This is my 3rd time i think my truck has been in for work at BBD. I dont trust many shops but i do trust BBD with my truck. I recently replaced my turbo actuator because it failed. I started to have other problems and i was thinking it was a failing turbo. After talking with the guys at BBD we were leaning towards the turbo going bad. After the diag they found my actuator wasnt calibrated correctly and corrected the issue. BBD could of easily told me i had to replace my turbo and i would of done it. I'm writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my experience at Battle Born Diesel! I had my truck towed in for service on December 4th. After not receiving an update, I called the shop a couple of days later and spoke with Curtis for 15 minutes before he informed me that my truck had been stolen. He also stated that he had not yet contacted the police but "was about to." To make matters worse, he mentioned that the shop had no surveillance cameras, which made it even easier for the theft to occur. This was incredibly distressing as I had to initiate the contact to receive this information; I was not proactively notified by the shop that my truck had been stolen. The staff at Battle Born Diesel were disorganized and offered little in the way of support. They did not take responsibility for the lapse in security that led to this incident. Instead, I was left to deal with the police report, insurance company, and the considerable inconvenience of not having a vehicle. Fortunately, my truck was recovered, and the person responsible was arrested. When I went to court, I was stunned to learn that THE THIEF WAS THE FRONT DESK EMPLOYEE WHO HAD ORIGINALLY CHECKED ME IN!! This explains why they were so unhelpful after finding out my truck was stolen! I strongly advise against bringing your vehicle here. Corey and Doug are some best mechanics for diesel trucks I've ever seen. I have a Ford 7.3 powerstroke and so glad they fixed it! At first, I went to another shop and got the runaround and they wanted to fix alot of things that didnt need to be fixed. Then I called Battleborn, and they fixed what was needed and was very professional in the repairs, customer service, and all around good experience, which was amazing because It was fair prices for excellent quality services. I did have to bring it back for a minor repair which was my fault because I ran over a curb and they fixed it no charge! Feels good to be a valued customer! Traveling from CA to Utah with our 5th wheel, children and dogs on a 117 degree day, our truck starting popping up a bunch of error codes after Barstow. Called several Ford dealerships in Vegas with no available same day appts. Started looking for Diesel mechanics and Battle Born came up. Called Corey, told him what was going on, he told us to stop by and he would run the codes and do a forced regen for us if needed. We arrived and he immediately came out to help. My truck was broke down on the side of the road almost 100 miles out side of Las Vegas and this shop went above and beyond and lined me up with a great tow company and then was quick to diagnose the issue. This will be a long review, but worth it. While my wife and I were traveling back home across the country, we had major truck problems outside of Las Vegas. We managed to limp the truck to town on a Wednesday night, but were in a bad need of a diesel specialist. Early Thursday morning I was trying to reach out to anyone willing to look at my truck. We managed to find Battle Born Diesel and saw that they had great reviews (I now know why). We messaged them on Facebook and Corey got back to us very quickly saying that they would call us as soon as they got to the shop. This was at least 2 or 2.5 hours before they opened. Curtis called before they even opened the shop and got all of the details about my truck issues. Corey and Curtis took my truck in immediately and were so willing to help us get back on the road as soon as possible. I had my turbo replaced with a fleece cheetah 63mm, a S&S Cp4 to Cp3 conversion, and also had an edge insight cts3 monitor installed to help keep an eye on everything under the hood. Through such a stressful situation with basically being "stranded", Corey and Curtis kept me updated throughout the entire process. I cannot say enough how great the crew at Battle Born Diesel is and how they go above and beyond to ensure an ultimate customer service experience. My truck is back now and running better than it ever has. We are forever grateful for what these guys did for us.
