Absolutely the worst service. Our Chevy Camaro has been at this dealership for over 18 days due to a serious transmission issue between 7th and 8th gear at highway speeds, and they have completely failed to diagnose or fix the problem. The mechanic refused to take the car to the legal speeds necessary to replicate the issue--despite the fact that there are multiple highways nearby (such as I-95, Garden State Parkway, and I-87) where the speed limit is 65 mph. If the mechanic refuses to drive the car at the required speed, it's either because he's too lazy to do his job or because he already knows the car isn't safe to drive and doesn't want to admit it. Either way, we are left without a working vehicle and no real answers. To make matters worse, we escalated the issue to the General Manager, who was not only completely unhelpful but also condescending throughout the conversation. Instead of taking the situation seriously, he tried to turn this into a sales opportunity rather than actually fixing the problem we already have. We have formally requested all paperwork related to my car's sale, service, and the mechanic's refusal to diagnose the issue properly (which we have not yet received). If this dealership won't take accountability, we will escalate further. Avoid this place at all costs unless you want to be ignored, mistreated, and left with an unresolved vehicle issue. read more

What an extremely terrible experience at this location. I worked with Aaron for a Trailblazer. We negotiated and ironed out the details for about 3 hours and I was supposed to pick up my vehicle a day later. They had me put a $1000 deposit down to hold the car since they were getting it from another location. Aaron would not disclose to me what my taxes and fee's would be even though I asked multiple times. Next day comes, and I don't hear anything about when to pick up my vehicle. Half a day goes by and I reach out, after multiple attempts to reach my salesperson I finally get through and am told my car wouldn't be ready that day but it will be the next day. Again, next day rolls around, terrible communication AGAIN. I was finally told they confirmed a pick up time for the car after I called the dealership directly. I show up to the dealership hours after they were supposed to pick up the car and they still don't have the car and now are saying "it's being held at a port". Stabilizer Traction Lowe Battery Electrical issues I honestly believe they did something funny to start having all different issues now. They told me they REPLACED battery, censor & alternator Low battery still happens, stabilizer lights still come on. Brake lights get EXTREMELY hot. Check engine light comes on, brought it back next day and they said they did a diagnostic and my catylist converter is no good and needs to be replaced. NOT TRUE - I brought it to another repair shop and it was DIRTY GAS They put a cleaner in gas tank and what do you know, after driving a little and filling my tank up like they said to do - NO MORE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT and converter is fine. I was getting Leary with all these things still happening after they SUPPOSEDLY fixed everything and I PAID for it. Original price was like $2700.00 and the service guy said, I will help you out and bring it to $1600 - SOME HELP that was especially since the prices are very high. Thank you Francisco for responding to my post but I am a strong believer that actions speak louder then words. The phone number you provided me with was the main phone number of the Bay Ridge dealership. After navigating threw the automated system for the for that dealership I was able to get a sales person on the phone. I asked if I could speak with Francisco and he replied that you only come into that dealership once a month and you were not there. I asked how I could get in touch with him and he put me on an extensive hold to ask his manager. When he returned he said that I could try and message you on Facebook. I told him I did not have Facebook. I left my number and asked if someone could please call me back with his contact information. It is now three days later since that phone call and no one has contacted me back. I believe your response to my post was nothing more then a ploy to save face and put up the illusion that Bay Ridge Chevrolet cares about customers satisfaction. Anyone who is considering doing business with this dealership should take their business elsewhere. They employ predatory/shady business practices. My only hope is that I could save someone parents or grandparents from being taken advantage of. Update: After posting this Francisco called me from an unidentifiable number and tried to convince me that after speaking to the General Manager that these were in fact legitimate charges. Advantage Chevrolet All I can say to anybody considering utilizing the service department at this dealership is to GO SOMEWHERE ELSE - unless you are VERY skilled in automotive and are prepared to diagnose your own car, then actually get in touch with the service manager to MAYBE get your vehicle in and serviced appropriately.  You have to hold them by the hand to help them understand the problem with the vehicle and how to fix it. I live in the area but can never come back to this dealership again for service.  In January 2023, I noticed a buzzing sound in my back window whenever it was raining. Neil and the service department claimed they couldn't duplicate the issue.   I had to bring my vehicle back several times to try to figure out the issue (this was buzzing electricity and NOT SAFE) and ultimately diagnosed a (known issue) rear window leak on my 2020 Silverado.  