Been using Baxters since I found them 8 months ago on Yelp. They have been awesome from pricing to quality for the wash and trims for both my dogs. Both my dogs are happy and super clean when I pick them up. More importantly the dogs are never there long, unlike others which keep them all day! If I want to change a cut style Baxters always does it without question or snarls as other places do. One of my dogs is super hyper and super size but Baxters never has a problem with dealing with her. In fact they love taking pictures of her lol. Thanks guys keep up the good work! read more

She's been taking care of them since we found her at Petsmart & we were devastated when we found out she left until we found her here & we couldn't be happier; she loves my babies as much as they love her! Yesterday I took a chance and called them, I couldn't get ahold of my regular groomer. My two Maltese's were more grey then white. We had a small house fire and they were covered in soot and the hotel they put us up in had a stand up shower with a fixed head so I couldn't do it myself. I explained this to the nice young lady the answered the phone and even though they were booked she said the would work them in. They were there a little while but that was ok, I just want them to get a bath but the got the whole package and they look great. Thank you ladies so very much I will remember this. read more

We were taking our dog to PetsSmart for grooming and the prices were insane and the grooming wasn't that good. We heard about Baxster's from a friend and decided to take our dog there. Jen was very friendly and professional and the service was great. She does and outstanding job grooming our dog for a third of the price of PetSmart. read more

I came here from a recommendation that a friend gave me. We were quoted $50 for our medium-sized, very fluffy Samoyed. She has very thick fur and likes to roll in the backyard, so her undercoat (especially around her neck) had a few mats underneath the fur, which we were very transparent about. Dropped her off 9am, she was ready at 4:30pm and our original quote of $50 had gone up to $90. No problem, she's a huge ball of fluff and I know she was in serious need of a trip to the groomer so I expected it. What I didn't expect was to pet her in the car on the way home and find a mat behind her ear. Upon getting home I found that the fur on her neck had only been brushed on the surface level. She had not been trimmed or had her nails clipped as we discussed. Not sure what they really did except maybe give her a bath and brush out her topcoat. I could have done that myself at home for free. Very disappointed and will not be returning again. They might be good for dogs with short coats, but if yours has a lot of fur, this isn't the place! read more

Took my baby girl here for the first time and got her toe nails clipped and she did an amazing job!

I found Baxter's on Yelp, while we sat at the dog park watching our dog get slimy & muddy romping in bliss with the other dogs there. Our dog really has minimal grooming needs (nail clipping, wash & glands expressed), but he detests going to most groomers. They did a great job, adding that extra little touch of a cute bandana around his neck, even. They gave a good report on how he did, and what they did for him. Price was average, and they fit us in within a few days, so that was nice. Also, our dog was not unhappy (he is usually pulling us to the parking lot to get out of there at the other groomers) when we picked him up. He's pretty neurotic, so if say they did an outstanding job with him. We'll be using them regularly now. read more

If I could select no stars I would!!!!! First of all this is not my first time going to Baxters grooming. Just when you think you have found someone that really cares about your pets you find out otherwise. I took my two dogs to this grooming place on November 2, 2019 when I get home I see Buddy's paws is bleeding. I called them up, took him back over there and they said they cut his pad And that they will put something on it to make it stop. Well they put something but he walks so it continuously kept bleeding I finally wrapped it and kept it on for a couple days. Why didn't they tell me that when I pick them up I don't know maybe they hope that it would stop bleeding. NEXT: I always ask them did you do their anal glands and their response is yes in fact I mention that when I drop them off I want their anal glands done. When we got home they were both scooting which is odd because we just got back from the groomers. I didn't pay too much attention to it but today a week later Bella had something on the side of her little butt. I took her to the vet and her anal gland ruptured. I'm so upset I can't even called them back. My sister calls for me and they told her we did not do their glands. So they either lied to me and said they did it or they lied to her and said they didn't. My little Bella is at the vet today. They had to keep her sedate her and clean it out. That will cost $400. I now feel like I need to make buddy an appointment to have his anal glands checked since they lied and told me that they did or maybe they really didn't. BEWARE pet lovers read more

just brought my dog home from the groomer. While the ladies that work there are really nice, they did a very poor job on my dog. The kept her for almost 8 hours and when I went to pick her up her back side was still VERY WET.... when we brought her home we realized that her WHOLE BODY is still WET, not moist, damp or anything... WET!!!! So now I spent a lot of $$ to get her all clean and pretty and I am stuck with a dog that SMELLS. I realize that my dog is a big one, but after 7 hours I expected her to be fully DRY. Other groomers get her washed, cleaned and DRY in way less time than that! Sadly, Will not come back. read more

I love Baxter's. We have been there 4 times now. They take great care of my dog. I had two old girls, and they took care of the one that had horrible skin issues with kind hearts. She is gone now, but they still give great care to our last little old lady. She looks like a million bucks when we leave. Prices are very reasonable, too! read more

I wanted to try this place based on YELP reviews but everyone have different experiences as well as opinions. I made sure to prioritize the appointment I have with them for our dog. Planned to work later to make it to the appointment and what do you know.. I got there and closed due to emergency. I totally get it, things happens but a courtesy call to cancel the appointment was the least they can do. I called today to get their side before I make a post. But the lady said they did call the clients.. however, 2 other customers showed up how did it happen that there were also 2 other clients that came and didn't get the call. If I can make a recommendation Just apologize and try to gain back my business instead of trying to make excuses since what is done is done... if I could put more than 5 stars I would! I have been to tons of places in the AV and I have finally found my dream groomer, Brianna! I have a Yorkshire terrier and Brianna used to cut her hair at petsmart and thank goodness they told me she had moved and where she had moved to. a lot of people would not have said where their competitors are located. Brianna has always been super nice and so were the other staff! I was honestly a little skeptical only because I have had horrible experiences to get the right cut for my dog and her breed. I came in to pick her up and my eyes LIT up with excitement! she was the cutest thing I have ever seen!!!!! and I will definitely be coming back! Amazing and very sweet girls that work here and took excellent care of my babies and they were groomed exactly as I asked

I used to take my pomeranian to Petsmart and would easily spend $70 per visit. Then I got a German Shepherd and there was no way I was going to take both of them over there. Someone from the dog park recommended Baxters and I haven't looked elsewhere since, nor do I plan to. They do such an amazing job and the prices are so reasonable (can both of my dogs done for a little over what I was paying for 1 dog at petsmart). I swear my Pomeranian comes back looking cuter and cuter every time. The German Shepherd just gets a bath, but they do a good job with the deshedding treatment. Both of my dogs are white and I love how clean they look afterwards =) The added bows and bandannas don't hurt either! read more

Very easy to schedule grooming for our 10 year old golden retriever. They really took their time in grooming him. He looked great afterwards (wish I had photos)! Our golden retriever being a senior dog has hip issues and the owner sent a message the next day asking about him. Such a nice gesture to take time out of their busy day to do that. I've tried many grooming salons in the AV for my older poodle Mia, and I have never experienced the customer service like I have by our new groomer Brianna and the rest of the staff here at Baxters! They were SO accommodating and made my Mia look GORGEOUS! Brianna was very thorough when asking what cut I wanted, which she completely nailed, she even gave my sweet girl a complimentary bow!
