I wondered why I didn't get notified of my October outside service yet. I called Batzner and was told I have an appt Oct 10. I did not make that appt. and I know nothing about this appt., and I will not be home that day. When I asked the operator why I was not notified, she told me they would have notified me on October 9th. What! They make the appt to their liking, they don't tell me about it, but they will call me the day before to tell me I have an appt. I don't think so. I MAKE MY APPOINTMENTS ON DAYS AND TIMES CONVENIENT TO ME. I told the phone operator that if this happens again, I am dropping this service. I also requested a call back. They still have not gotten it together since this company was sold..how many times? The phone operators know about as much as I do about Batzner...which is not much. I have no idea what they are doing and why. How difficult can it be to send out available October dates in September. They have my phone number and my email address....what's the problem? read more

If I could rate this **zero** stars, I would...I've gotten the absolute runaround!! Initially they stated in setting up an appointment over the phone (and matched in my confirmation email) that the service appointment would be for the time frame of 8:00-8:30 this past Saturday. No one showed. I called customer service at 9:20 and they were looking into it and were **supposed** to call me....... NO CALL BACK! Still no tech arrival either!! I called again and sat on hold at 10:20, so then I decided to try online chat and was THEN told the time frame is actually 8-12 noon for the appointment, not 8-8:30, and that they "don't do time frames like that"--even though they *said* it, *emailed* it, and *all* past appointments were scheduled that way, with someone showing on time each time! I continued to wait patiently, as noon rolled around, closing that newly stated time window. No tech. No call. ONLY EMPTY PROMISES. At 12:30 PM I reached out AGAIN and then they asked me to reschedule, calling it a "missed appt by the tech" without ANY explanation of what happened and no looking into it or trying to contact them. AND on top of it all there aren't further Saturdays available until (**maybe**) July. THEN a manager was to call me to set something up, as nothing was available and it is my only day off. Did anyone call?!?! OF COURSE NOT. Today I contacted them to cancel my service (I AM PAYING MONTHLY FOR NOTHING) and they said it will be canceled. They asked if I needed anything else and I said that as long as it is canceled, that I am all set. Apparently that was good enough for them, as they closed the chat window and did nothing further to try to rectify this mess that they created. If time and money are of any value to you, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere for "service". read more

we contracted with Batzner in July to get rid of rodents getting into our basement. The initial inspector that came into our home used fear tactics. By the time he left, I wanted to level our home. He told me that our insulation needed to be removed, the area needed to be sanitized, and new insulation needed to be added after the clean up. I asked for a quote, and just got it last week (2 months later) after asking them for the quote at least 4 times. They added bait stations on top of foundation blocks in basement and they kept being knocked down by chipmunks coming into the basement from outside. I called and someone came out to rebait the box, but a day later, the box would be knocked down again. I called again, they came back out, but never closed up the huge holes they were coming in through (these holes were very visible with a mirror looking under the siding, but Batzner did not see them). After calling and calling and calling, they stopped returning my calls. I paid an initial fee for this service and a monthly fee for them to get rid of the rodents. They were taking my money, but not solving my problem. I found a local company to help me and they found the huge holes that Batzner missed. I called Batzner to cancel, and the woman said to me "you already paid all this money, and we guarantee our service"...Not if you don't return my calls and send someone out to help me! shame on me for not looking at the negative reviews before signing up and paying for their "service". read more

We had them for several years. They charged us a fortune for some bed bugs just to check them. A year later one of my tenants called me and told me that Batzner had not been in building in months. They drove in, parked outside of her window, sat in lot for 20 minutes then drove off. WE did survey of our tenants and we found that they had not been in the building or over a year. confronted the mgrs. and they told me to go stuff it. they are supposed to check all building and go into 3 apts. read more

Today I stopped by at my parent's house for concern of a pest problem they had called batzner Pest Management back on September 18th the company sprayed for bugs which in Elm Grove there are literally thousands of these bugs flying around called stink bugs. As I arrive today they have them inside their house my mother at age 75 was told that batzner guaranteed to get rid of these bugs they misled my parents on what they call a reduction for these bugs to invade their house they paid for a service of nearly $170 and not guaranteeing to resolve the problem I called the office today and they told me literally tough luck thanks for your 170 dollars. I advise anyone with elderly parents to get a service in writing before paying out $170 I feel they got scammed and the local news media should investigate read more

Today, Monday the 9th of Dec. I left a message with the gal answering the phone at Batzner that a manager had to call me, as I have a few concerns/questions. No one called me back. I signed up for the service about two and a half weeks ago. I have spoken with 2 different gals by phone and the friendly service person who came to my house (twice) . Each one gave me different information as to how long the process is and what happens to the dead mice. And I have more questions...such as how can a MOUSE carry an partially eaten apple from the kitchen counter to a cable opening in the living room. By the way, I was told by the technician that I have a mouse problem. The gal on the phone today said I had used up my 2 home visits that come with the initial enrollment fee of 250 dollars. I told her I may need to file a dispute with my credit card company. My dog continues to bark at the stove and at the dishwasher during the night . I didn't know what I was getting into. He asks if I have seen anything since the last spray and always assures me that if I see pests between sprays he can come out again, all I need to do is call. I've had Batzner service for years. It is a little pricey but they usually do a good job of placing bait stations and checking them. Some technicians are better than others. Today the person that came seemed to be in a hurry and I feel he didn't do a good job. He had never been to my house before and didn't go in the crawl space at all. He sprayed a large fake spider that I have on my back screen door. The spray dripped down the screen on the door. When he was leaving I said, "you sprayed a fake bug!" He said I could clean it up with paper towel but be sure to throw it out because it's poison. I thought he should have cleaned it up. And also known it wasn't a real bug. read more