I finally managed to get the window replaced (under warranty) six weeks later. Not even five months later, the leak is back and FAR WORSE!  It appears my new rear window was not seated or sealed correctly (you can actually see that it's a bit crooked).  The dealership immediately asked me to produce a receipt they never gave me even though THEY did the work and had all of my vehicles records.  I ended up getting GM corporate involved and the window is again being replaced.  (by a different dealership I swear by called West Herr Chevrolet in BUFFALO NY - yes you read correctly...) Even if you have a service appointment, be prepared to wait.  Your appointment will not be honored and the service rep Neil will always have the excuse that they are "swamped" Neil never returns phone calls will avoid you.  They will hold your vehicle (even with appointment) for several days before even looking at it (I have cameras in my truck so I observed this) and FYI - they have ZERO loaners. Neil is a schmoozer who could sell a snowball to an eskimo. If you MUST go here for service, see Peter instead. He at least cares about his customers and will do what he says he is going to do.  Neil should be avoided at all costs. In a completely separate issue I recently experienced there, I once brought in my truck complaining of belt noise.  Neil said there was nothing wrong with the belt (even though my girl and I could see visible wear on it). When I finally (again) brought my vehicle to West Herr Chevrolet they couldn't believe the condition of the belt and that the Advantage claimed there was nothing wrong with it.  The belt failed all tests and was immediately replaced (under warranty, by West Herr) I WILL SOONER have my vehicle send TO BUFFALO (in fact, my vehicle is there now) than to ever attempt to go to this service department even though it is local to me.  Avoid at all costs...you've been warned! I went to Bical Chevrolet in Nassau county, left with my brand new 2021 traverse out the door with the platinum extended warranty for 50,000 72 months 0% APR they didn't try to pull the bait and switch that this dealership did. Went in with my wife to lease a car and walked out with no car and credit card charges for about $6k. Agreed upon a deal with the salesperson but when he came back with a bill and a credit card charge of over $1,100 more than we agreed upon, I told him no deal. The manager Mr. Gallo came in and spoke to me like I was a child and kept getting loud and telling me to prove it that I made the deal I did with the salesperson. This guy is a real thug. Purchased a used car in 2023 from here. Found it on line, thank God I called ahead and put a deposit on the vehicle, almost got sold. The whole experience buying the car was ridiculous, we were there over 5 hours. But it gets better. They didn't have the second key. Sure they gave me a "we owe" slip but without that they have no record. Due to the location it wasn't convenient to come in an get a new key made. Well I made an appointment and made my way in. I asked if they had a noon appointment. Sure see you then. When i arrived I found out all the service team were at lunch! Why wouldn't you inform the customer, I can make the appointment however they take lunch from 12-1 is that a problem- nothing!!! Then I'm told they have to order the key and it will take 5 days to come in! It took me over 2 hours in traffic to come in to tell me they need to order a key! Unacceptable! I asked - not the service rep- to check if there's one in stock. That had one, but I still had to wait for the service team to return from lunch. The service manager said the sales manager should have called and said the key was in! I kept asking if the Chevy dealership 5 min away could do it, but I'd have to pay full price. You'd think it being the dealerships fault they'd say we'll cover the key ( which they are) and programming at the closer one. But no. Total garbage. I took my car in to repair the power windows and locks, and get an air conditioning recharge. They couldn't figure out how to fix the locks two weeks later. They also did some recall repairs which resulted in them totally destroying my steering column to the point where it needed replacing. This then took them an additional five weeks to repair, which they did and left a small leak in my windshield. Also somewhere along the line they broke the trunk release, probably while taking two weeks to try to fix the power locks. Then when I tried to ask for a partial refund, they screamed at me over the phone. Ed D'Amato was a terrible service adviser, his supervisor was terrible, and this dealership is terrible. Took my Chevy Cruze to Bay Ridge Chevrolet for a routine oil change. Calling ahead to set an appointment time was simple, and the receptionist was very helpful. I inquired about oil change, tire rotation, and the multi-point inspection special that every other GM dealership had offered me (especially as a new customer). They agreed over the phone to do the oil change for $49.99. When I came to check in, this is where things went south and semi-shady. One of the managers was upset that I had been given the $49.99 oil special, complained that the margins off the Dexxos synthetic weren't that high, and that they couldn't rotate the tires (would be an additional fee). Not asking for backflips and balloons, just a little more appreciation. Fair enough, I would just wait in the lounge area while it was being serviced. When it came time to check out, the customer service rep was taking his time and trying to upsell me parts/services that weren't needed. Item by item, everything from charging parts and labor for windshield