We booked the bike about a week in advance for a full day for $65, and it was ready for pickup when we arrived. The staff did a safety inspection and let us know that helmets are included with the rental and that we could return the bike to any Sports Basement location. My friend also asked if they could leave their backpack there, and the staff kept it behind the desk, which was really nice. The bike was in good condition! We rode it for 4-5 hours with no issues. A few things I wanted to point out - the seat was pretty narrow and hard, which made it uncomfortable to sit on. It had been a while since I last biked, so I'm not sure if I just need to wear padded shorts or if the seat wasn't the right fit for me. Another thing is that I couldn't sit in the front because the seat was too tall for me to comfortably reach the pedals, and there didn't seem to be an easy way to adjust the height. Lastly, it would've been nice to have a phone mount on the handlebar for navigation. We turned in the bike at the end of the day. Overall, the process was very smooth, the staff were friendly, and the rental was affordable. I would do it again, but I'd wear padded shorts next time :)

We went not completely sure which bike we wanted or the best fit. The staff working was very informative and spent a lot of time explaining options and tradeoffs. I appreciate they didn't just push us to the most expensive options. Rather, they took the time to understand his preferences and use for the bike and then made a few recommendations. They were very patient the entire time, letting him test ride multiple bikes until he found the perfect one. We had such a great experience that we went back to purchase a second bike later that evening!

The sales associate had immediate knowledge like if the item was waterproof and they proactively added nice socks which made the shoes work. Otherwise they did not fit. I also liked that he gave me a nice pro briefing on gators which are another snow solution if you have high or low shoes. A second sales guy made sure the shoes had the right discount tag. I was ignored for an hour a different store the day prior. It was nice to have regular service again! This restored my faith in good customer service.

This shop and the nearby popular beach with which it shares a name and is known for their huge wave surfing is a must-see if you're in the area. So, for that reason, and because I have a son named Maverick, we decided to swing by this surf shop and check it out... We weren't in the market for any surf gear, but they have everything you need here if you are. We enjoyed perusing their store and I ended up purchasing a t-shirt and hat. The other stores in the area were closed for renovation, but if you end up here, eat at nearby Sam's and make an afternoon of it. That's what we did. Enjoy!

I signed up for a refresh course and the pool is conveniently located with its own parking lot. I arrived and was promptly greeted by PSD staff and checked in. Jeremiah and Casey were our dive instructors. Both were patient and explained everything in great details. I had a fantastic time. Would highly recommend PSD to everyone.

Spent over $500 in certification and personal gear at this shop and yet such lack in service, felt treated like a cash cow with disregard to providing a positive experience. They forgot to include my wetsuit in my bin so during my ocean dives in Monterey I had to rent my own wetsuit on the day of my dives. Discussed this situation upon return of equipment and instead almost got charged with $55 for not capping the dust cap back on the regulator. Funny how they DO NOT stress or mention at all upon renting gear - you have to read it in the fine print. Which I feel the owner does on purpose for customers to pay out the extra $55. We ended up "breaking even" despite the huge inconvenience their mistake has brought upon me on my important certification days. Super disappointed with this shop and management. Please bring your business elsewhere.

Both we fabulous taken care of my daughter and I, with the rest of the class. The staff is so attentive and helpful every time we are in the store and is excellent at providing information about scuba and equipment in a way a new diver can understand. Matt V the instructor for the course was so calming, knowledgeable and fun, but most importantly, he was so incredibly supportive. I was very anxious about the mask removal and replace and they provided encouragement, strategies, and extra praise when I was able to complete this skill. I wish I would have done this years ago but it didn't happen and for my daughter's high school graduation my husband treated us both the getting certified so we could all dive with the manta ray's on the Big Island for her Grad Trip. Although they have a more comprehensive MMA and / boxing selection than others. I love boxing and noticed they are having a sale on punching bags, so I purchased a 70 pound Everlast elite. I normally use 100 pound bags, but this will do because I can always add more filling to make it heavier. I am seriously impressed with the quality, durability of the bag, it's indestructible and looks great! feels good against my hands and it maintains its shape, makes a great noise when it takes a shot. Really good for bent arm shots. I hung it up in my garage with a 150 pound ceiling anchor that I got at Home Depot, overall great bag and it doesn't swing too much, but still gives a decent swing. We needed snowboarding gear - the whole shebang - and he spent ages with us, patiently explaining all the differences between boards, boots, gloves, the lot! He even made sure we got a helmet that actually fit (which is harder than it sounds!). It wasn't just about selling us stuff; he really made sure we got exactly what we needed. And he mentioned their snowboard service, to get the snowboard ready to use, which was a lifesaver knowing we're total newbies! Seriously, we were in the store for about four hours, and Thomas was fantastic the entire time. He's super knowledgeable and friendly - he made the whole experience fun, not stressful at all. Worst experience ever. It should be 0 star. Long story short, they sold my daughter a wrong size of…read moreski boot, and even with a wrong sized liner inside the shell last year. The guy work there is rude and refuse to acknowledge mistake and blame us and my daughter for it. Today we came in to get my daughter a new ski boot since she feels the boot is not comfortable. They fitted my daughter 17.5 today, but the boot we got last year is 18.5. Surprised by this, we actually found out they sold us a boot of 18.5 shell with 17.5 liner last year! When I asked the guy (who seems to be in charge) how it happened and what can we do, he became rude and says that the boot is trash now and it doesn't matter what they sold us last year. He even blame my 6 year old daughter for walking on the toe. Sure the boot has some wear on the toe pad but come on, you blame a 6 year old girl for your own mistake? When we look closely, the liner can move a lot inside the shell. I cannot imagine how my daughter was able to ski 40days last season with ski team. I told him she can get injured due to this. You know what he says? "Ski is dangerous sport and you can get injured in lots of ways". COME ON! All I wanted was some professional opinion on how to deal with a mismatch between shell and liner and an apology on their mistake. But the response I get is this. What further puzzled me is that how come they boot fitted my daughter 18.5 last year and 17.5 this year. Apparently they don't know what they are doing, or not willing to do it correctly.
