A GD joke!! Guys I drove 38 miles one way to get to Bay Breeze for my dads 80th bday. I ordered the capts platter, red snapper, loaded baked potato. Salad, 2 shrimp skewers to go. I received the shrimp platters only & salad. $98 was my total. I called the store to inform them that i did not receive all of my order. They told me it was my problem & they refused a refund or to replace the food I didn't receive. They said there's a small sign in the store that says check your food (obviously they won't) so now I'm canceling the transaction on my cc. If you're around Bay Breeze on Veterans Memorial hwy go by & order whatever & just cancel your transaction. That's the ONLY way you will receive customer service. I am deeply disappointed & will NEVER go back again. Stay away if you can. read more

Me and my family visited this establishment today to have a nice Sunday dinner, and it ended badly thanks to the server messing up everyone tickets. Also swiping before getting clarity of who is paying for what meals. Came back saying the total opposite from before. The manager did not make it no better because she came over blaming us and kelp pointing being rude about something the server messed up on!! As if we wasn't going to pay for the tab they so called went and brought back after they already given us the first tab we paid for, But I see now days they blame the customer!! When I moved to the Mableton area I discoved Bay Breeze and my first experience was fine. I've done take out a few times and stop going and didn't remember why until this past Friday evening. I got take out and ordered Alaskan White and shrimp. I saw the order when they opened the box and I should have looked a little closer. The fish was cold and appeared to be old and perhaps refried the shrimp was heavily battered and tastiness. Had I not been tied from working all day I would have taken it back. I spent $17.00 on food that wasn't inedible. American Deli does a better job with seafood and they specialize in chicken wings. Maybe dine in is the best route to go with Bay Breeze but I'm done. This review is for the take out service only! I do have intentions on going back for the dinning room and will update this review when I do. I had the craving for some fish last week and had tried Bay Breeze when they were located near the K-mart shopping center so I decided to give this location a try. They have several daily specials posted on their website www.baybreezeofatlanta.com and I would advise to check them out. Since it was a Wednesday I chose to get the Fried Whiting for $6.95. I opted for Okra as my siding. I was told to give them 20 minutes and they would have it ready. When you arrive they have a take out counter at the end of the building which is attached to the restaurant but not inside the dining area. They have parking spaces marked for take out only. I arrived a little early but they did have my order ready to go. Of course they open the box so that you are able to check your order before leaving. Everything looked good and the portions were HUGE! I was considering adding a side salad but once they showed me all of that food I knew I would struggle to get it all down. The special also comes with coleslaw and what looks like onion rings but are actually hush puppies. Pretty good food and looking forward to going back to visit the dinning area. read more

