Visited this place last night (Friday) and had a very good dinner. Our waiter was super attentive, friendly, and helpful. It wasn't packed like I thought it would be and thankfully because we were too hungry to wait lol. My mom and I both had one of the boil specials that included 2 clusters of snow crab, an infinity amount of shrimp, potatoes, corn and egg. We both elected for butter garlic and mine wasn't spicy and my mom went for the mild. Food was fresh and not overcooked. So much food and so delicious! Parking is free and ample as it shares a lot with other retailers. I would recommend for sure. read more

First time at this establishment. I had a table for 2 on a Sunday afternoon. Easy entrance and free parking. Order We got the Valentine's Day special for $77. () Pros: Nice open and inviting atmosphere. The space is fairly big. Cute and niche decor lightens the place up. The seasoning for the boil tasted good. It is more flavorful than other crab spots but less saucey. Cons: The quality of the crabs were not up to par. For the price I am paying, I expect the crab to be healthy and as fresh as can be. The crab legs were flexible (not hard and sturdy) and there were indentations and spots on the shells. Would I Recommend: No, I would not due to quality and pricing. I would rather go to Juicy Crab. Tried this new spot after riding through the Douglasville area looking for something new to try. Set up like your brick and mortar juicy crab this joint has plenty of room for Birthday dinners! The staff at this location are very attentive and make sure that you are greeted upon entry! Walking in we noticed the wait wasn't terribly long with a semi crowded dining area. AND NOW THE NITTY GRITTY ! Oyster Basket Your typical oyster basket here totaling out with 5 crisp oysters and fries. I enjoyed these babies but with less batter. Although they are fried perfectly we felt that the oysters were more breaded than anything. For the price its a great option if you need something to hold you until the rest of your order arrives . Catfish basket Catfish basket was on point and fried to perfection. The catfish are a nice size for the price packing decent flavor, a nice crunch, and accompanied with fries. Soft shell crab basket This dish would of been better if the crabs weren't like the ones they sale in the store. The size of these resembled a crab cake, but thin. Flavor was mediocre, good , but not worth the money. Shrimp with Head On & crab legs Meh - This meal wasn't comparable to juicy crab as far as flavor, but had around the same amount of of food in the bag. They give you various spice options ranging from mild to hot which was Mixed in the bag in there hand made sauce. We added eggs and potatoes ( which were tasteless) to our bag which the meal still was decent after eating it. All in all this bag totaled out at $45 which was a bit pricey for us. I've definitely tried better seafood spots. I have to give them a 2. Ordered a strawberry margarita and it was basically chunks of ice. Love that I was able to switch it but I just wonder , the person that was making the drinks were they certified? The s2 combo tasted like seafood straight out the ocean. Totally was on a mission to find some good catfish in the area and was I disappointed with what I found. Had I wanted some shrimp with sweet potato fries, I would have been better-taken care of. I wanted 3 piece of catfish with onion rings (which were extra) and what did I get? The equivalent to 2 pieces of catfish and 6 onion rings. The waitress was nice, and that's why I gave it a 3 star review. The food was slightly seasoned and the portions was really small. I have had a few crab places .5 snow crab legs, but when I say this was skimpy!!!! The corn was the only thing the regular size you'd expect. The potato was the tiniest little potato's I've ever seen used in these crab places. If you want quantity SND quality, you'd have to look elsewhere. read more

I was very disappointed with this location. My friend and I met 2 other people here that was already seated. The waiter saw us, but never came over to ask if we needed anything to drink or a menu. We eventually got her attention and asked for a menu. (Mind you, the other 2 friends already before us) At this point, I was feeling a bit uneased. She didn't ask to refill the waters. She never came back to take our order! So in the midst of us trying to flag her down, she then sends another waiter over to take care of us. She lacked attentiveness and passed her responsibilities on to someone else to do. I guess it was a plus, because the other lady was much nicer and took care of our every need. At the end of our dinner, she then decides to come over and be nice and act like she was doing her job right all night. My husband and I went here for the first time and I order the blue crab special but once my order was placed I was told that the chef sold out of the blue crabs specifically that order. I was disappointed but the two women at the front desk advised me to get another crab meal and they actually threw in additional potatoes and corn for the inconvenience. I thought my order was delicious! The flavor and seasoning were soooo good! My husband and I typically purchase our seafood from a farmers market and steam ourselves and we were not disappointed. Food: Ordered the S3 boil (I think), shrimp & crab legs, with the house sauce. They let me substitute my egg for extra corn. Sauce not too salty & the spice level was perfect. Let me day the food was tasty but it should have been, they could have caught it and cooked it in the time it took. The service was sad. At the time we arrived there was less than 10 people in the entire establishment, yet it took at least 15 minutes before someone took our order and another almost 30 for the food to arrive. Our waitress appeared to be new, so I'm going to show her a small bit of grace. The manager needs to tighten up his team. There were far too many people just standing around chatting. I'm sure there maybe a reason but it was not evident. No one came to the table to refill beverages or to offer additional mozzarella sticks or something for our unusually long wait. The ambiance was okay but I didn't come for the look, I was there for the food. My thought was to reflect my dissatisfaction in the waitress's tip, but I thought better and gave her 15%. I realized she was a victim of the workplace culture. P.S. Thanks to the young or woman who secured a coloring sheet and crayons for my granddaughter. My mom and I went into lunch and WOW. First off our server Chloe was amazing and so so sweet! We started off with steamed oysters with a side of the Cajun sauce( best thing I have tasted in a LONG time)-make sure you get the Cajun sauce!! Oysters awesome and we both got a lunch special-I got the snow crab leg combo the the tasty special sauce and I was doing the happy dance the whole time I was eating :) My mom got the baby clams and head on shrimp combo-she loved hers as well. Dear TCH.. Food not all of that!! Blu crab didn't have any seasoning on them asked for mild sauce "wasn't" asked for the dipping sauces like the other's have on the side "was charged $4.00 for it!!" Tried this place for the first time tonight. I have to say it was great. Had a dozen raw oysters on the half shell and they were very clean and excellent flavor. I also had Combo B (1 lb of shrimp and 1 lb of snow crab, with potatoes, corn, and egg). My wife had the catfish basket. 1st and foremost, our server Ambria was so awesome. She made sure we had everything we needed from the start and checked on us throughout our meal. My drink never got empty. Ask for her to be your server and you will not be disappointed!!! The food was very fresh and came out hot. The flavor was spot on and the spice was right. The fried was delicious and not greasy. You can tell that they change the oil regularly because the the fish and fries were crispy and that fresh taste. We normally go to Juicy Crab but I have to say we are making the switch to Tasty Crab. Everyone was very friendly. The fried oysters and fried shrimp were the very best I have had. I am 74 years old and have lived in FL so that is a huge compliment. Now, the raw oysters weren't very good. They were taken out of a jar and put on the shells. But, you can't go wrong with the fried oysters and shrimp. Lightly breaded and lightly fried.
