My wife and I have been patronizing Bay Breeze in Mableton every since they have been open. We visited there this past Saturday and our server was a young lady named Antique. She was very positive, professional, attentive and really seemed to love her job. The food has always been great every time we visit, but having Antique as our server made the food taste even better. She treated us as if we were guests in her own home and in today's society a lot of restaurants have lost the down home touch!! I rate her a 10/10! read more

I've been back to Bay Breeze a few times since 2022 and thought it would be good to update my review. The first time back was for a large dinner party to celebrate a graduation on a Sunday evening. I was impressed with how well they accomodated our large party with good customer service, but was even more shocked that the food had improved too. The highlight of my meal was fried calamari! I also ordered the Sunday special that included tenders, fish and popcorn shrimp & had enough food to take for lunch the next day. Over the weekend, I was craving some calamari, so we decided to go back for Sunday lunch around 2 PM. Our server's name was Destiny and she was very sweet. We ordered calamari appetizer, a popcorn shrimp kids meal & two pick four combos (one with broiled Alaskan white fish, one with fried flounder). I was not a fan of the clam chowder or the house salad (lettuce snob :(, iceberg was not my fave), but my husband's ceasar salad looked great (romaine was a better lettuce choice)! The fried fish was great with a little hot sauce, lemon and salt. I also loved the hush puppies. On my next visit, I'd probably do the kid's popcorn shrimp entree because you can pay a little extra to have it as an adult and it comes with a good serving of food. The calamari was also great! I do think certain things are still hit or miss (the soups, the salad, and for the classic fried fish you may need to add salt or hot sauce or try the add on seasonings such as lemon pepper or cajun), but Bay Breeze is okay in my book. read more

I love this food is really good and you get so much food for a great . You will always leave with a to go plate. Most times I share a plate and still have some for leftovers. Finally! A place that is still affordable in the age of greed-flation and price gouging. I drive past this place all the time and didn't expect it to be as busy as I did when I walked in. I had the fried shrimp which were a little overcooked (but still good) and my friend got the catfish. Both really good - I'm happy I found my new place to get a quick seafood fix. The Manager was beyond rude and disrespectful and yelled loudly when I asked him to explain why it wasn't posted on the door that the restaurant implement a new mandatory 18% dine in gratuity fee. I'm told this is a favorite place for Sunday post-church dining & it's well fitting. The food was ordered and delivered in a timely manner. I went here on a Sunday. It wasn't crowded so we were able to get seated fast. The server was friendly and the service was fast. Our food was fresh. I ordered the flounder fish sandwich, grits and baked potato. The food was good for the type of restaurant with cheap prices. I wouldn't say that it was top quality but it was decent if you're looking for somewhere to stop and eat really fast. The food was fresh , I liked the sandwich. It's been years since I've been here and it's still the same. The service was good and the ambiance was family friendly. I ordered fried oysters as an appetizer and they were cold but the food was still good. I was too hungry and too excited to tell them that it was cold. I will say that even though everything was good they don't use much seasoning so the fish is a very buttery tasting batter which is ok but tasting some sort of fish or seafood seasoning would be great. I had dinner at Bay Breeze in Mableton, GA. I've been in the past, but not since I started my blog. So I decided to do a review. I was seated immediately. I ordered a sweet tea and the First Mate's Feast. The feast came with a side of cheese grits, hush puppies (the rings), and coleslaw. The First Mate's Feast was like a half fried, half broiled plate of heavenly goodness. Fried oysters and deviled crab, broiled flounder fillet, broiled scallops, and broiled shrimp. There was a lemon wedge, which I squeezed over the broiled items. All of the broiled food was well cooked and well seasoned. The seasoning tasted like your average seafood spice. However, it was not over-spiced. You could taste the flavor of the shrimp and scallops. I'm not a huge flounder person... I'm more of a hearty fish person, like grouper or tuna, but the broiled flounder was good. The fried oysters were utterly delicious! The breading was well seasoned and crispy yet you still get that oyster flavor coming through. Oysters are one of my favorite seafoods and these do not disappoint. I was not as impressed with the deviled crab. The breading was crispy but the inside was a bit gummy. Also, not very flavorful. I got more of a bell pepper flavor than crab. Still good, but not great. As for the sides, very good. The cheese grits were cheesy and delicious. The hush puppies were nice and crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Not dry like a lot of hush puppies are. The coleslaw was average. Slightly sweet and creamy. All-in-all a good meal. The quality of the food has been consistent over the years. We ordered the 3 combo broiler selection of red snapper, perch and of course, my Man is picky, the fried jumbo shrimp. All items were seasoned and portioned nicely. However, I hear that there can be a wait. Portion size was good and the cost is affordable. About $15 for a meal. Setting - large open space, reminds me of a golden coral. Really Good I've enjoyed this place over time. We had a huge order. I asked if the person taking it had everything exactly as I repeated it. She said yes, there were was still a mixup with kids meal.