wipers to brake jobs, the dealership became the "stealership". Even after I had repeated that I had an indy mechanic that could help me replace the parts, it felt like a never ending negotiation session. I've been a lifelong buyer and supporter of GM cars and trustworthy mechanics that give helpful advice to properly maintenance a car. I like to give local businesses a fair shake and don't always rely on rogue/disgruntled Yelpers. I would like to thank The service department at Bayridge Chevy for making my 2021 Camaro right again. I unfortunately had some bad luck with my first service on the vehicle. My maintenance indicator was at 5% and I took it to the local Chevrolet dealership in Staten Island all that was required was an oil change. I left with a bad alignment, and after multiple attempts to try to get the alignment right they were not able to make it the way I gave them vehicle. I contacted Chevrolet they suggested Bayridge Chevrolet after meeting with Peter Caleca he had asked me to leave the car and they will look into it, a few hours later he contacted me and told me the alignment was off, they had corrected it and that the vehicle is ready to be picked up. To my surprise they had the vehicle ready freshly washed and Peter had told me if I had any issues just to contact him immediately I felt very confident leaving the dealership that my vehicle was whole again, my vehicle drove as it did prior to my experience with Island Chevrolet, my car is now perfect again, as it should be for a vehicle with 4000 miles on it. My boyfriend is an owner of 2012 Camaro SS 45 6.1 L V8 and he has kept this car in a perfect condition, the car has run only 35,000 miles. For the first time ever he decided to visit a proper dealership and check the car just to make sure it was fine, even though he knew it needed only oil change. They checked his car in this dealership and CONFIRMED it was in perfect condition, but advised to clean the throttle body and break fluid system for $500. You know how the guys at such places can make you believe you need some service even if you don't need it. So they cleaned the throttle body and ever since the car has not been operating properly at all! The throttle body is not responding to the car the way it's supposed to. He had to leave his car with them for THREE times after that and they NEVER fixed the problem! Moreover, they were acting as if it was his fault. This is absolutely unacceptable. Why do we have to spend our time and money for such service?! Three times he had to go back to them and still the throttle body is NOT fixed. After Bay Ridge Chevrolet told me that they were ready to do the work on my Bolt EV, I brought my car in to have the recalled battery replaced. That was 5/1/23. The service manager will no longer return my calls, and meanwhile I'm already out over $1K in car rental costs. I have no idea when I'll have my car back. I should charge THEM rental fees! It takes less time to BUILD a car than it does for them to replace a faulty battery. Guess I'll have to show up with my lawyer. This dealership Bay Ridge Chevrolet of Brooklyn is not reliable nor professional. My daughter 24, who resides in NY, went into this dealership on the 24 of October to return her current lease (due back on the 1st of November with a ten-day grace period) and lease a new vehicle. Bay Ridge is not the dealership she purchased the vehicle from but is a GM dealership where it can be returned. On this day, she signed the paperwork and put down a deposit to place the vehicle on hold. The dealership Bay Ridge Chevrolet of Brooklyn needed to complete the paperwork with me in Chicago to complete the sale. This portion would take between 3-5 days due to the fact the papers had to be sent to me overnight and send back to them. Once they received the paperwork, my daughter was informed she could pick up her new vehicle on that Thursday, 31st of October. However, they call saying she could not pick the vehicle up due to them unable to solidifying the transfer of her plates. Now days are passing, and they called promising she could pick up the vehicle on Saturday, November 9th. My daughter arrives at Bay Ridge Chevrolet to pay her remaining down payment and pick her new vehicle. When she arrived, she called me, I drop her current vehicle and adds the new vehicle to our insurance. Three hours later, they informed my daughter they sold the vehicle we had signed the contracted, insured, and place down payment/deposit. The dealership refused to give her a vehicle that day because they did not have the vehicle; they even declined to provide her with a loaner car. We asked that they contact another dealership to secure a vehicle on Saturday, and they refused. Also, the dealership did not allow her to return her current lease vehicle. In addition to the new vehicle they promised, we asked that they offer her two years or a year of free oil changes due to the significant delay of my daughter driving off with a vehicle; also, they sold the vehicle they contracted with us. The only thing they offered to rectify their major screw up was a slight upgrade to the all-wheel drive and a car wash. Then promised her Monday, November 11, she will be delivered her vehicle, and they would pick up the existing lease. Monday, they inform her they could not deliver the vehicle and pick up the current lease due to liability, my daughter is now forced to return once again to pick up a vehicle. When she arrives, they finally have a vehicle for her to drive away with 83 miles on it. This entire ordeal was shady and similar to a car hostage situation. They placed my daughter and me in a bind because they allowed so many