Came in about a year ago to have the engine of a 2010 ford f150 lariat fixed due to a lot of misfire, rattling, And oil leaks. The moment you get to the shop you can tell it's really professional and clean which speaks out a lot when it comes to mechanic work. These technicians are very well qualified in their craft and know best for your vehicle. To begin my truck was having a lot of issues that required the timing chain, camshaft, lifters to be replaced. Of course there were some other things that needed replacing but those are the main issues to this engine failing. Once they replaced everything he took me to the back and showed me what was failing, he showed me the OEM parts to engine he installed into the truck and gave a run down on why the engine was failing before hand. It's been a year now and I have not had a single issue with the truck nor leaks. It has been driving better than ever. If you want quality built DOC auto repair is the place where technicians are going to handle your vehicles problem and not come back until it wears down again. And just remember you pay for what you get and before I was at doc auto I was going the cheap route which made things worse and costed me more. I know times are difficult but if you need that vehicle fixed and don't mind the price for your vehicle to run like new then keep in mind you're paying for quality and that's what doc auto repair offers. I live on the south side of Las Vegas so for me to go to an auto repair so far shows what their craft means to me. Went to take my truck for an inspection to verify the exact issue on it, I was recommended to go by one of my friends. When I arrived it was good and I was told the process of the inspection, however I returned the next day and my father spoke with the office/mechanic assistant because he wanted to know exactly the issue with the truck to see if we should continue the process. We were told that they needed to do an even more extensive work and that they would charge $120 per hour, we thought that was a bit too much since the dealerships themselves only charge roughly $200 to do the whole diagnostic on a vehicle and they won't just do 2 hours and than hourly charge. To make matters worst, when my father asked if we can get some type of guarantee on the work or what they can recommend to us on the full extent because since it was going to be pricey we needed a certain guarantee, and the assistant was very unprofessional and responded to my father with telling him that this place has been opened for 25 years, that he had a certain amount of years working there and that they had plenty of business there. All in all that was very unprofessional and disrespectful of this business and employee. Left to the dealership and was attended with much more professionalism on the matter and we got a solution for my truck that same day. Definitely will not ever be going to this location ever again & wouldn't recommend it to anyone. read more

Damian, In response to your last comments; The "service writer" never mentioned it "could be" the alternator, that's a lie. As stated previously, He recommended replacing it! NOT diagnosing it, so quit the hogwash. Amazon or Autozone alternators are not the issue here. The issue is that your "Service Manager" according to the arrogant Dominick, NOT ONE TIME mentioned any diagnostics or troubleshooting, in fact, I did. Which is why we are discussing this now. Professionals should not just don't go willy nilly with guesswork, which is why I attempted to go to a professional service. Sadly found differently with Dominick, quite unprofessional. Instead of taking ownership and dealing with the issue, you are making half-baked excuses. If you don't have 5 minutes for a customer to speak with a mechanic to make sure everything is understood, then you are doing a dis-service to the customer. I would also say that most customers do not ask to talk to the tech before work commences. So what's the real problem? You don't really have a electrician? Really? FIVE WHOLE MINUTES? It took you that long to write the miss-placed comments in response to my complaint. Lastly, who said it was at 3 other shops? It wasn't me! Also, I was never told an estimate cost at all! Dominick never said anything about 2 hours or $140 period. ONLY after I initiated the desire for electrical diagnostics, he only stated "that could take a long time". It could, especially if don't have a qualified electrian who has the right diagnostic equipment, such as a multi-meter, and the knowledge to use it. Yes, I mentioned a guy on YouTube that I watched go thru diagnosing a charging problem, with a MULTI-METER, NOT GUESSWORK who found a wire shorted out. Based on my experience with your shop, Dominick and now you, I really wish this knowledgable electrician on YouTube worked in this area, I would "hands down" much rather have him working on my car. Damian and his staff know their stuff! I went into their shop thinking I needed a new fuel pump, so that is what they did, replaced the fuel pump. I know better than to tell a mechanic what "I WANT" because that is what they will do! Right or wrong! Well, I guessed wrong and went back and they fixed my problem. Listen to the mechanic and forger what you think. That's what you are paying for. This place is wonderful I needed my engine mount replaced on my bmw and I was quoted a very reasonable price compared to what most places were trying to charge. I was able to bring in my car the very next day and they had my car done in less than eight hours. I was up and running back on the road in no time. The customer service was excellent. They even showed me the part they replaced and shown me how it was worn out and explained how you can wear it out and how that part is effected. I will be bringing my bmw here from now on with any of my mechanical needs! read more

