We bought our Tcup Morkie from Gail... we got him when he was only 9 weeks old... he's 15 weeks old now and he's the best first dog I've ever owned! He came potty trained which was a blessing!! We named our little guy Chewy which is short for Chewbacca! ***Gail don't be surprised if we come by and get another puppy so Chewy has a sibling to play with. Update: It's been exactly 1 year since I've gotten Mochi from Gail. He has the most sassiest personality but is very well behaved. Gail told me that he was from her smallest litter so he'll be around 5lbs max and she was right! It's been a little over a year and he is still really tiny. However, he is starting to limp and my Veterinarian says it could be from inbreeding because they found nothing wrong with his X-rays or joints. Also, when I first brought Mochi home, he had a mild ear infection. Always take your new pup to the Vet after you take him home. read more

I thought I would update one last time since some people are messaging me with questions. We have had her dna tested at two different places and both have come out with the same results, she is 70% Maltese, 20% Toy Poodle and 10% Shih Tzu. We are extremely happy with her though she is very happy, healthy, hyper and friendly. She also weighs around 10 pounds which is perfectly normal for a Maltipoo. We have gotten 4 puppies in the last 16 years. Nothing but pure love and devotion. We are back since 2 of our chi's have passed of old age and our malteepoo just passed from a bad vet experience getting a teeth cleaning. Never let a vet put your teacup under for teeth cleaning. Only use gas or don't do it!!! We are back looking for another baby. Our hearts are ripped to shreds from our loss of Twinky that was 100% avoidable. We are sad about our old babies too but you can't avoid old age. We are back again hoping this wonderful lady can bring us another 6 pound malteepoo .... Only time will tell. read more

I got my last puppy a Morkie from Gail. When I take her out 10 years later I get stopped because of her beautiful face and charisma. I remember all her puppies were cute and she has something for everyone. If there is a breed she carries and your looking you can call her when puppy is available. She may tell when puppies are due and than they are available in 8 weeks so they feed from the mother. I love my dog I got from Gail they come with a full shots and instructions on what to do next. Update! Charlie is happy and healthy and my greatest love. He is 10 months old and is about 13 pounds. Was hoping he would stay4-5 pounds but he's still cute. Have been having trouble training him and later found out he's inbred so be can't learn properly and is slower than dogs that aren't inbred. read more

Buyer beware. I attended one of Gail's open houses a few months back... there was a line of us waiting to go inside and get a glimpse of her puppies. We were funneled into a dirty sunroom, and then her husband brought basket after basket after basket of puppies. You suddenly forget about the dirty room and the uncomfortable setting and you fall in love with 50+ adorable little fur balls. And then you realize that it didn't matter that you were at the door 30 minutes before everyone else- there is no order to the system- everyone starts grabbing puppies from every basket and starts hoarding them while they try to figure out which one is the one they're actually going to buy. In the meantime, you're instructed to make sure you put the puppies back into the exact basket which you took them from! Ha! Right.. they all kind of look the same! (*red flags!!*) I debated between a black curly hair female and a little white female (the runt! Half the size of her siblings!). The black one was drooling perfusely, although Gail kept wiping it and said she had just drank water(?). I had been holding her for 10 minutes and it was clearly drool. Gail was encouraging me to buy both, but I was concerned about the drool, so I ended up taking the "Teacup" white morkie. Princess, as we named her, was very small, less than 1 lb. After taking her for a vet exam, we were given high sugar supplement to help boost her calorie intake. That wasn't a big deal.. it was what filled in the coming months.. By four months old, Princess' eyes had began to bulge a bit and turns out she was partially cross eyed and partially blind. She was also completely deaf and began to have issues walking. Her back began to hunch, and she constantly walked into things. She walked in circles quiet a bit, as well. The vet said she had orientation problems.. by 4 months, she also didn't potty train after much effort! she started to lose energy - after no change in diet or environment. I called Gail to discuss all this and she told me that there wasn't anything she could do, and that some of this was normal... I told her I was concerned that I was sold a sick puppy with health problems, and asked if I could exchange her. As much as I loved her, I knew something was very wrong. Gail said "all sales were final, but that I could buy another puppy" as a playmate for her. A few days after that conversation, we woke up to find Princess had passed away! It was a huge shocker, but we knew something had to be wrong even though the vet couldn't pinpoint it. After looking back at when I purchased her, it's apparent that Gail's dogs are inbred and Princess was the result of that. She had many health issues - as I'm sure that black puppy did! Gail will dispute this, I know it. She's a feisty woman who is running a shady "cash-only" puppymill in her garage. :( I know not everyone's puppies have turned out like this, but I'm sure many have and just didn't have the time or energy to post their experience. :( read more

