Definitely a great family friendly restaurant in downtown Sandpoint. Traci was our server and seemed as though she may have also been the owner or related to the owners. Very friendly with great suggestions. The patrons all seem to know her and shared hugs when leaving. My colleague and I stopped for lunch before visiting our customer. He ordered the Ahi Tuna Bowl which was loaded with Ahi Tuna and rice. I ordered the Portabello Burger sandwich with fries. What I learned is that you can't eat a portabello burger like a regular burger. You would need razor sharp teeth for each bite. It was easier to disassemble the sandwich and eat the portobello separately. It tasted great with the melted blue cheese. I also ordered the seafood chowder which should be their signature dish. It was loaded with seafood such as crab and I believe real lobster. It was outstanding.

    Philly sandwich was so delicious!

Philly sandwich and jalapeno burger were great. We had blueberry lemon cake with lemon glaze for dessert and it was absolutely amazing. Seriously so moist and full of flavor but not overbearing at all. Service was great, we can't wait to go back again.

It's dog friendly but only 4 street tables so Carli had to wait in the car. I got the the black and blue salad and it was OK. The steak was well prepared but so tough I bent my fork trying to cut it. :-( Needed some baking soda tenderizing. The burgers are great and so was the service at the bar. The bartender was uber nice. We'll be back.

I read the reviews before trying Baxters and was a little anxious about some poor service reviews. We go out to eat for many reasons but one is for service. I was pleasantly surprised when we were greeted and walked to a table. The server was attentive and polite. We had a cheddar burger and jalapeño burger. Both were excellent and each came with a large amount of fries. Th interior was simple and clean. I liked the small hand towels used as napkins. I put them to a lot of use when the burger juice dripped down my fingers. They also had a nice selection of beers on tap. Bottom line is: we will be back. It's nice to have another option when we visit.

Friendly staff, delicious food options. I love their clam steamers, honestly haven't eaten anything there I didn't like.

Great food and service. Also enjoyed the variety of craft local beer. Located on a street with lots of foot traffic and cool shops.

We were both warmly greeted right away and offered that cold drink we were both seeking. Our bartender, Slade, was very friendly and brought us warm foccacia bread with drizzled huckleberry sauce on it. We ordered the steak satay which was wonderfully marinated and soft enough to melt in your mouth - delicious. The foccaia bread was worth the trip alone. Slade was being assisted by Selene, behind the bar, who must have overheard us talking about taking the Foccacia bread home and immediately went into action preparing it for travel with a little extra huckleberry sauce for the road. Fabulous place, great surroundings and friendly staff - all around a great place to go.

Hostess then arrived and got us seated right away despite it being a bustling night. GREAT ambience - lively but not loud - no need to raise voice to talk with your party. Server came out promptly and took great care of us. My sister got the Jasmine and it was as great tasting as it was beautiful - tart, so if you like tart drinks get it and don't think twice. The Focaccia Bread WITH the steamer clams was a great appetizer (soak the bread in the tomato juice!) and the entrees were SO GOOD. The Chilean Sea Bass was PERFECTLY cooked and was up there in the best we've ever had. The pesto gnocchi + squash it rested on was delightful and the perfect combination. The Peruvian Chicken was ALSO perfectly cooked and its sauce was to die for. The potatoes that went along with were salted just right. Great great great, highly recommend whether you're having dinner or going to the bar with a friend for a LIVELY kind of experience

great breakfast and good prices…read more They let us have our two small dogs outdoors in the summer which was really nice. They have lots of space so the wait time usually low but if it's busy it can take a bit to get your order. Overall great stop.

Upon first impression, the place is decent sized with an outside patio area. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. I can see this place gets plenty of business, even a couple hours before closing, a great sign. I ordered the small version of the country scramble with eggs over medium, rye toast, and a side of country gravy. I did inquire the difference between the small and large. Our waitress explained the difference was only the extra egg on the large. You get 3 instead of 2. Fair enough! However, I probably should have gotten the large because portion size overall was pretty noticeable and everything was smaller, too. At any rate, my mistake and it turned out to be just enough food and....I didn't need to be a glutinous human that I tend to typically be! There was a hiccup on the toast, though. Completely forgot about it. They did bring it after mentioning. No biggie. The meal was good. Everything was cooked well. Gravy had nice texture with a peppery flare, worked nicely with rest of meal. My wife had the teriyaki stir fry with salmon. The piece of salmon was pretty good sized. My wife enjoyed the meal, no complaints. All in all, it's good place to go. The prices are relatively reasonable, service is friendly, and the ambiance is super laid back. 4 out of 5 stars, would recommend.