Plain and simple, every time I try to inquire about whether the fish/seafood is farm raised or fresh they give me different responses. The crab legs had the stringy pleural membrane looking coating all along the meat. I'm used to crab legs and dungess crab in SF so I'm a bit spoiled but I will appreciate a hood fish fry place if it's worth it. This was not that so I will not appreciate anything about this place. Since it seems like it's Greek owned I'm assuming the seafood is cheap farm raised stuff...I shouldn't be presumptuous but amygdala is going off in my brain. I will flight from this place. Food has went down recently, and the service is not far behind. Went in October 25, 2014 around 3:30PM. A testament to how the food has become 'mainstream' ... there were only about 20 tables filled. When I first went there 5 years ago, the place would be PACKED and you would have to wait to be seated. We first got a Veggie Combo and some Peach Lemonade. The Veggie Combo was ok, but is very bland now. At least it was hot, temperature wise. We then ordered some combos and the food tasted like some Captain D's we had the night before. That was pretty disappointing when we came to that conclusion. Yet, what has made me write the review is the service. The women at the front have gotten to the point where they don't greet you any more. We sat down, were served, and got our appetizers. Service was decent until then, but then she started to disappear until one of the people from the back brought our entrees. By the time I was in the middle of taking a third bite, the waitress had already brought our bill. Really ... already brought the bill. I guess she was too busy to want to serve people all the way because she had already moved on to the next table. I then had to flag her down to give me a box for my food and refill my empty drink. We then proceeded to walk out and didn't get as much as a look as we walked out. The women at the front 'desk' were too busy talking in a big group about nothing like the waitresses to notice. I guess I don't pay two times as much as Captain D's or Long Johns to get no acknowledgment in or out of the establishment. Update, 10/16/2016 went back. Same garbage. Amy is garbage. Update 2/12/2017 Shawn is WONDERFUL! ASK FOR HER BY NAME! And make sure to tip her well... she does this as well as it can be done. The restaurant is owned by 2 Greek brothers that specialize in giving super generous portions for the prices charged. The facility itself was once a Ryan's Family Steakhouse but with their drastic revamping, you would never know otherwise. The restaurant can entertain sizable groups as well since they have a private dining room or one that provides a sense of privacy. Even though I have lived in Mableton prior to the restaurant moving into this location, I was introduced to the place by ministers from out of the immediate area. One minister friend had already driven 45 miles to eat there on several occasions. Bottom line, I have never had a bad experience at Bay Breeze. The only mishap was due to human error whereas I was given more Tilapia than shrimp as I had thought the staff was informed on a take out order. I did eat there earlier this week and will do so again without hesitation when the idea comes up. My daughters were not crazy about seafood the first couple of times we took them there but now that they will eat seafood, they can appreciate how good the food is as well. Although it may seem that the bulk of the menu items are fried, they indeed have seafood offered any way you prefer to have it. I understand that there are other locations in other states as well and can only wonder if the entire fleet is this good. I have been even more amazed to hear my wife tell me that her coworkers drive from the opposite side of Atlanta just to eat at Bay Breeze. This was a very nice find in Mableton. I thought that I had left all the good food spots in the city when I became a suburbanite, so I was excited to find this place. First, it is very clean. Second, the first time I went, it was packed (always a good sign). The crowd was pretty diverse - all kinds of folks like this place. My honey and I have had several dishes and items between us from Bay Breeze - perch, catfish, shrimp, hush puppies, etc. - we like it all! One of my favorites is the shrimp fettuccine alfredo. I like to chase it with a piece of key lime pie. This is a solid spot in Mableton and we go here often. read more

