Went here tonight since I was in the area and had never tried it, but have heard good things. It's super easy to find since it's a large building with plenty of signage, parking is more than ample with spaces all around the building. Coming in it does have a Red Lobster feel but once inside you get inside you'll see it's just one large open room instead of divided up like a lot of chain places. It was crowded but not packed with a mainly older crowd, and most of them were black (not a problem, just noting that). Got seated quickly and the server came by right after and got the drink order then let me go over the menu. There's a lot of food here, much like a Red Lobster, but they do more soups, a few more apps, and burgers too, and the prices are a little lower I think for what they list. No alcohol though, strictly water/tea/soft drinks, but I was alright with that as early as it was. Ordered up a New York strip with Red Snapper, blackened, baked potato, Texas toast, and a salad. Price was $16.95. Salad came out quick, pretty fresh, lettuce, cabbage, carrot, tomato, cucumber, and red onion, with a good tasting Ranch dressing. The entree wasn't long after and I got a full plate for sure, 10oz steak and easily the same size (though not weight) fish, and a good size potato. It was all cooked to order and quite good, so much that I should have stopped and taken some home but stuffed myself and finished it. Very good meal indeed. Dined in Saturday for my mother's 60th bday. Reservation for 16 @ 4:30. We got there early and they were able to seat us over 30 minutes before our reserved time. How awesome is that. The service was wonderful. Friendly wait staff and food was awesome. Wished I could remember our waiter/waitress' name so I could give them a shoutout. Amazing experience overall. I visited this location back in 2008 for the first time and it was horrid. We wanted seafood but wanted something different this time so we tried Bay Breeze again. Like most of the other reviews the service was good, but the food was cold. I ordered the Maryland Crab Cake and it taste like someone took a biscuit and melted it down and fried it with onions in meal breading, and the fish had been sitting around some time because it was laden in grease and even the baked potato was warm. Management, I'm giving you two stars. I am so glad I finally came here after receiving several coupons in the mail! I was a little hesitant, as it is in an older, empty--almost rural part of town, but out of desparation to find some good seafood, I went. We went the weekend of Labor day and the place (and parking lot) was packed. I almost turned around because I thought for sure there would be a massive wait. However, we were seated immediately! The staff was very friendly--always kept the drinks filled. The inside of the place looked like some kind of banquet hall in a retirement home--very bright, with white and sky blue decor. I imagine that this place is packed to death on Sundays after church! I got the fried catfish--OMG, golden, crisp, and fresh! Tastes like my mom's and that is hard to do! Hubby got the fried seafood platter--everything on that was great too! The fried clams were delish! They have all kinds of combos and the portions are huge--definitely enough leftover for lunch the next day--if you can resist picking at it when you get home! Hubby had to try the homemade Pecan Pie--he said it was to die for as well! We've been back twice and everytime the service and food is excellent. I ordered the bay breeze combo which was $17.95, plus add $1.00 for flavored batter. I was charged $2 extra, which they removed from the bill. Anyway, the seafood was extremely salty. The popcorn shrimp and fish were salty too but piping hot and fresh. The fried clam strip and fried oysters (which I don't eat), were also good. The turnip greens fell a little flat. But the hush puppy rings were decent. My main concern was the fried scallops. The batter didn't adhere to the scallops which revealed orange colored seafood. I was a little put off by that. Where exactly does one find orange scallops? My husband ordered the same platter and had the same issues. My daughter ordered the combination seafood Alfredo. The fettuccine was over cooked the dish lacked flavor. We even tried mixing my salty seafood with her meal to add flavor. I will learn from my mistakes and give this place another try. read more

Server brought a baked potato when I informed her that I did not get the veggie as ordered. Sour cream served in a pre-packaged tube. * Most in my party ordered food broiled. Do they really know how to cook it? I suspect that most of the clientele order their food fried. I wanted my Red Snapper cajun style and shrimp and scallops non-seasoned. Everything came out with a salty coating of "cajun" spice. Did not complain, just ate it. * Napkin dispenser on the table...Napkins not large enough to properly place over lap as one should do when dining. * Plastic sweeze bottles of condiments on table..imagine how unsanitary. * My father is from the South and drinks sweet tea. It was all pretty good my only issue is there is no crab in the deviled crab. It's like they stuffed the shell full of stuffing mix and left the crab out. That would be my only complaint. I visited this restaurant with my daughter on 10/28/12. I ordered a mixed platter with catfish and jumbo shrimp. It was to be my only meal of the day. Like most, I dug in first and looked secondly. What I saw when I looked down was that the catfish was still pink on the inside. The crispiness in the outside masked partially cooked seafood. The manager, Mr. Little, thought that this was the appropriate way to cook fish until I asked if we should consult other patrons to determine if he was right. It was apparent the the fish was uncooked and I was going to be sick, very sick...The manager agreed to remove the item off the bill and have me pay for my daughter's food although I refused to allow her to eat the rest of her meal after this awful experience. I have have eaten at bay breeze a couple of years ago and the food was terrific, this particular visit I ordered take out the food was horrible.The fish was soft the fries were cold and hard. I wasn't expecting the food to stay piping hot until I got home but this was awful. Maybe the cook was tired when my order came up. I contacted management regarding the three orders I purchased and he was not concerned at all. I'm not the one to complain but this was the worse experience ever.
