I went to this store on Rockville pike to have my watch battery replaced and they refused saying they don't have tools to do this. They were ve ry very rude and told them they replaced the battery of this watch 2 years ago. They said they aren't being paid to do this job. I'm a senior and there was another senior at my back who told them they are very discourteous.My son told me to find the name of the owner and report them They were two Asian guys and now I see they accreted on Internet that they change watch batteries. read more

came in for a battery charger for my digital camera, not at all an expensive item, but they made me feel like i was buying the most expensive item they sold. i was greeted the second i walked in the door, i asked if the yhad what i needed, he immediately went and got it for me. he took it out of the packaging, showed me how it worked, drew a lil arow on it to show where to hook up the battery, and rung me up and thanked me for my business, even made pleasant small talk. this store has the best customer service i have experienced in such a long time. read more

Oh my gosh! What a great place! Here's what I did; I went to Verizon on the Pike to get a new battery for my Verizon phone. They didn't have one, of course. They'd rather sell me a new phone. (One of the clerks told me about Batteries Plus, when I looked dismayed.) I stopped at Radio Shack, before going up the Pike. (They kept me waiting 15 minutes there, and finally suggested Batteries Plus.) It's a little hard to get to -- after Best Buy as you head north. They had the battery and took the old one for recycling. When i went back with a 10-year-old phone the next day, they replaced the battery in that one too. As someone who dislikes car maintenance and drags her feet about it, I had the best experience and service here. Needed to change my battery (not because my car was dying, but because I realized it was prob 5 years running and I don't want to be unpleasantly surprised in the middle of winter if it konked out!). My SIL told me about this place. I called around 5:45 asking how long it would take, they said about 15 mins if I can get in before 7PM. I came in around 6:30 last night, and between talking to the associate and the actual battery change, I was in and out in probably 7 minutes. SO impressed! Very friendly staff, and the actual battery change took less time than ringing me up at the register. Good prices and the installation was free. Highly recommend! read more

Excellent service on an iPhone battery repair job. Took less than 10 minutes to disassemble the phone, test a new battery without permanently installing, and determine it wasn't actually the problem. The fact that they were willing to test it before committing me to buying the new battery was great. Thanks guys! read more

Don't know how to rate...I've been dealing here for many years and always was helped by an Asian fellow who was not only very knowledgable but nice and helpful, too. Last week (week of August 13, 2016) when I went the Asian guy was not there, and the young man waiting on me was polite, but I don't think he knew much about the specialty bulb I was trying to buy. Others recent reviews complain about terrible service. I'm worried. Will i see the Asian fellow there again?? The other clerks don't seem to have qualifications for the job, like background in electronics, etc. read more

This morning I discovered that two of my watches needed batteries. Normally, I have them replaced at a watch shop in Kensington. But because it was late when I got to the point on my to-do list where I was ready to take care of this & I knew my watch shop would be closed, I decided to stop at Batteries Plus on Rockville Pike as I had heard that they replaced watch batteries. This was my first trip to this business & it will definitely be my last. When I walked in, an employee by the name of Shawn asked me what he could do for me & I replied that I had two watches that needed batteries. He quoted me a price that seemed reasonable so I handed over the first watch. It became clear almost immediately that he was struggling to open the back of my watch so I asked him to please not break it & he stopped what he had been doing & handed the watch back to me. I could see that he had badly scratched the back of the watch case w/the tool he had been using & pointed this out. No apology at all. What he said was: "I knew you were going to be a problem as soon as you came in. Take your watch to a jeweler & never come back here." I then asked for a telephone # for the corporate office for this business, took it & left. This is a guy who most definitely has some issues & knows nothing about the importance of being pleasant to customers even(or really especially) when a problem arises & how that relates to his job security (not to mention the survival of a business). Dissatisfied customers not only won't return (of their own volition--they don't need "prompting") but these days when a customer has been provoked by a jerk like Shawn, they will do exactly what I am now doing & that is to post their bad experience on the Internet so that other potential customers can avoid doing business w/a retailer who employs someone like Shawn. Employees who have no people skills should not be working in retail. read more

They close at 8:00 PM during week days. I arrived at the store 7:40PM. The doors were closed, but there was somebody at the cashiers doing some work. I tried to ask him to open the store, but he pretended he didn't see me. I knocked on the glass door, called them, but they didn't answered the phone. After 10 minutes waiting, the individual that was at the cashier came to the front door to go out with his backpack - I guessed he was leaving. He was very rude to tell me that they were closed. I explained that drove 20 minutes to get there and arrived there at 7:40 PM. By that time it was 7:50PM. My question was why they were closed since the website and signs there displayed that they work weekdays until 8:00 PM. He told me that his manager authorized him to close the store earlier that day and he would not be able to do anything to help my. While we were exchanging words, one more customer came to buy a battery, and he cashier was in a difficult spot. We both started to argue with him when finally he said he would sell me the battery if I pay it with credit card. What a hassle! read more

Can I give them zero stars...? I've now officially had the worst customer service experience of my life, thanks to the manager of this store. I bought a new motorcycle battery at this store, and after six weeks my bike stopped starting. After lengthy troubleshooting, I found that the battery was only holding 10.5 volts. A clear sign of a bad cell (I worked with this type of flooded lead-acid battery extensively in the Navy, so know all about how they work and how to care for them...). No problem, since there's a six month warranty on the battery, right? Wrong!!! The manager was not in on a Sunday, so the (very polite and helpful) clerk called him up. I was put on the phone, at which point the manager immediately accused me of "customer abuse" and told me that since I had broken the battery, he would not honor the warranty. He clearly doesn't know how his own products work, and wouldn't listen to me at all. After threatening him with BBB and Yelp reviews, he agreed to give me 50% off. Not having much choice, I accepted. Since then, I've written Batteries Plus to no avail. They just refer me back to the store and the rude, unknowledgable manager. Kudos to the clerks for being extremely polite and trying their best to help me, but that's not enough when a store sells a defective product with a warranty, then doesn't stand behind it and is rude to the customers.
