We purchased TRUCOR® Prime Pinnacle flooring here for our 1800sf home in Soquel. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Over the course of three months, David M. at the store measured our house, provided many samples of different flooring types, and created several different quotes (sorry for all the changes, David!)[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When the flooring arrived, a few boxes had been damaged in shipment. Without us even asking, the delivery documents described the damage and offered a refund or credit. This high level of service is the reason to choose a local vendor instead of an internet vendor. We tried getting samples from some online vendors, but it was clear those were more interested in getting our email addresses to spam us than helping us choose the right floor. Update: We have an old Queen Ann victorian in the Downtown area that was built in 1898. The kitchen has seen many floors over its lifetime. It had old, cracked linoleum that really needed some help. So, since I had such a great experience with Bay Area Floors at my office (see a previous review), I gave them a call again! This is a rental property. We were also on a tight timeline to turn it around to lease to new occupants. And, we wanted to upgrade the flooring for a better look and especially better durability! We decided on LVP for its durability and elegant look. And, Bay Area Floors had exactly what we were looking for, and in stock at their new Warehouse Store! No worries or delays on ordering and hoping supply chain issues would not be a problem. That was a big concern of mine. We selected one of their in-stock LVP options that perfectly fit the look of the kitchen and scheduled the installation. We only had a 2-day window when the flooring could be installed in between various other contractors. And, they would have to move an old, heavy Wedgewood stove and a large, heavy, glass-front sideboard. They accommodated us with no problem! They dropped off the materials the night before the installation. The installers showed up right on time early the next morning. They carefully unhooked and moved the stove and sideboard without a scratch on them or any other surface. I was impressed! They had to do some minor entry and subfloor repairs, prepare and install the LVP, and move the Wedgewood stove and sideboard back in and hook it back up. After finishing the installation, everything was back in place and the stove worked perfectly! (I was worried about the stove.) And, the whole area was perfectly clean like a contractor had never been there. They did it all in 1 DAY! And we were ready for the new tenants to move in on time! Thank you Bay Area Floors! Our water softener recently sprung a leak and dumped water all over the kitchen/dining room area of our home. The original flooring we had was a combination of vinyl and wood laminate. With the money our home insurance company gave us we decided to look around for something better than what we had. We wanted to go with tile but that was going to be ridiculously expensive. After visiting with Scott at Bay Area Floors we decided on LVP, (luxury vinyl plank). This material has the look and feel of wood but is waterproof so we wouldn't have to worry if we ever had a problem with our water softener again. This also means that you can put LVP in places you wouldn't want to put wood like the kitchen and bathrooms. Scott was very knowledgable and helpful. He walked us through the different options and brands. We finally decided on Gaia material. Scott had his team drop off the material on a Thursday and his installer called me the next day and scheduled his guys to come by on Saturday morning. A team of 3 arrived right on time at 9am and got right to work. They finished up the entire job, (over 600 sq ft.) in a single day. They even helped me put my washer and dryer back in place when they were done with the floor. I was especially appreciative of the fact that they cleaned up after themselves. I've had many other contractors in my house recently and they leave the house a mess every time. Drives me nuts. I can't recommend Scott and the people at Bay Area Floors more highly. We got new carpet for a family room and they were very easy to work with. Everything was handled quickly and efficiently. We only had one problem when the carpet layer came to install, he needed to cut the huge roll to fit the room before bringing into the house, and since it was raining, he had to take the roll off site and take his own measurements. I would give five stars if it weren't for that. Bay Area Floors should have given him the room dimensions so he could have cut it before coming for the install. read more

We had them install wool carpeting in a downstairs bedroom and luxury vinyl in the adjoining bathroom with new baseboard that had to be stained.
