This is perhaps one of the restaurants I like to save for celebrating milestones and sharing with friends with large eclectic appetites. Once you have made your selection of foods to be eaten, the table top grill is turned on. This is when it's your turn, with your guests, to cut, cook and serve, keeping up with each others appetite, room on the grill and making sure not to over or undercook your selected meat, shell fish, veggie or squid. There are several order options but if you love this style of eating, for a very reasonable price, you can order until you are no longer craving a morsel, and that's a tremendous amount of food:) By the way, they have just opened a full service bar, with amazing specialty drinks. Since this is a new spot and the first K-BBQ restaurant in Springfield, I'd give 4 stars. It has so much potential and lots of room for improvement. Coming from California and someone whose lived in Koreatown with lots of K-BBQ place 24/7, I'd say this place will boom with some improvements. PLACE 4/5 The location was kind of hidden but not too bad, there was ample parking. Good ambiance... the spot is still new. They got the korean bbq vibe inside. They got you K-Pop music playing. The tables have really nice space. THE STAFF 5/5 The staff were very friendly and nice. Our server was Becca and I loved and enjoyed our experience because of her. The other servers were also nice, they explained the whole shebang to everybody new to kbbq and no clue with what they are doing. I think I heard them explained it maybe 5 times to people surrounding our table so that was good for them. REPLACEMENT GRILL: Wish they have more grills so they can switch them out more often and not have to clean it yourself with a napkin and the plastic thongs.. it was really hard to scrape off the grease and other residue sticking on the grill. Also they don't have an exhaust fan on top of the grills, it gets really hot and sweaty if you are cooking more meat with more people. FOOD 4/5 The side dishes were nice. I think they can make it better by switching out some things. Replace it with some fish balls or squid balls and glass noodles or bean sprouts.. Kimchi was good! It was nice that it came with rice as a side.. wish they had rice paper or lettuce to wrap the meats. The meats are fresh and of good quality. PERFECT. I enjoyed every batch they served us. I think the price was a little too high considering they only have at least 5 different options per meat. 5 options for beef, 5 for pork, some chicken and some seafood. I think they can eliminate the steak calamari, our group weren't fans of it. Just stick with just shrimp and maybe regular squid cut vertically. In Los Angeles for the price of $25.99 there's 50 options of different kinds of meat, marinated, plain and also soup options. $15.99 tier would get you 20 options and some sides and soup available a la carte. I hope they also have this option, maybe in the future. The drinks were perfect!!! I love all the soju flavors they have. My husband and I have been here several times and I am just now getting around to posting my review! Let's just say this is our favorite spot for date night. It sucks because we live out of town and we have to drive back home after stuffing ourselves here but it is SO worth it. The service here is always good. I don't think I've ever had to complain because our servers have always been friendly, attentive, and quick. They're always walking around and making sure we get our next order of meat or need more drinks. I also love how they greet you in korean because I think it helps with the korean vibe. The only thing I wish they had were more side dishes. I know several reviews on here have mentioned the same thing. They have good, basic soup, kimchi, lettuce wraps, salads, and pancakes but if there were more variety then I think this place would be so much better. I can't complain about the quantity of food you get for $25 though. I've also read several reviews about how expensive