I retained Batzner to assist with carpenter ants outside. Two days before my scheduled appointment, I discovered a ground wasp nest on my property and thought, "Great! I have Batzner coming in two days." On the date of my appointment, the tech arrived and spent less than 5 minutes assessing and treating the carpenter ant situation (for $275). I asked about the wasps. He said he could spray for them, but it looked like since the nest was exposed, it would take care of itself on its own. And if not, that I had 60 days to call and have the company come back and treat the nest. When I called to schedule that follow-up (the wasps are still quite active), they told me that no, in fact my initial $275 only covers the ants. No other pests. If I wanted to spray for the wasps, it would be another $275, or apply for their annual plan, which is an initial fee +$40 per month (or $480). So despite what the technician told me, my $275 for 5 minutes of work was apparently not enough to also spray for wasps. read more

We hired Batzner to take care of a mouse problem we had in our basement and an ant problem. We had their services for over a year, within that time we had no less mice, in fact we may have had more mice, and the ant problem, while it seemed to lessen after I had to call numerous times for retreatment, now 6 months after I cancelled the service the ants are back in the same place as before, which means they were never fully gone. After well over a year of monthly payments for this service we are still in the same boat as if we had never hired Batzner at all. And not to mention one time the tech was over to refill the mice bait and found a dead mouse next to the bait, so I assumed he would take care of the dead one, after he left I saw he did not remove the mouse. read more

We used Batzner for a while to handle ants and bugs. They did a good job so far. This year we had problems with mice in our walls/ceiling and ask them to take care of it since contractors were tearing the walls and ceiling out to get rid of what the mice left inside. A tech came out, checked the outside, found to holes where the mice might have gotten in and sealed them with steel mesh and laid some bait in the basement. We talked about the fact that the contractors are opening the walls in 1 week and came to the conclusion that in 1 week with no way to go to get food and water and hot weather the mouse should be dead and we can open up the walls and ceiling. He handed me a mousetrap to put in the ceiling (mind you, he did not) and left. A week later we opened up the walls and found around 5 living mice plus one dead one (trap). Calling them for help resulted in a lecture that the service is a 3 months process (I was not fully aware of that) and that they cannot help me now with my problem ("we don't come out and catch mice"). We caught them ourselves, killed them and found 2 more openings at the lower part of the wall facing outwards. That was presumably where the got in and out to stay alive. I called them, the tec came out again a week later, disputed the fact that mice came through those holes (no marks), disputed that we talked about mice probably being dead after 1 week of no food and water, laid more bait and left. Later we found a bag of mice bait lying around openly in our basement in a bag. We have 2 young kids (3yo and 8yo) which he new. I lost any confidence they can handle a task professionally and will contract a different service. read more

We used them for about a year and a half . The service was pretty good at first . It had been to long between services so i called and they gave me a date for service . Nobody showed up so i called and they told me i had the wrong date, i wrote it down while one the phone with them . I was having my main floor done so i told my wife to take the dog and kid away during the service. I'm 100 percent positive my date was correct. I canceled and they did offer me a gift card . I wasn't looking for anything free so i declined , i only wanted the service i was paying for . I will say it was nice to offer the gift card though. read more

I had a horrible experience with them. They charged me for a years service and did not resolve the problem. I had mice problems and all they would do was come out every three months or when i would call them to tell them i saw activity. The technician would look in the trap say yes there was activity and then put more bait. They did this for every visit. Twice the technician left his bag of bait on my basement floor and left. I have animals and they could have easily got into it if i hadn't found it first. When I called to terminate after my contract was up the girl Jill who answered the phone was very rude and didn't even care to hear why I was canceling. My experience was excellent from first contact with Customer Service Representative Jill, to the Technician Brian who arrived at our home at the scheduled time. I found each of these individuals to be very personable, professional and knowledgeable. Jill made the service contracting process very easy and was able to answer all of my questions. Brian did a thorough job of inspecting, evaluating and treating our home for mice and additional potential nuisance issues. I have used Batzner for close to 10 years. Originally I had the come out for an ant problem, but they also resolved an issue I was having with spiders. I've called them a couple of times for other things such as a wasp nest in my detached garage, a neighborhood issue with rats due to road construction, and carpenter ants from my neighbors tree. Each time, they had someone there within 1 or 2 business days to address the problem. I like the fact that the same tech does each treatment. read more

My sister referred me to Batzner for a bat exclusion. They charged her $250 to seal 3 holes and install 1 bat door. They came to my house and charged $110 for the inspection and also found 4 points of entry. Problem was, they wouldn't return my calls to quote me a price to get the bats out. A month later, I finally got a price...$475 per entry point. Yes, that's right....$1,900 total. Remember, my sister paid only $250 total. I decided to do it myself. I spent about $50 at menards for materials (I googled bat exclusion to learn how it's done). I do not recommend Batzner. read more
