I will start by saying I get massages VERY often and prefer firm pressure. Usually places don't even do it firm enough. I decided to give this place a try because of the price and availability. They have a phone number you can text and they respond very quick which is nice but that's probably the only good quality about this place. I came in for the 90 minute back pressure massage and requested Ivy. The bathroom was very interesting...there was a shower and bucket but it doesn't seem like it's for customers. It didn't feel very clean. Anyways when I got ready for my massage, there was no indication when the masseuse was actually going to come in so I rushed to get ready. When she came in, I was waiting for her to ask me what hurt and what areas I wanted to work on...instead she asked me what was wrong because I was looking at her... As for the massage, there was no method and she would work on random areas longer than others and one side more than the other. Not because that side or area needed more work. My lower back was the part that was hurting really bad and that's what I wanted to focus on but she did not even touch my lower back. She kept burping during our session and I felt her body press up against the wall while she used one arm to lean into me while she used the other to massage me. When it came to the hot stones, she didn't tell me when they were being applied, she randomly slapped them on in the middle of the session, they were super hot, and kept sliding off and falling on the side on my body about 9 different times. She wouldn't even notice for quite some time and would eventually throw them back on my back where they would just slide off again. Where it went really wrong was the pressure and what she did to my spine. I kept telling her lighter pressure and she acknowledged it but didn't go any lighter. I was sweating, making noises, and moving my body from being in so much pain but she didn't change anything. She kept ELBOWING and using her knuckles to press into my spine, especially where your neck and spine meet, between your shoulders. Anyone knows that massaging and especially elbowing bone is a HUGE safety issue and should never be done. I was trying to sit through it and tried not be rude, but eventually I was in so much pain I told her to end the session 30 minutes early as I couldn't take it anymore and was worried. I was in so much pain and couldn't really move. This wasn't a sore pain you feel after a deep massage, this was "is something bruised" "do I need to go to see my doctor" pain. What made things worse was when I went to check out, the front desk lady didn't seem to realize I came out 30 minutes early! She looked at my tip and questioned why it was so little (I paid the full 90 massage price AND tipped). I told her that it was way too hard and I was in pain. She proceeded to tell me in mandarin why I was wrong and how it was just firm pressure. This is really upsetting because no one should ever elbow someone's spine and neck bone, no matter how light or firm pressure is! It was extremely loud outside as well. There was a man talking on the phone, people talking very loud to each other...not a very relaxing setting. I came into this wanting to be relaxed, hoping to be in less pain, and instead I was even more stressed out and literally could not even lay against a pillow for 3 days at home. My spine felt like it had been burned and bruised. I regret not waiting for an opening at my usual place.

She has an intuitive touch that always finds and releases the knots and tension I build up from long hours at the computer and intense workouts. Her massages have made a huge difference in my recovery and overall well-being. The spa itself is a hidden gem. It's located in an unassuming strip mall, but don't let that fool you because the space is clean, the staff are very professional, kind, and welcoming. It looks like the spa may be under new ownership, and they're doing a great job creating a relaxing, high-quality experience. One thing to know: the staff primarily speak Mandarin, so if you call, don't hang up if there's a delay. They use live Google voice translation, which works well but takes a moment. Be patient; it's worth it. The prices are also incredibly reasonable for the level of care and skill you receive. I highly recommend May and Sea House Spa to anyone looking for true therapeutic bodywork at great value.

It was a pleasant enough experience up until it was time to tip. Despite purchasing this couples massage on Groupon, I always tip based on the original, pre-discounted cost. For a 60 minute couples massage, the price was advertised as $150 in house. I was planning on tipping the 15% on the $150 and the masseuse honestly made it really uncomfortable for me. She kept saying my entered tip amount is just 1 person and I said that's 15% of the cost of the massage. I even showed her my math on the calculator. She then said she expected at least $20 per person for the massage and that's coming up to almost 30% tip. I ended up tipping 20% and walking out and will likely not be returning. Perhaps increase the cost of the service rather than making customers feel awkward and obligated to tip higher.

The staff recommended a massage therapist named Ken, and I'm so glad they did. Ken was absolutely amazing. His English isn't very strong, but honestly, his massage skills speak for themselves. He seemed to understand exactly where I was feeling the most tension and worked on those areas really well. By the end of the 90 minutes, I felt like a completely different person. My body felt so much lighter, relaxed, and comfortable. After being stuck on a plane for hours, this was exactly what I needed. I would definitely recommend Ken if you're looking for a great massage, especially after a long flight or when your body is feeling tight and tired. I'll definitely be back!

(60 min Massage, 30 min "Salt Sauna") Finding parking in front of the building was convenient, but locating the business on the second floor was quite confusing, as it shares an entrance with the local 24 Hour Fitness. While checking in was smooth and I opted into a $9 upgrade (hot stone, oil, and salt), the vast, empty lobby lacked the welcoming ambiance and tranquility typically expected of a professional spa. Nicole was incredibly hard-working and delivered a thorough, high-pressure deep tissue massage using effective elbow and forearm techniques. The hot stones were a nice addition, though I never noticed any salt treatment being applied despite paying for the upgrade. Unfortunately, the treatment room itself was a major disappointment. It resembled a basic hotel room furnished with an seemingly homemade wooden massage bed and a recliner. Additionally, the headrest had a noticeable odor, and the room was dusty enough to instantly trigger my allergies and cause nasal congestion. The most concerning part of the visit was the "Salt Sauna." This was simply another converted hotel room with cloth walls, plastic seating designed to look like rocks, and a few actual salt blocks on a ledge. It lacked any proper sauna components, such as an electric heater, wood-burning stove, or infrared panels. Labeling this as a sauna feels like a blatant misrepresentation. Furthermore, when I asked for a dressing room, I was instructed to change inside this makeshift sauna room. This was highly uncomfortable due to the heat, and it raised serious privacy concerns as the door featured a peephole facing inward toward the room. Upon departure, I requested a receipt for proof of service. The front desk informed me they could not provide one because the booking was made through a third party. As a customer, it is highly unusual and unprofessional for a business to refuse to provide a standard receipt confirming services were rendered on their premises. Nicole's exceptional performance is the only reason this review is not a 1-star rating. She is incredibly talented, but the management desperately needs to address the subpar facility conditions, misleading descriptions, and lack of professional privacy standard.

I paid for an hour long deep tissue massage. $70 is on the pricier side but a good massage is worth it. This one was not worth it. The massage tech didn't seem to know what she was doing. She didn't use any oil. She seemed to barely be touching me... It was like the brush of a butterfly wing. She just kept going back-and-forth back-and-forth over my back without any kind of a plan, and without any strength, and without any apparent knowledge of the musculature, I asked her to do it harder she did not. She asked if she could walk on my back and I let her do that she stayed up there for about 20 minutes. Just kind of walking back-and-forth not specifically seeming to target anything. I have an injury on my knee and I asked her to please not touch my knee, but she spent a good long time rubbing my knee and yanking on my leg, which was extremely painful. After this horrible experience, I reached out to management and asked if they could either comp me a massage or give me a discounted rate on another full body one hour massage so I could try a different technician and they have had the audacity to not even respond to my request. Terrible shoddy workmanship, and a terrible way to run a business. !!!! It took a week, but the business finally reached out to me! They offered me a complementary massage because of my terrible experience. I'm so grateful I feel like that's the right thing to do in this situation. Thank you so much!
