So needed a weird sized battery for a house alarm remote. Could have ordered it from Amazon but chose to try and buy local. I don't know when Batteries + moved from the Gas Station but it was a much nicer building and lay out. Both employees were waiting on other guest so I looked and was able to find the battery I needed. Kid that rang me up had zero turn as my Mom would have said. He looked like he was just bored with life. I hope his day picked up. Sad to be so young and appear so unhappy. He put my father' s land line into the register so we get "points" or whatever at check out. This gentleman suddenly decides, (I don't know if something came on the screen or he just made It up because he is good guy )that this was " Warranty " work and free of charge . This is a Honest Man. I would never have had any idea to go to a battery store with an old watch battery and try to argue it's under warranty? For what? For how long? The helpful employee was able to quickly determine the correct battery. There were none in stock but they had already been ordered. Stopped in here over my lunch break on a weekday and this place was fairly busy. This place is connected to a gas station, which was strange, and there was no area to sit and wait, so you're either left wandering around the tiny store if you're getting a service with a wait, or having to leave and come back. I made an appointment online beforehand to get my iPhone battery replaced, and waited a couple minutes before being helped. I was told the replacement would take 20 minutes, but it actually took a little over 30 minutes. The associate that helped me did a full check of my phone beforehand and requested my passcode for the phone, which I didn't really want to say out loud. I wish they would have had this option available to enter into the system online or tell you beforehand to disable the passcode for the replacement if you don't want to have to provide that information. Overall, I got what I came for, and the associates were friendly but I was extremely irritated by the time quote issue -- I didn't really care how long it takes, but I'd much rather they give a blanket time of an hour, and then know 100% when I return it'll be done, than come back and wait in a store that has no waiting area. read more

After a manager of another store referred me to the Carmel store, master tech extraordinaire Tony determined the screen was damaged as well as the battery. I can only assume the screen was damaged by the previous tech at the Lafayette Rd store. Any who Bill and Tony at the Westfield Rd store were awesome and my son is now playing "Helix Jump" with no issues! UNFORTUNATELY I have one big problem problem to report:WAREHOUSE MIKE yelled at me, was extremely rude, and all but accused me of trying to steal from the company. Sad individual. It sounded very easy on the internet. Pay for the battery and pick it up/have it installed at the store. I got a message that my battery was ready and headed to the store. The clerk in the store wasn't sure it could be installed, since I didn't have an appointment. Then she told me that this particular battery was a "difficult installation", that the battery had to be "registered, for hundreds of dollars" and I needed to take it to a Chrysler dealer. (It's a Mini, so why not a Mini dealer?) She then refunded my purchase price. My son took out the old battery (not so difficult), took it to auto zone, came back with a new battery and installed it. Do NOT go there!! Took watch in 29 November for a battery and something happened to the stem/crown during the replacement. Was told they would get the watch to a nearby jeweller to fix at their cost on 12/1 since it was a weekend. Made several calls to Batteries Plus for status over 11 days with vague answers. Just found out a few minutes ago my watch only made it to a different jeweller than what I was told on the 10th!!! No follow-up as promised, over 1 week delay on getting it to where it needed to be for the repair. Hope to have it back on my wrist 12/13 or 12/15 at latest. Sr. phone repair tech didn't follow company processes and now we must buy a new phone, regional manager didn't do anything to take responsibility While taking our son's iPhone in for a battery replacement, the sr. phone tech did too many failed password attempts and locked out the phone. Sadly, the technician never asked us for the password until after he had locked the device out; all while we were standing in front of him. Because of this, he did not complete the policy of testing devices before doing repairs. When we got the device back, it said we had to wait another 45 minutes before it would become available for unlock attempts. When the timer ran out the phone said we needed to connect this to iTunes. While never having issues before, the phone would no longer connect to iTunes, but would charge. After the store looked at the device, and tested replacing the port, they decided the phone is unrecoverable. We brought in a working phone, that only needed a new battery; we used it earlier that morning. The regional manager said it was our fault his sr. tech locked out the device and did not ask us for the password until after it was locked out. What sr. tech handles this many devices and doesn't ask for the unlock password first? We were offered a refund on the battery and told, by the Regional Manager, it is my fault his sr. technician locked out our phone and now we must buy a brand-new phone after starting with one that did work. I shopped on-line for a new battery for my car and found Batteries Plus Bulbs had the best price for a similar battery to what was offered at other auto parts stores. They also offered a discount for purchasing on line and an additional rebate on the battery I chose. When I went to the store to get my battery installed, the young lady working was more than helpful. Not only did she install the battery but she also filled out the rebate form with everything but my address making it as simple as possible. I couldn't have asked for better service. Batteries Plus seems to be OK if you want what they have in stock. I've been there twice for batteries for items older than one year, and it can be frustrating. Recently went in for a cell phone battery. I admit it wasn't a new Smartphone, but it was a reputable brand that is still in business. They had to order the battery, well OK. But the delivery date came and went, and I had to call on the status. I had to call or appear at the store two more times, each time the delivery date got moved out. Jay certainly was friendly and would get on the phone to ?, but was not pro-active in any way. Finally, the day it was supposed to be delivered from the warehouse, it wasn't . Mike did call me to apologize and offer to drive to the warehouse to get it, which I took him up on. It took close to 2weeks to get a battery. Since many stores can sell batteries, the difference is in the service, and Batteries Plus can stand some improvement, at least at this location. read more
