Had a great time here. First time experiencing axe/knife throwing. Coaches were all very helpful. Overall staff were very engaged and provided a good experience. Very welcoming environment for all. Inclusive. We did not try the food so cannot speak to that. Highly recommend.

Good place for a date night, stress reliever or a friends outing. I made a reservation in advance online ($20 deposit to hold). They were accommodating to push our reservation back by 30 min because we were running late. It was a double date (4 ppl) and we signed up for an hour. They have you sign your waiver when you come in. In the beginning of your session, They do give you instructions on safety and teach you how to throw a couple different ways (two handed vs one). This part does take up your time to play the games they have. I wish they would allow a 10 min teaching session prior to your start time. It took us about almost 20 min to go over safety and learning how to throw. So we had a shorter time to get games in. By the time we got comfortable with throwing and got in a grove, time was up. So I would recommend going for 2 hours if you have more than 2 people in your group. They have where you can preorder food (Pizza from Star Pizza) or you can bring your own outside food. They have a counter top and barstools for every lane. You aren't allowed to bring outside drinks. They have beer, wine, cider available. No hard liquor. That's best for your safety to not be drunk around axes. Closed toe shoes is required and I highly recommend athletic/athleisure attire to be comfortable and free to move.

This was so much fun! The staff explained how to play very carefully. They let you take some test throws before the clock starts ticking. The handout they provide with different games was very helpful and made game play even more fun. They have swag you can purchase and food and drinks as well. There were plenty of lanes to play on so not much waiting per turn.

So much indoor fun was had here for our SomosLoud summit group. The ambiance was casual and the employees were fantastic. They took the time to go over everything with us one on one and told us what we were doing wrong. I definitely recommend coming here. There were about 25-30 of us in our group and I will definitely return to release stress. I Don't know if there was food or not but drinks were available.

This is my third time axe throwing, but my first time here. The first two times were at a different place in the city. I will say I prefer this place! We reserved for a group of 8 on a Sunday. Other than a local league for serious axe throwers on the other side of the place, our group was the only one there. Dan was so helpful getting us checked in and giving us the run down of the place. They have a full bar which was nice. You can bring your own food if you'd like. The space itself is nice - more room than the other place I've been to. There we're also TV's so if you're waiting on your turn and not cheering your friends on, you can glance at the games shown on tv. Overall, i recommend this place. I'd definitely come back next time we feel like axe throwing!

Definitely will be back! The instructors were fantastic--so friendly and knowledgeable. They took the time to teach us how to throw the axes and knives with precision, which made the experience even more enjoyable. My favorite part was throwing the big axe--it was such a thrill! Plus, the variety of games you can play adds a fun twist to the entire experience. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a fun, unique outing. Can't wait to return!

Such a great experience. We had an awesome time trying both the knife and axe throwing. The screens showing the scores were a nice touch!

Quality of the steak isn't the best, but not bad. Drinks at Kirby Ice House was pretty pricy. Lots of outdoor seating and large screens. Pet friendly! So bring your dogs/furbabies! They also live up to the whole "longest bar in Texas" where there is a 100+ foot bar area that stretches. There's plenty of tvs inside and outside so you can find any type of sports you're looking for as you guzzle down your beverages. Speaking of beverages, there's roughly 30+ beers on tap and just about every kind of spirit you can think of. Self-serve water coolers are available when you need to hydrate yourself if you've had one too many drinks. There's also a food truck here for eats with rotations (check the website for the schedule). It's pet friendly as well and they have drink specials every day. Bartenders are pretty attentive; I've never had issues getting a drink here, even when it's gotten slammed for NFL sunday or college football. Glad this is in my neck of the woods for sports watching and drinking.