days to pass, we had missed her original lease return date and extension with GM. How can a dealership have a signed contract and deposit on any vehicle and sell it to someone else? How many people have they put through this? Crooks! Crooks! Crooks! Stay away from this dealership! Over 3 weeks and still waiting for them to issue refunds to my credit card! I would have given them NO STAR except this option in not available here. Made a deal on a used car. Greg, my salesman outlined ALL the additional fees associated with the purchase price, told me the price for an extended warranty, assured me there are NO other fees to deal with. Price was based on me having to finance some of the purchase price, ( turns out that by financing, they get a kick back from the financial institution for bringing an approved loan in), after going through the approval process, getting approved, giving them deposits on Credit card, signing the loan papers and other documents, we get to the contract that shows total price of the car, and somehow the price "jumped" way HIGHER THAN AGREED!!! Yes, suddenly a "bank acquisition" fee of $2450 was added to the price WHICH WAS NEVER MENTIONED by either sales person Greg, nor the used car manager Ali, or the finance manager Vincent. When questioned, all 3 claimed that that is a routine fee, which for the record, was never brought up until after most forms were signed... also extended warranty prices went up in price and down in time period from what Greg quoted me and what Vincent was trying to sell us. Needless to say that I had to cancel the transaction, after sitting there for 2.5 hours like a moron, feeling abused, upset, disappointed, tired, stressed , and being cheated!!! I asked them to refund the $6000 In credit card deposits that I had given them and they claimed that refund will be issued the next day as it can not be issued the same day. By the way, knowing how credit card processing works, it would have been very simple for them to just CANCEL the cc transaction, but they are so DESPERATE for the deposit they took from me that they did not issue the refund on the same day and as of now , three weeks after this whole event, they STILL did not issue refunds to the credit cards! Had to open a dispute with cc company, despite of the fact that I had spoken to Ali and other people there, all claiming that refund was processed, and so far nothing! Very horrific experience!!! It's a shame how a large dealer like this one is so desperate to make money and the way they do it is by screwing customers by raising prices and hoping to get away with it! I can not for the life of me, figure out how the reviews for this place are sub par. I went there for the first time this week. I needed a tune up and new front tires. I am headed on a long road trip and thought dealing with the actual dealership would be a good idea. It turned out to be an excellent idea. I dealt with Neil. He is the service manager. He is one of the most down to earth and real people you ever want to deal with. He treated my car as though it was his own. He checked my car with a fine comb. He was honest about what my car needed, and the things I could wait on. He and his crew did an incredible job. I came back to a car, not only cleaned inside and out, but most of all it drove the same exact way it did when I bought it new 5 years ago. Worst car buying experience I've ever had. Brand new 2018 Chevy Tahoe Premier damaged at the dealership before I even got off the lot by dealership - before I ever signed paper work or even left the lot. I want to walk at this point, who wants a damaged new car? But this is the last 2018 Tahoe that qualifies for 0% financing. I'm iffy, I dont want a damaged new car....... BayRigde chevy "we'll replace everything damaged with genuine GM parts." I'm still iffy. BayRigde chevy "we'll give you a "we owe" slip detailing the parts to be REPLACED. So they actually give me an official "we owe" sheet. Written in black and white detailing they'll replace damaged parts. I agree, everything is in black and white. So I sign the deal. Leave my 2015 Tahoe with 9,760 miles as a trade in for a loaner Malibu because my brand new Tahoe needs to be fixed before I even drove it 1 mile. 5 days later they call me your car is ready. I get to the dealership. They only replaced the glass, not the tailgate. The Tahoe had only been sent to a body shop. Im like I have a "we owe" that says tailgate to be replaced. Danny Meyer takes my "we owe" and crosses out "dealer to replace tailgate" and says I would never have agreed to that. Tells me I need to speak to my original salesman about that. My salesmen isn't there. Ok but where's my license plate holder? Oh I'll get you one. Ok whats this glue residue on the door? Whats with this scratch on the door. Oh sorry I'll give you a "we owe" for the scratch on door and we'll repair molding on door. So I leave. Turns out they didn't put temp registration on the car either. 