I had an unfortunate robbery of the Beemer a few weeks ago, with serious applique warping, deep door panel scratches, and leather gouges from all the glass/fatass-lawless-piece-of-shit knee twisting. Bavarian was one of the repair shops recommended by my State Farm insurance, and I can't be more happy with their process and the end results. This is probably the most organized, professionally run auto repair place I've ever come across. Communication was consistent and informative at suitable intervals, and the car came back looking even better than before the incident. Given that the glass spall had compromised paint across three panels, this was not a simple job. But the paint blending was immaculate and I find myself forgetting it even happened. I also want to say that Anders, one of the owners I think, was very friendly and highly articulate when it came to explaining every aspect of the damage, the intricacies of how they deal with the insurance and rental car companies, and their entire repair process. He really took the time during the intake to provide detailed answers, so right from the start I had tremendous confidence that things were going to be done right--and they were. The worst customer experience I've we had. My car has been there since MID OCTOBER, so 4 months, for a relatively minor cosmetic repair. 6 weeks ago I was told it would be done in a week. I really wanted to be able to leave these guys a better review. Sadly, they just don't deserve it for these reasons: They do not follow up promptly. I would wait and wait and wait and never hear back from these guys. Finally I'd call them and the response would be "oh we have that part now". My side view mirror was broken, and they forgot to order... THE MIRROR! This was a two week delay, in a process that took nearly two months (to repair ONLY a side view mirror). They finally admitted to me that they are not technologically equipped to handle the repair of a 2 year old infiniti side view mirror. You've been warned, I was not. The final nail in the coffin, each of the three times I picked my car up it had two things in common. 1) was not completely fixed (guys, you need to INSPECT YOUR WORK) 2) was dirtier than how I left it. read more

I would NOT recommend this place to ANYONE after the experience I had. They had my car for a couples days short of 2 months. no reason, no apologies, but still looking for money out of my pocket after I have been extremely inconvenienced and paying for an additional rental car a month. No one called with updates with the exception of one person for maybe a week or 2 for the whole length of time my car was in the shop. if I didn't call them, I knew nothing about the progress of my car. A car accident is the last inconvenience that anyone would want. Having one during COVID makes it an even greater challenge as many parts are on back order. I must admit the first week started a bit rocky as the shop was overwhelmed and I wasn't getting the answers I had hoped. This all changed when I received a call back from Hans the owner. Hans went out of his way to make my experience exceptional. He was able to fix parts of my vehicle to make a t drivable and then return my car while I waited for the other back order parts to arrive. This was helpful because my 30 day rental had expired. Hand continued to stay in contact with me while I was waiting on parts and got me in and out in a timely manner when the parts arrived. We took our 2011 car to Bavarian for a minor repair (dent on the door) after finding them on a list of State Farm approved body shops and were told the repair would take 3-4 days to complete. After dropping my car off on a Monday it wasn't until day 5 that I received a call on that it was done.. but, before I could pick it up they scratched it and needed to keep in over the weekend. I was called at 5:45 on Monday and told it was ready to pick it up. Of course they close at 6:00pm, so I had to wait until Tuesday morning (now day 8) to get it. When I picked it up it was covered in splattered polishing compound and the floor mat and peddles were covered in body shop dust. After demanding that they clean it up I finally left. After a few stops on the way home I realized the door handle only worked about 50% of the time. I also found a spot that it looks like someone ground some paint off with a rotary tool (buffer perhaps?). So, I took it right back and had to get the shop manager, sales person and owner to look at it. They didn't say much other than they would fix it, and called me again at 5:40pm (closing at 6:00pm) that it was ready. So I have to pick it up tomorrow, which means that it took them 9 days to complete a 3-4 day repair.. IF it's actually fixed this time. read more