I ate here today since it is located perhaps ten minutes drive from my new (okay 3 months now) office. Still as good as ever. Reminds me of how Red Lobster used to be Way Back In The Day (when it was my favorite restaurant as a kid). I like to caution this place may not suit everyone's tastes. This joint is like a small town Southern (Florida) fish house (circa Daytona Beach outskirts). The best way to go is with the fried platters here (with perhaps the sole exception of the broiled scallops platter). I always opt for the baked potato and slaw. Hush puppies are in the shape of rings (don't confuse them with onion rings). Today I opted for the "Super Lunch Special" which consists of a generous portion of popcorn shrimp, two chicken tenders, and one deviled crab. Plus the aformentioned sides. Went here today for lunch. It wasn't half bad! Looks like it musta been a Ryan's Steakhouse in its previous life. I've been eating at Bay Breeze since I moved nearby and their seafood blows Red Lobster's imitation seafood out of the water! After eating at Bay Breeze once I swore I would never eat at a crappy Red Lobster again. This place was smart to open a second location in Douglasville, right next to a Red Lobster. The JUMBO shrimp are my favorite item on the menu. They are HUGE, delicious and always filling. (In comparison again to Red Lobster, the last time I ate at RL I sent my shrimp back because they were HORRIBLE and inedible.) The sweet tea is just right, the portions are perfect - even the grilled chicken is good, which says a lot when it's a seafood restaurant. I know a lot of other people who have eaten here, and it's on my short list of nearby places to feed guests. DISGUSTED is how I'm feeling with this particular Bay breeze location. I've frequented this location as well as others on many occasions over the years however with my most recent encounter I am quite disappointed with how the manager Rakeem handled my problem with my order. As you can tell per the provided photo I encountered a extra surprise, a bug fried into my hush puppy, in my order once I got home. My boyfriend being upset as well called ahead,while I was in route back to the restaurant to return my order, to explain the issue to Rakeem. Once I arrived I asked for the manager whom was spoken to over the phone but never got the chance to speak with him nor did I receive an apology for the inconvenience. Love it! Love it! Love it! Also have visited what I think is a 'sister' location in Douglasville, GA called 'Sea Breeze' on Hwy 5 across from the KFC. Definite huge portions and the jumbo shrimp are some of the best I have had! I always wonder how they can do this and wonder if the fish is from some fish farm that we have all seen on the news. YUCK! Nevertheless, I have been there and to the one in Douglasville, time and time again! The plate is loaded, so I always have to move things onto my napkin or ask for a small plate to make room and move things around. Great catfish. 4.5 stars The seafood at this is place almost as good as it gets in Atlanta. The food is fresh and very very good. I like that you can order the fried platters in two different sizes and no matter what, it's always plentiful. The hush puppies are sinful and the cole slaw is decent. This place was just ok for me I didn't enjoy it because almost everything they had was fried and it wasn't many options to get unless you wanted a huge fried seafood platter. If you want anything upscale like lobster or crab legs don't come to this restaurant lol this was kind of on a low budget end comparable to a red lobster or something like that but I like red lobster better Bc of the cheddar bay biscuits! I have eaten at Bay Breeze a couple of times, and I have to say that I am not impressed. If you like deep fried everything, then this may be your joint. If you just love you some grease, this is your kind of place. Don't get me wrong, I have grown up in the south my whole life and so Crisco is in my blood. But this place just smells like a heart attack waiting to happen. The food overall is ok. This is just a step up from Captain D's. It is nothing special. Prices are good, especially considering the portion sizes. However, one complaint that I have here is that you cannot switch sides. So if it comes with cole slaw (theirs is disgusting, btw), then you are stuck with the coleslaw. Their hushpuppies are frozen weirdly shaped rubbery things that they deep fry. I have had the crab legs (which were small and a little over cooked), the broiled flounder which was just bleh, and the whole fried catfish (which was the best thing I ate there). My husband has always had a variety of fried seafood, particularly the Captain's platter. We both agree that everything is always just okay and nothing extraordinary and that they could really work on improving their sides and making everything a little less greasy. Last but not least, I have to talk about the service. Every time that we have ever eaten at Bay Breeze, we have servers who have no idea the contents of the food or the menu. So if they have a particular type of soup and we ask what is in it, they have no clue and have to go ask. Also, every time we have servers who are nice, but are clearly either new at restaurant service or just really bad servers. Overall, if you are a foodie, I would advise to skip Bay Breeze. If you love you some Long John Silvers and want to fancy it up a bit, Bay Breeze was meant for you! read more

Brought my mom here for her birthday Friday and it was really nice. My first time being at Bay Breeze and I loved it. The wait for our food was longer than I would've wanted but they were really busy so I didn't make a big deal of it. Besides, I hadn't eaten anything none that day so that's probably why I was in such a hurry lol. My waiter had good customer service and he was patient. I Love Bay Breeze. The seafood there is Delicious! You get huge portions and won't have to spend a lot of money. I had family in town last week and treated them to Bay Breeze for dinner. I purchased meals for 5 people and only spent $50.00. Everyone loved their selection and we even had food left over. We ordered a Grilled Shrimp and Tilapia meal which as awesome and Jumbo Fried Shrimp, Chicken Tenders and Fried Perch. All great choices. I have been to this location & the dining room in Marietta. I prefer the Veterans Memorial location. The portions are enormous. Most of the fare is deep fried & it is cooked fast. Delicious. Mixed drinks are "eh" so stick to tea or your favorite beer. read more

We got salads after our entrees, she never came to check on us, and would see her every 10-15 mins in the dinning area but other than that she was no where to be found. The food was mediocre are best. Customer service overall was terrible and other servers had the same thoughts about her.
