Joey Villegas is the man! My husband, Jeff, was stuck downtown with a dead car battery last week, during rush hour, and needed to get hooked up--fast. I called the Burnet location and worked with Joe to get a battery lined up. When my husband arrived at Batteries Plus 30 minutes later, Joe had the battery ready to go, tested the old one to be sure we actually needed it, did a superfast install, disposed of the old battery, got us hooked up with our rebate info. and quickly back on the road. Chris was great. Lone man running the shop, but it was an off time. No matter I think he would have given me as much individualized attention as I needed. When a delivery man showed up at the back door, he excused himself for all of a minute and then apologized for having to interrupt our conversation. Just go somewhere else!!! Awful!!!. I went to this place to get my iPhone 6 screen replaced. I called beforehand to ask how much it is. On the phone I have been told that it would cost $110 and there is a $15 off coupon that I can obtain when I get there, meaning that it would come to $95. Then I went there left my phone. 3 hours later I went back to get my phone, the guy told me the total is $120 with the coupon applied. I told them that I have been told differently over the phone. Then this guy goes, the guy whom I speak to was a new hire and he probably didn't know how much was it. Then he said, and I quote; you can either pay $120 or I will be more than happy to put your cracked screen back. read more

I took a rechargeable battery for my drill by there. They did not have a replacement but offered to repair it in 3-5 days. I paid up front and kept my receipt. After 5 days and no call, I called and they said I was next in line. After 7 days I called and got the same story. I then announced I would wait 1 more week and I was coming in. After 9 days, I went by and they could not even find the battery. THEY LOST THE BATTERY! JEEZ! I was VERY disatisfied and will NEVER return to this or any other Batteries Plus store. read more

I went in on a Saturday afternoon to get a new battery for my car key remote, which was not in stock at Target or Best Buy. Although it was slightly busy, there were no less than 4 friendly guys ready to help me. Before I could blink they had replaced my battery. Last night I spoke with Mike at Batteries plus and explained I had a difficult situation to deal with when removing my battery, unfortunately if I remove it without the system staying on a charge, it would cost me excessively to have my relays reset at BMW. Mike said he would help me today. I went in first thing and they were more than happy to assist. Not only did they honor my Batteries warranty, but they took the time to fabricate some clips so that my system could stay juiced. Batteries plus are awesome both the manager( never got his name) and Mike were truly gentlemen and offered me service that I exceeded my highest expectations. read more

Disillusioned with Batteries Plus. They promote you can take your used batteries and bulbs to them for recycling. I only now learned of the 'footnote' to their community service. Do not bring your iPad to be repaired here. I had a single crack in my iPad, though it was fully functional. After a few weeks of looking at the crack I decided to get the screen replaced at my local Batteries Plus, which advertises its screen-repair services. Big mistake. My returned iPad never worked properly again, even after 3 trips back to Batteries Plus. They didn't know what they were doing, never gave a coherant explanation for ruining my iPad- they blamed it on the crack, ignoring the fact that it was in perfect working order for weeks with a crack prior to me going to them for the screen replacement. They refunded the repair cost, naturally, but I had to buy myself a new iPad. I feel certain that if I had taken it to a more experienced and skilled repair company, I would have been spared that expense. I won't make the mistake of going there again! read more

Gave them my iPhone 6 to replace a cracked front glass. They gave it back an hour later and the proximity sensor was broken. The proximity sensor is what makes your screen go blank when you hold it up to your ear so you don't accidentally hit a bunch of buttons during a call. They refused to cover the cost of fixing it, and wouldn't even refund me the money I paid. The technician basically said that the proximity sensors in this model of iPhone are buggy so it's not their fault. They should have owed up to the damage they did and at least refunded the money I paid, since that should cover the cost of fixing the damaged proximity sensor. read more

WOMEN DO NOT GO HERE WITHOUT KNOWLEDGE OF CARS OR A MALE TO TALK TO THE WORKERS. Mother went Sunday morning, December 10th, 2017, for a new battery. Didn't noticed anything wrong with the current one, just preventative maintenance. They change her battery, only for the car to turn on, run for a moment and then turn off. Mother calls me, let's me know what's going on, obviously sounds like they put the wrong size battery in. I instruct her to ask for them to place the old battery back in and they tell her that's not going to work. They ignore her for 20 minutes. I had to get my boyfriend to talk to them to take us seriously about replacing the old battery and still they give attitude claiming the old battery did not work. Eventually, they agree to put the old battery back in and refund my mother. Car started up and stayed on with no problem and my mother left immediately, but not before naively giving the worker who was "helping" her a $20 tip. Appalling that the sexist workers of this establishment would try to take advantage of a women just trying to get a battery replaced because they assume she has no idea about cars. I got a Nebo flashlight awhile back as a gift and the thing is so awesome I went back in February to buy a second. They aren't cheap, like $80+ for the one I got so I was really bummed when it quit working last week. I called and talked to someone about the warranty and he told me without the receipt they can't warranty the darn thing because they have to send it back to the manufacturer and they won't accept it without the receipt. I told him thanks and was about to hang up because seriously, I don't know anyone who keeps a receipt for 6 months and I sure don't. Thankfully he caught me before I hung up and told me "Bring it on in. We're pretty good at fixing stuff." Well since I was literally around the corner I stopped in and sure enough they fixed it by replacing the switch and wouldn't even accept any money for the repair! I run a service related company and we pride ourselves on service. The guys at Batteries Plus Bulbs can come to work for me ANYTIME!!!!! read more

I took my iPhone into this store and had my cracked screen replaced purchased the $30 screen protector once the job was completed. I paid the bill and went on my way. `The phone still did not work. I took it back they had it for 2 days and I went to pick it up again and still had an issue I.E... dialing numbers automatically, loading up apps... I gave them a printout of the details of the issue and they didn't even look at it. They replaced the screen again and fixed the issue. Of course they didn't credit me back on the $30.00 screen protector. All in all 5 days to get my phone working again. I went back today to purchase another screen protector and they gave me the wrong one. So i sent one of my employees to get the correct one and of course they didn't have it. Since she did not have my card on her they wouldn't return the other one. SHE DID HAVE THE RECEIPT!!! So I am out a total of 5 trips and still not fixed. ANYBODY who uses this store other than pure necessity is going to regret it. I am trying to reach corporate offices and of course no numbers exist. Worst customer service experience of my entire life. I usually love going to Batteries Plus because they are a reliable company but after my experience at the Burnet Rd. location I will never go to a Batteries Plus again. I was in Austin visiting from San Antonio and went to get my cracked phone screen fixed by John Dalton or "JD" . Besides being unprofessional in the manner that he got my information; when I returned an hour later to pick up my phone he had a half smoked cigarette and a mixed drink in a clear up in his hand. It was either this or him smoking inside the store that made the entire room smell like cigarette smoke. When I got my phone back, I noticed that the screen clarity was poor and the colors in my phone looked more faded than usual but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and not mention it. Within 24 hours the entire screen stopped functioning; not allowing my work, daughter or boyfriend to contact me when they needed to. (a problem that had never occurred until after I let "JD" work on my phone) The next day when I called to speak to the manager he was completely unwilling to listen to my entire story, he interrupted me over and over again, he was unwilling to give me my money back because he believed I received quality service and I deserved to pay $80 plus tax to have my phone more broken and inoperable than before I had it serviced by them. His only offer to make up for the poor customer service, broken phone screen, and the fact that I would be driving 65 miles to get the phone repaired was for him to work on my phone (again, which it worked so well the first time) and a "free 6-month warranty" on the phone. Most absolute shit offer and customer service experience ever. This location does not even deserve 1 star. read more
