to follow even for beginners. Let me just stop by saying 10 out of 10…read more You have to book this class online to reserve a spot, but once you do, you're good to go. I happen to find this thought randomly while walking around Alpharetta and I thought it was really cool of an idea. It's a small shop that sells fragrances and they teach a class. For the class. You'll come in and you'll check in and you'll have a seat. They'll put on an apron and have you put one on as well and begin the conversation. Now this isn't just you going to throw some fragrances together to see what happens, they're going to give you a history and some context around the fragrances and the science behind it. Which is really super dope. They're very descriptive and very thorough and they even answer questions. If you have questions that need to be asked to help you with the process. The presentation takes maybe about a half hour or so, but like I said it's a lot of information so that's not a bad thing. After that you'll be getting to all of the fragrances in front of you. Now you have a bunch of oils in front of you that are going to be there for you to test and try as well as some droppers and beakers and things like that to mix fragrances. You're basically going to play a cologne scientist and put together a number of fragrances that you like as a combination to make your own specific and particular scent. And that's really cool in itself. You have at least an hour or an hour and a half to do this so you have time but this is the hardest part. Because now there are so many fragrances to try. You want to try so many combinations, you can't do it all LOL. At the end of it, you'll submit your information and you are able to tip them when you submit your fragrance. Please tip these people, they work there by self to make sure you have a good experience. They'll let you name your fragrance and they'll print out a label for you and you'll have a fragrance roller that you can use for travel. They'll explain. The actual uses for it so you don't have to worry about that. But you'll get a personalized fragrance that nobody else has. So if that in itself is clutch! If nothing else, you'll get something that's only yours. But at the end of the day, this is a super duper dope experience that you can't just walk in and do at any perfume shop. I loved it. I would actually go back again and make another personalized fragrance for me.