it was but if you've ever bought a pack of of those thinly sliced beef from the store and tried cooking at home, the beef is easily $10 for two servings (if that), plus lettuce and rice cost. $25 is honestly cheap for how much meat you get to eat and a variety at that! I highly recommend this place and my husband and I will always be a fan of this restaurant! This is probably the 9th time I've eaten here. My wife and I like to bring people here to try korean bbq for their first time every time we come to Springfield. We want to show them how to do it to give them an option as another place to eat that they might not have ever tried before. It is always delicious and this time was no different. There was a minor issue this time. We showed up at 3-3:30 yesterday and had to wait 30-40 minutes for them to clean one table and get it ready. Instead of just prepping an already clean table. We were on a time limit but really wanted to eat there. A little frustrated but nothing out of the ordinary during these times. So we decided to make a reservation for 6 last night. My wife, myself, my mom, and my newborn. We were all there when we made the reservation then we left. When we showed up at 6 for our reservation, the new hostess was upset with us because the first hostess didn't put my newborn down on the reservation, but blamed us. She proceeded to tell us how to make a reservation in the future. In a very rude manner. This, added to the 30-40 1 table clean up before, left a very bad experience when you're trying to introduce someone to our favorite restaurant in Springfield. Unlike all the Korean BBQ in Kansas City this one is all you can eat for 2 hours instead of charging you for every different type of meat that you order. On top of that it is very reasonably priced. $25.00 a person- NOT worth that price! Management- less than desirable. As first timers- we were not explained the process/ experience. Just given small single portions for five people, that were not refilled for 30 min. Vegetarians are charged the same as beef and chicken and served big thick pieces of veggies that you have to grill on a semi hot grill with no oil or water to cook them in. Needless to say, they burn on sides and are raw inside. After waiting 25 min for drinks, not getting the one cup portioned sides re filled, the server having no idea what was in the food they were serving and wanting to know why the price for vegetarians were the same, we asked to speak to the manager. The server told us she was too busy to speak to us. It was Wednesday they weren't that busy yet. I was annoyed and disappointed at the experience, but it wasn't a huge issue until the server said she wasn't coming over. It was only after I told the server that wasn't good service to have the manager on duty (the owners sister) not address customers concerns. 20 min later she came over. Her response to our questions was "no one else has complained, here's a card email them your feed back"! WTH! The food selection was wonderful. Everyone in our party found their favorites pretty quickly and the service was great. The calamari and spicy pork are a must. The quality of food and style sets it apart in the Springfield scene. The price might detour some people but based on what you get and experience, it's a steal. It was an experience I would highly recommend. I'm hesitant to withhold the last star, however, we were sat at 3 different tables due to grill problems. I'm kinda glad we experienced some issue because it put their customer service to the test. This is an unexpectedly awesome find in South West Missouri. Legitimate Korean BBQ with AYCE. The food quality is great and has very wide selections meats and sides. My wife is very particular about meat quality and sides, and this place passes her high standards. I really love the radish wraps, so delicious and a fun alternative to lettuce wraps. Just an overall underwhelming dinner. $13 for a 4 year old to eat 2 tablespoons of rice. Will not be back.