San Jose Puppies is amazing! We got our puppy, a 2 month old toy morkie from Gail, and she is PERFECT. We took her to the vet sometime later for checkups, and she was PERFECTLY HEALTHY AND ALL SHOTS WERE UP TO DATE. Even if Gail isn't a certified breeder, she has A LOT of experience breeding healthy dogs. NOTHING in the homepage is wrong. Our little girl is turning 100 days old now still cute and pretty as she was when we first got her. She is full of energy and happiness. Thanks to San Jose puppies for selling us our special girl. Turns out my 9 month old baby is a Yorkiepoo from the DNA result we got today, instead we were told and given the paper work for a yorkie. I love my dog no matter the breed but still thought Gail should have let us know that it was a yorkiepoo when we asked for a yorkie. Atleast the good news is that our dog is the first generation cross breed and not in-line bred and is 5.4 pounds as of now. No genetic health issues according to DNA. Still very happy with our dog but all the while I was thinking my dog is a purebred yorkie. Still giving 4 stars as I love my dog to the core and also for the care instruction and response from Gail during the initial days when we got our beloved pup. Would recommend this place but just be careful about the information given about the pups. read more

We've had Bella for 5 weeks now. She is the sweetest thing; she loves playing with anything she can hold in her mouth. Our family loves her so much. She's that kind of dog who follows your mood. If your happy and excited, she'll play with you! If all you wanna do is sit on the couch and watch tv, she'll cuddle up with you. Potty training has been going great right now. She's running up to the pee pad and doing her business most times. (We're still practicing) We are so thankful we got her. It's one of the best things our family has ever experienced! She also went to the vet, and she was PERFECTLY FINE!!! The vet said that she was 100% healthy and all she needed were her shots and boosters! I definitely recommend Gail if you are looking for some cute and healthy puppies! You probably won't regret it! I'm not sure how to rate my experience as parts were outstanding and one horrible. This is not a breeder as I was lead to believe. She is more of a distributor. I was lead to believe that she had studs and made sure there was no inbreeding and verified purebreds for both mothers and fathers. Papers are impossible with mixed breeds as they aren't purebreds. I specifically wanted a maltipoo for temperament and lack of shedding. My pup adopted me instead of vice versa as it was love at first sight. She didn't look like a maltipoo to me but I was assured she was. Buyer beware!!! She even wrote it on the papers. For some reason she liked both my pooch and me and offered to give her shots for $5. That was much cheaper than my vet so I brought her back for puppy shots. On my first return visit she admitted that the pooch wasn't a maltipoo but was most likely a Morkie. She didn't know anything about the parents. She told me that there were two girls in the litter. I've been told to sue her as I adopted a terrier mix/mutt and paid $650 for her. I love my dog despite the familiar problems that terriers bring. She's a love so there is no way I could return her. Everyone who has met her laughs when I explain that she's supposed to be a Morkie. I was conned. Be careful. I should have listened to my gut. By the way, she is healthy and thriving and has been my baby for six months. The dogs are shown in a family room. You don't get to see the kennel. Each dog/litter is brought into the room in a laundry basket. They are freshly bathed and have a few human toys to play with. My vet said baby rattles and most baby toys are too dangerous and not to use them. read more

I learned this week after submitting a DNA sample for my 'maltese poodle' that he in fact has no maltese ancestory. He is a poodle, Shih Tzu and West Highland White Terrier mix. I still love my dog but feel deceived by breeder, Gail, from sanjosepups.com . I paid $550 for a dog that I could have purchased from the SPCA. Gail claims that the lab test is wrong stating that she will continue to sell her puppies with no change in her business practice. Watch out as this is a puppy mill.