I've been going to DOC Auto since I've moved to Vegas, and so far, I haven't had any problems. They were recommended to me by a friend, and I've been a loyal customer ever since. My car is definitely on the older end, so it needs maintenance and replacement of parts due to wear and tear. I like supporting small business when I can, so I'm very happy with DOC Auto. Also, what's great about DOC auto is that they show you your old parts and explain why they needed to be fixed when you pick up your car. The things that need to be fixed is usually done that day or within the next, so that's a plus! If it's more extensive, they'll usually tell you in advance if it'll take longer. I don't live close to DOC Auto, and it can be a 30 min drive sometimes during traffic. To me, it's worth it because I know I can count on getting the work done well and they're always incredibly helpful. For someone who hates driving, it says a lot! read more

First of all for a garage this place is immaculate, I have been in restaurants less clean than this. I took my car in for its 45K mile maintenance because too be truthful dealerships are thieves and rip-off artist, at my 43K maintenance the dealership said i needed new wiper blades it would be $65 on top of everything else i declined and the tab ws still over $280 for basically an oil change. They also did my Audi the same way took it their for something simple and my Audi never drove the same. About 3 weeks ago I took my Lexus into Damien with DOC Auto to have my timing belt and water pump changed. Because this was my first time taking my car to DOC Auto, I wanted to wait before writing this review to make sure there were no unexpected problems, and so far so good. I decided to switch from my other mechanic because, although they did good work, they kept raising their rates and over charging for parts and very simple fixes. Two things I really appreciated about DOC auto is that they offered me a very reasonable rate and let me buy my own, genuine OEM parts so that I new I was using the best parts and didn't have to pay extra for them. Had great service today with the team at DOC's. I had a dead battery around the corner from the shop and they offered to give me a jump and a replacement battery at a great price. I drove over to the auto shop and was greeted by many different staff members. Being a woman I sometimes feel like they take advantage of me but I didn't feel that way at all. The place was clean and very organized. I was in and out in less than 30 mins. I appreciate great service and it shows they truly take pride in taking care of their customers. My car was given back to me with leaks as the promised work was not complete. When I got home I noticed that a piece of the vehicle was missing and had to go back to the shop to retrieve but most shockingly, when I picked up the car I understand that it's their practice to leave the keys in the unlocked vehicle which was parked at the fence. The keys were on the floorboard in plain sight. The news is reporting that car theft in Las Vegas is up by 40% in 2023. The fence was not in line with the office so if my car were to come up missing how would they respond? I love my car and take pride but it's completely obvious that Doc's Automotive has no respect for my property. The man at the desk has a level of arrogance that is unacceptable. They have lost me as a customer and several potential as my co-workers are also looking for a place that they can trust. There is no possible way for Doc's Automotive to put a positive spin on this in their favor. I will NEVER go back. Do better Doc's Automotive. My reply to Damian's post: What do you mean no cost to me??? You were going to charge me $198 to fix the oil leak for a reseal of the Oil Pan. I discussed the full price when I dropped the car off. I actually have your quote that was written on my paperwork. I expected to get my car back with no leak, took a whole day off of work because you said it would be done in one day. I actually took it to another mechanic who shook his head and could not believe that a shop would let me leave with a leak of this size. Damien, you also told me that I should not drive my car like this but somehow now, all is ok. Also, yes, it is an older car but that has nothing to do with the problem at hand. Also, still waiting for that quote for the Power Steering Gear Box from over a month ago. I made a second request for that quote but I suppose you are just too busy. I can't say enough good stuff about this shop. Family owned business. They thoroughly inspected my vehicle to give a 2nd opinion from another shop with extremely high prices. Replaced from struts, control arms and sway bars. Prices for parts were well below the other shop.. control arms roughly 50% cheaper.. and labor around 2/3 the price. I needed to get the CV boot replaced on my Toyota Avalon and after the cheapie mechanic I had lined up flaked out on me three times I asked my friends for recommendations. DOC Auto Repair at 4380 E Lake Mead in Las Vegas came highly recommended, so even though it meant a long drive across town I decided to give them a try. As promised, Argentine owner Damian was waiting for me bright and early with the needed parts on hand. His shop is immaculate and well-run, and all his guys are professional and car-savvy in their smart blue uniforms -- I was impressed! The new parts were quickly installed and a test drive proved they were good. Damian also had my rear brakes checked at no charge and they turned out to be fine -- he didn't try to sell me on an unneeded brake job. The total price including tax and new parts and labor came to $149.99, which was very reasonable for replacing the entire CV boots and axle assembly. I'm really glad I found DOC Auto Repair and will be sure to go there for all my future repairs -- the long drive is definitely worth it! Plus I'll recommend them to all my car-challenged friends. Took my 1997 Tacoma to DOC Auto to have the radiator, timing belt, water pump and clutch replaced on my truck. They gave me a good deal on the labor. Mechanics where very knowledgeable on replaced parts. They took the time to show me how my old parts failed and detailed pictures on how they installed the new parts.