The food is great as well as the price. Staff are very attentive and making sure you are comfortable.

It was well worth the drive from Rolla MO. The store was clean and you can tell they took corona virus seriously. Every other booth was blocked off. People were asked to notify the store when they arrived, and there were signs throughout the store asking people to wear mask when they are away from the table. The only thing i would suggest is that the restaurant stop using regular menu and update their website menu with the full description of the meats so they can have customers refer to the online menu from their own devices. I doubt the menus gets wiped down and allow to dry fully between customers. You bet i washed my hands after touching the menu. The premium meat selection was good. Would have preferred some butter at the table side. I was instructed to "brush on" sesame oil from my dish. Couple problems... 1) no brush... i used the spoon that was with the soup. 2) with raw meat... its not like I'm going to dip it into the dish.... so the sirloin stuck to the grill. The vegetable (especially the sweet potato) was sad. A little butter would have fixed it. It was also the reason we skipped the calamari. Overall great meal! I felt safe dinning there. read more

Love the concept of this place. Cooking your food in front of you on the table. Love the little mini apps they bring. A little pricey for the quality however. Granted we didn't have a reservation, but there were only 2 other tables in the restaurant when we came in. I have eaten at many different Korean BBQ restaurants in several states needless to say the service was very slow and almost felt like we annoyed them because we didn't have reservation. The $25 a person didn't bother me because I have paid more before, but this was the 1st time my sister and niece had had it and they were a bit shocked at the price but we said it was okay. There was 5 of us, my husband, 98yr grandpa, sister, niece and myself. Like I said there was only 2 other tables eating and no one waiting when we came in but still took us 15 mins to be seated then 10 minutes to get even water to drink while we looked over the menu and I explaining to rest of the table how Korean BBQ works. My sister and I only ones ordered a alcoholic drinks and took another 10 mines or so to get them after came back 2 times to tell me the beer I ordered was out of stock or just not selling anymore. So I just ordered Asahi beer. Once we ordered our 1st 2 meats, Shrimp and Beef bulgogi which everyone loved, my grandfather loves shrimp and he ate his fill and his $25 worth in shrimp alone. The Beef bulgogi was very well marinated and tasted great. Our 2nd round of meats were Shrimp and Short rib, the ribs were really weird cuts and tasted a bit off so we all struggled to eat them The 3rd round we did Pork belly and Chicken bulgogi. the Pork belly didn't seem to have enough fat to make it melt in your mouth when you crisped it up, was to lean and tough. the chicken tasted great. The final round got more shrimp for grandpa and Beef bulgogi again because those were the ones we liked the best. The side dishes that come with the meals took a while to get refilled but were really good, my sister and niece really loved the Kimchi and had 3 servings of it they never had it before and loved the spiciness of it Our bowl of rice came out after we reminded the server two times, got it finally at the start of 3rd round of meats. Like I said we all felt liked we annoyed them being there without a reservation, I would probably would come back but will make sure to have a reservation, because my grandpa really likes Korean BBQ and I may change my stars after a second visit. read more

They overcharge you so you can cook your own food at your table. Also they limit the amount of protein they bring you, regardless of table size, and take forever to bring you more. You get 2 hours for all you can eat Korean BBQ! I don't know how anyone can complain about that! The staff is super helpful with recommendations and assisting in cooking the food and cleaning the grill if it is your first time. I've been here twice and the waitress I had last helped cut my shrimp for me so that it will be easier to peel when done cooking. What I usually eat is Shrimp, Calamari, Chadolbaegi, Pork Belly, Hangjungsal, and Galbi. I don't care for any of the bulgogi's much as I'm not much of a fan for the flavor but my boyfriend loves them (beef, pork, and chicken). Oh! Can't forget about the sides! I absolutely loveeeee the kimchi they serve here, it doesn't taste super fermented. They also have a yellow corn side that's pretty good and the korean pancakes is amazing! Styled as a Korean BBQ, but Americanized somewhat. Price is reasonable, and portion sizes are good. Veggie option is completely unseasoned, so they cook up dry. Meat isn't thinly sliced so cooking is uneven. You're given scissors and tongs for cutting and turning meat on the grill, but only one pair of each, so you have to be careful about cross contamination of raw and cooked meats. Need a little more attention in the service department, servers just disappear after they bring your raw food. read more

I was surprisingly full after two rounds (and one of them was mostly vegetables). The food was very well flavored. Yes, you cook the food yourself, but you also get to pick the meat to be the perfect level of doneness that you want, and it's steaming hot into your belly (plus added sauces for extra flavor). Somebody on here mentioned cross-contamination. That's the silliest thing I've ever heard. It comes straight out of the fridge, onto the grill. It's not different than you cooking hotdogs and hamburger at a cookout. (and no one complains about cross-contamination there). I recommend the chicken bulgogi and vegetable tray. On service, the server and host were both extremely gracious and helpful in explaining everything, including all of the small dishes. Most importantly, I have a very severe nut and egg allergy and the server not only confirmed once, he doubled checked with the back of the house that there were no nuts or eggs in anything. Korean food has a lot of sesame, so that's tough to avoid, but not impossible. Overall, value was terrific. I was a little surprised at the sized of my Sapporo beer. But that's my only slight complaint. You're getting great food that's actually healthier than that crap at Applebees...and you can eat as much as you want. With the meats, you will get your standard rice, salad, soup and lettuce, and of course, the banchan. I think we had about five banchan options - not a lot, but it wasn't minimal either, if that makes sense. We stopped into this place for dinner and we're surprised when we stopped here. First, be patient with your waitstaff when you first get there because you will soon have a spread of food when you first sit down. We went with the premium option ($25) but there's a cheaper option ($17). All of the sauces, sides and appetizers are delicious. Then you start with four different meats and order what you want from there. You cook it on a stove in front of you. It's a great date night experience. If you're curious, there are cooking instructions online or your server will help. We had Janette and she was amazingly helpful.
