Service/quality: I was introduced to Connie who immediately knew why I was coming in. I've been having neck strain on both sides (prob due to office life lolol) and she recommended instead of the normal 60min combo (feet and body) at $65, I try the 60min pain treatment that targets the source of pain at $100. Tbh at first I was thinking, this could just be a way to upcharge, but I tried it anyways and WAS I WRONG! Connie is LEGIT! I should've never questioned her! She went in on all my neck/back knots for a good 30/40mins. She went deep and cracked everything too! I would like to note that this massage was far from relaxing lol, but it was exactly what I needed! I can finally move my neck left to right and up and down. Had I known I wouldn't have walked for an hour beforehand. - Rushed, swift motions, with no technique at all. - 15 minutes in, the masseuse yelled that the music was too loud. Rest of the massage was in silence. I heard people chattering, and someone hacking and coughing in the bathroom, - She forgot my entire right arm. - She did my left leg twice and barely did my right leg. - Worst of all - her nails were long. We booked the combo massage and could tell right away that they were very busy. When the service started, our feet were placed in hot water. I told my masseuse that the water was too hot, and instead of adjusting it, she dipped my foot in, said "it's good for you," and walked away. The massage itself felt rushed and careless. My legs were barely massaged, there was no real technique, and my arms were essentially forgotten. They were rubbed for about a minute, shaken a bit, and then she moved on. Even small details felt sloppy. When lotion was applied, it was just pumped directly onto my back rather than worked in properly. My partner's experience was just as uncomfortable. His masseuse left midway through, and the front desk employee took over, which felt very strange, rushed, and unprofessional. Yes, it is easy to get an appointment here, but consistency matters. My friend said her masseur Tim is pretty good but mine is not great. She (SuYan) pretty much just rubbed me with the oils instead of massage me. Plus timing is off. I've been getting massages for a hot minute now, and always on the hunt for good massage therapists. When I lived in this area a little over 6 years ago, I actually came here back then because I liked the price, but also I think they're a step above your typical average Chinese massage establishment. I've had good massages from a number of the therapists here, and have yet to be super disappointed (unlike many other no frills place). With that being said, I don't think the people here know the muscles as well as the more expensive high end massage therapists you can find. I've certainly been in a small amount of pain because they don't massage some of the areas correctly (it's nothing too bad). I come here when I want the person to (I say this in a positive way) wreck me. Sometimes that's what you need when you have those knots in your neck/back. Also since I was last here, they have made upgrades which I thought was great! The original seats in the front where you get foot massages have all been replaced, and the rooms also upgraded as well. This place is a no frills place where you can get a very decent massage to relax and get rid of some knots etc. There are no fancy robes & slippers - in fact, I highly recommend wearing comfy shorts and a tank top/ cami, for the best experience. Most people go straight to the 60 minute foot massage for $45. Soo-Ya helped me with my massage today and she had some muscle. Parts of it hurt a little bit but I felt great and loose the next day. I would definitely ask for her again on my next visit. At these prices, the masseuses are probably making a very modest hourly wage so if you can afford to, do tip generously!