This body shop was excellent. They were one of the recommended shops from my insurance when i got into a little accident recently. The staff was VERY friendly, they kept me posted about the progress of my car frequently, had it ready on time & my car looked great! I would definitely recommend this business. Although I had to go back, for some follow up work, they were OUTSTANDING! One of the employees even loaned me HIS personal car to get to/from work when my car was back with them. See what had happened was... Somebody hit my beautiful car. And I had to choose from the state farm book. Based of the few reviews I found on yelp I decided to go with these guys and I'm glad I did. They matched my paint color perfectly. They also had my car done a week before the promise date even with the snow storm that shut Atlanta down. And if Nissan could of gotten them the parts they needed I would of gotten it even quicker. (And yes I do believe it was Nissan's fault.) Where they really earned any of my future return business was that they made numerous calls to update me of the status. (I was almost like stop calling...Just kidding... seriously it was a joke...) They stayed after hours on a friday so I could pick my car up after work. And that they made sure my rental was returned to the rental shop. Bavarian was a joy to be stuck with and if I ever have another incident where I need repair work I know who to turn to. read more

I have an old 99' Cadillac Escalade that the door wouldn't shut due to the door hinge bushings were worn out and the door handle was broken. I called around and asked several body shops if they could do the work and for many it was too much of a hassle for a non-insurance job. I found Bavarian Body Works on the Better Business Bureau Website (http://atlanta.bbb.org/) and they were certified from BBB. I must say that they did everything above and beyond my expectations as they fixed a few other items at no cost to me. They were $150 below an estimate I got from a competitor on Buford Highway. I visited the year before last but I wasn't a priority to the VP Anders Ryden because I chose to purchase the parts needed to fix my vehicle and asked for the business not to paint my vehicle since they were attempting to overcharge me. Anders confirmed they would do the work and charge labor as expected and instead, my car sat at this location for 6 weeks; 3 of which they had everything necessary to begin and complete the work, yet they did nothing but waste my time and lie about when the car would be ready. No apologies from Anders were given and he attempted to claim how they would've been doing me a favor by fixing my car for such a low price, as if I wouldn't have been paying them the same amount for labor as I'd be paying if that labor included paint and supplies. They were attempting to charge 1.4K to fix it without paint, 3K to fix and paint. It was the worst experience ever and I'll never return. I wasted money on rentals expecting my car to be fixed week after week but they didn't touch it. I took my car to Auto Tech & Body in Forest Park and got my front end damage fixed in 4 days, without paint for $700. read more

I never write reviews online...but I was compelled to with this place. THIS IS AN INSTANCE WHERE THE YELP REVIEW IS INACCURATE!! I (along with most people) can't be bothered to write Yelp reviews. I chose this place based on their Yelp reviews, and it was a HUGE MISTAKE. I'll keep it nice and short. They do decent work (nothing special honestly). I can't knock them on their work. Their prices are absurd. They take longer than they quote. MOST IMPORTANTLY, the ethics of a business can be summed up by the character of the owners. The minute I walked in, he made me feel like he didn't want my business. I don't even know why I bothered using Bavarian after being treated so rudely from the get go. There were billing issues with the insurance company afterwards. I'm a reasonable guy, but man, these people are pretty scummy. I also have a suspicion they jack up prices and or send updates to insurance companies to get more money out of them after their initial quote. This place needs to be checked out by the BBB. There are plenty of other body shops in the area that do a great job and actually act like they want your business. Go support them...these guys seem to be fine being dicks to customers. read more

