I don't understand all these positive reviews. This place makes the most awful breads I have tasted. Dense and tasteless. I have tried breads from other cheaper and smaller bakeries and there were by far superior. We also bought a chocolate mousse cake and it looked good. But I was served disappointment when I was served a slice of that cake. It was just sprinkled with cheap chocolate sprinklers and just a glaze on top. But the inside, my tongue was searching for chocolate. There was NO chocolate whatsoever in the 'mousse', it was just a beige coloured 'mousse' and the sponge was white and wayyyyy too sweet. The only thing I could taste was SUGAR. So much for $18? I still don't know what to do with that horrible tasting bread. This isn't the first time I am disappointed by this place. But as a buyer this was my first experience. read more

This bakery is AMAZINGGGGG. I haven't been disappointed and i have been a customer for about 5 years and they are super friendly. They are a family owned business and they pride themselves in quality. They also remember who their frequent customers are and show their appreciation with small gestures once in a while which is super nice especially when businesses are lacking in customer appreciation these days in my opinion. This was the only pastry spot open on Easter Sunday and I needed my sugar fix again. The pastries were on point especially the chocolate cannoli. Only problem I had was that it was crowded being the only place open, so I felt pressured to order quickly from other customers because the line just kept growing. We made a last minute trip to the bakery to pick up sweets for a dinner party. And settled on their fruit tart. Unfortunately, the smaller size was sold out leaving us with the large 8" tart. It was worth the price for the abundant amount of fruits on top and wide crust. They don't skimp out on the fruit at all- blueberries, strawberries, boysenberries, peaches, pineapples, kiwis, yum! It was light and delicious. The crust was perfect. Def will come back for their tarts again on our next trip. read more

1st and lady time I'll go there! Went to pick up cakes for my husbands nameday (Kostas) and thought I'd give it a try! Big mistake!! Everything I got with the exception of Moustokouloura was simply mediocre. My husband loves kok and was so happy I found them. Their taste was a different story!! Instead of the vanilla cream they had whipped cream which made them really gross!! Baklava cheesecake didn't taste like either! Not baklava and certanly not cheesecake . A weird mixture of flavors. The best I had was at Omonia cafe! Carrot cake looked fresh but the flavor was blah!! So disappointed it's not even funny! I'm in the restaurant business myself and under no circumstances do I just slam a business, but this is really attrocious!! The place looked busy but they had a really old and disgusting fruit tart in the refrigerator that looked like it was coming apart or it was DAYS old. The worst pignoli and rainbow cookies I've ever had. The pignoli was soggy and overly sweet, left a bad after taste. The canoli was soggy. A lot of the cookies are just out in the open and uncovered. I got my 50th Birthday cake here. Two-tier, fondant, sponge cake, cannoli and chocolate filling. Decorated with stars. It was beautiful and delicious. Even people who don't normally eat cake had some (because everyone else was raving) and enjoyed it. Several people asked for that second sliver so they could have some more. When I was placing the order the baker told me " a lot of people don't like fondant." But since it was my birthday I decided to get what I wanted. I'm glad I did. I could not be happier with the cake. I had actually only asked for white cake so the sponge cake was a surprise - but I'm really, really happy that was the cake because it was delicious. I also ordered my daughter's bridal shower cake here two years ago. Three tiers, traditional icing flowers all around. As girlie as it gets. Couldn't be happier with it.