PARENTS BE AWARE: if you bring your family here, be prepared for zero grace, poor communication,…read moreand a confrontational approach to enforcing rules. There is little patience shown toward families, and situations can escalate unnecessarily. We've been regular customers here since this place opened and never had an issue until this visit. We're a family with two young kids and don't consider ourselves difficult customers. Our son briefly had a small ball. The person who I later learned is, or believe to be, the owner told us that balls weren't allowed. We immediately apologized, smiled, and put it away. No argument, no resistance, and the ball was never used again. Later, that same person came back and spoke to my wife in an aggressive, confrontational, and disrespectful way. The very first thing he said to her was, "I told you that balls were not allowed," despite the fact that our child was no longer using a ball. He clearly misunderstood the situation -- other children nearby (not with us) were playing with balls -- yet chose to lead with an accusation rather than calmly clarifying. Once he realized those children were not ours, he never apologized for the mistake. He simply walked away and went on to confront the other family instead. When I tried to explain this and asked that he speak respectfully to her, he became defensive, dismissed me outright, told us we could leave, and refused to hear anything further. The situation escalated into a verbal confrontation involving profanity on both sides. I'll own my part in that -- but the escalation was completely unnecessary and avoidable. What made this worse is that I later confirmed this person was the owner. That's deeply disappointing. Regardless of rules, there is no excuse for engaging with customers in a hostile, dismissive, or aggressive manner. This guy is arrogant, and rude. We won't be returning. If balls are not allowed, there should be clear signage. There was none. A simple sign would prevent situations like this entirely. I'm leaving this review so others can make an informed decision. This is not about one mistake -- it's about how it was handled.

Once inside, I immediately noticed how much seating they offer--and not just a bunch of tables crammed together. There are several different seating options depending on your vibe. Outside you'll find fun swing benches, high-top bar seating, and patio tables. Inside, there are booths, bar seating, and traditional tables, so it feels like there's a spot for everyone. We were greeted right away (always a good start), grabbed a seat, and started analyzing the menu. I'll be honest--the brunch menu didn't completely win me over at first glance. However, when in doubt, order a mimosa. So that's exactly what I did, along with the pulled pork potato(Excellent decision). The pulled pork potato was flavorful, filling, and exactly what I was hoping it would be. The mimosa was equally enjoyable, although I did manage to create a small scene trying to pour the juice into the champagne. I survived, but perhaps a more pour-friendly glass could save future brunch guests from wearing part of their drink. Thankfully, I only needed a splash anyway.Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to try the beer wall this visit, which is exactly why I'd recommend coming here at least twice. This isn't the kind of place where you want to rush through the menu and call it a day. There are enough food and drink options to justify a return trip so you can get the full experience. The restaurant was clean, including the restrooms, which always earns bonus points from me. Another thing I appreciated was the noise level. The music added to the atmosphere without taking over the room. You could actually enjoy a conversation without shouting across the table, which seems to be a lost art these days. And before I forget--if you're someone who loves a good photo opportunity, you'll find plenty of cute spots around the restaurant to snap a few pictures.Overall, good food, good drinks, good atmosphere, and enough reasons to come back for round two.

The biggest red flag? Patron vehicles being towed under circumstances that appear predatory and poorly communicated. Multiple customers--including myself--were blindsided by towing while actively patronizing the business. There was little to no clear signage, no warning, and zero accountability from staff. Whether or not it technically skirts the law, it feels deceptive and hostile to customers. Inside, things don't improve. Service is painfully slow and indifferent, as if the staff would rather you weren't there at all. Orders are forgotten, drinks sit empty, and requests are met with eye rolls instead of help. You get the strong sense that customer service simply isn't a priority. Then there's the cleanliness--or lack of it. Sticky tables, dirty floors, and restrooms that look like they've been neglected for far too long. It's hard to enjoy food or drinks when you're questioning how often anything gets cleaned. Between the towing fiasco, the poor service, and the grimy environment, Cedar Creek Bar & Grill feels less like a neighborhood hangout and more like a trap for unsuspecting patrons. Houston has too many great bars and restaurants to waste your time--or risk your car--on this one. Not recommended.