I've taken my 2000 Nissan there for a fender bender repair and they matched the Pearl White paint perfectly. Had them repaint the front bumper to get rid of the scrapes and dings. It looked brand new! Even a valet made a comment on my 15 yr old beauty. So, of course, I took my brand new Evoque there when I got the first dreaded mark. They took it right in and buffed away the damage. And wouldn't even let me pay for it! Ask for Anders. He will explain every thing in as much detail as you want to know. They made sure that every single day I was up to date on what was happening with my vehicle, they answered any questions that I had no matter if it was a question they could or not answer, they figured out a way to find a solution, and my car looks outstandingly good! These guys really have mastered the art of collision repair! I had a slight bend in my rear bumper in corner that is VERY difficult to re-form with heat without causing the paint to bubble (I'm slightly familiar with collision repair techniques). Very unfriendly customer service! I went there referred by a car repair in the same area to fix something they did to my car. I explained the situation and the guy barely talked to me, took my car and when he returned he was nothing but arrogant and dismissive with me. Unfortunately, this was the first repair center recommended by my insurance company, whereby the primary damage on my car consisted of a damaged rear bumper which needed to be replaced. I arranged to bring my vehicle in for an estimate. When complete, Mr. X (I won't reveal his name here) provided me with the estimate but informed me that he wouldn't be able to work on it for at least another 1.5 weeks and that I should call back to see when I can get my car in to be repaired. In fact, I got the impression that he wasn't too eager about taking on the work. However, upon calling back 1.5 weeks later, I was then told that they were very apprehensive about repairing my vehicle because of rust identified at the bumper attaching area. Furthermore, they told me they weren't sure what they could do about it other than try their best to attach the bumper so that it permanently stays in place. Question: why wasn't I told this when i first came in to obtain the estimate? The only thing Mr. X told me was that he couldn't do anything about the rust. So, basically, their telling me that it is un-repairable! Really? Even if it cost me more money to have the body work done, I would have paid for it. My insurance company should drop these guys...and QUICK!! I've been with the same insurance company for 20 years and NEVER faced an issue like this one. It is very possible that the quality associated with their repairs is very high; however, it may be a good idea for them to be more customer-friendly and forthcoming if they want to stay in business. read more

The work took forever when I initially had it done and follow up was very poor then and non existent now that I have a problem. They tout a lifetime guarantee of their work but I don't believe it. I am asking for a follow-up repair now and not getting ANY satisfaction (or answer really). I might accept a "no" but not getting a response is unacceptable. Having an accident can be a real pain, but Bavarian Body Works made the whole process a breeze. I arrived at Bavarian Body Works and within minutes I had an estimate from VP Anders. BBW called Executive Leasing for me and in a short while they were there to pick me up. BBW said when they would be finished with my car and called me a day early to come pick it up. I was able to swap out the rental car for my car, which looked as if it had never been in an accident. My daughter had an accident (no injuries) in her Volkswagen beetle. Our insurance company issued a recommendation list; to which, I did due-diligence and researched each of the recommendations. I selected BBW from previous yelp reviews and I too must say and agree that their workmanship is excellent. However, their deliverable time is awful. Our estimated cost was $2500, with damages to the lower bumper. What should have taken no more than a week turned into 2.5 weeks.... Unacceptable...., but I heard they had some personnel issues. I would highly recommend these guys. I picked them from a list provided by USAA primarily because they allowed me to drop off my car on the day I contacted them (the 4 other places I called were too busy) and I am glad they did. I received regular updates on the status of the repairs, May car was ready in the estimated time frame, and the work they did was wonderful (no evidence of the accident). Then, to top it all off, they scheduled a pick up for my rental from the shop so I didn't have to worry about dropping it off at enterprise. Had a wonderful experience here! Staff was friendly, gave me an honest assessment of the time it would take to repair my bumper, checked out other minor Knicks and scrapes I pointed out and at the end if the day, not only addressed everything we discussed, identified an issue with a bolt beneath my windshield wiper that was loose and had been scraping the paint off the underside of the hood. I dropped my car off on Tuesday evening, having been given a probable ETA of Friday for completion. At 11:00 am in Friday, I got the call that my service was completed. I have to say that as frustrating as it is to have to deal with any collision or car issue, getting serviced here almost made it worth it. Typically a body shop is not a place that you want to go, but the times I had to go Bavarian Body works came through. I was in a small fender bender some years ago and they took good care of me smoothing out a bump. This place was also like a mortuary to the same car when I got rear ended between two F150s and walked away from a car that was totaled. I have Bavarian Body works in my Rolodex at home.