4 days I'm driving around without registration and didn't realize it. Bring Tahoe back to dealer for more work. They keep it for another 3 days. At this point my new Tahoe has been in the shop longer than I've owned it. Trial Onstar wifi for the kids being used up by the dealer. So now all damaged "repaired" not replaced. They wont honor they're own "we owe" and replace the tailgate. Offer me free car washes for my inconvenience. Really? GM gets involved and calls dealer on my behalf. But Bay Ridge Chevy still wont offer me another Tahoe nor will they give me my 2015 Tahoe back. In the end dealer offers a check for $500 and GM offers $500 in accessories. General manager Bobby Soriano tells me cars always get damaged from factory and he has to eat the cost of repairing them. So I guess he feels he should pass that on to his customers. I say but what about your "we owe" stating you'd replace tailgate...nothing. I would never have agreed to the deal without the "we owe" that they then didn't honor. Not what I wanted or expected from 65K+ car buying experience. I feel tricked. They are the definition of shady double talking car salesman, stay away. This was my 3rd SUV. Yukon, Tahoe, Tahoe - but if GM thinks I'll ever buy another car from them - think again. So I leased an Equinox 3 yrs ago. Marcos was my salesperson. Several months ago I went to try to lease a Trax for my son & Marcos proceeded to tell me it would be $400/month. Needless to say I laughed & left. We got a Honda HR-V for under $250/mo & my son is thrilled. Called yesterday to inquire about a new Equinox lease & spoke with Hector. So as you can see a Francisco Cefalu requested I reach out to him on this site and left a phone number to call and when I called the number I was told he does not work there and was given what was supposedly his cellphone number which I have called numerous times and left messages and have had no response to date so I'm not sure if this is tactic in which this company responds to these complaints on this site to make it seem they are interested in their customers but do not respond to phone calls and messages left. Not sure. Just saying. I will update if anyone responds just to be fair. Actually Mr Cefalu. What you are stating is 100% incorrect. I actually indicated on the paperwork where it asks do you understand all of the charges I checked off No since I didn't agree or understand all the bogus charges. I of course signed and paid for the bill because what was i to do? Walk out and not pay ? I figured I'd just warn people so they don't suffer the same fate. Maybe you guys would change your practices. With that said I was under the impression that since YOU reached out to me on this site you actually wanted to help me understand the unexplainable charges. I had a squeak coming from the wheel well from my new vehicle and took it in to get looked at. I had to bring the vehicle back 3 times because it kept coming back, but eventually they basically had to remove the fuel tank to access some springs/dampeners. Each time I thought the service was exceptional, and while I was frustrated that I had to keep coming back for the same problem, Bert and the mechanics were very patient and professional. I call the service department 3 times today and all 3 times the lady answer the phone and say please hold without giving me a chance to say if I can hold of not, this is not proper customer service training and if she was properly trained she would have known not to answer the phone and say please hold and then put the customer on hold without giving the caller an opportunity to reply, that was very annoying and unprofessional to me so I call another dealer to have my car service. read more

I knew that this was going to be a bad one when I sent an inquiry about a Camaro specifically requesting pricing and I got an email back saying "Vroom Vroom, how about a test drive?" I am a fairly well seasoned car shopper and I always make sure to know what the current manufacturer incentives are, as well as the current leasing programs that the manufacturer is offering. I do all of this so I can calculate my own leases and just worry about negotiating sales price/dealer discount. I also prefer to do all of this via email so I can avoid the typical dealership/stealership sales tactics. This dealer is another one to avoid like the plague. Refuses to give out pricing or quotes via email, and if they do give you anything it will just be a number pulled out of their ass. When pressed for specifics they will just flat out lie to you. I was told that the pricing I wanted wasn't realistic because "the rates are high". Keep in mind that at the time of writing this the money factor (lease interest rate) for a Camaro LT1 is 0.00028, or the equivalent of 0.67% APR. That's among the lowest interest rates you will find on a GM leasing program. When called out on it and asked to disclose the rate they didn't respond at all. I'm all for fair and honest negotiations and sometimes a particular dealer can't/won't do a deal for whatever reason. That's totally fine! There's almost always one that will do the deal if you're willing to shop around. What I take issue with is a dealer who will attempt to lie to a customer who has all the correct information and has made that clear to them. Think about how much they will lie to and take advantage of the customers who DON'T know any better. read more

Bay Ridge Chevy is the reason I made this Yelp Account. After shopping around for months debating between different models, I purchased the 2019 Chevy Impala Premier. After a few months, 6 months to be exact, the Check Engine Line went off. I immediately drove 2 miles to Bay Ridge Chevy to get It serviced. What a operation they have.....They take your car (Downstairs into their Labyrinth ) and invite into a cubical to discuss your troubles. I told the guy my check-engine light is on and wanted to know what the problem was. He reassures me why vehicle is new and they will get to the bottom of it. What he MEANT TO SAY IS GIVE US 8 HOURS , TELL YOU YOU ARE NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY, OH BUT THATS OK WE HAVE SOMETHING CALLED A GOOD FAITH CREDIT WE WILL REPLACE YOUR EVAP SYSTEM----WHICH SHOULD COST 400 FOR 70 JUST FOR YOU. 70 to correct the problem not a bad compromise. After hours of waiting , and hours of meaningless banter my car if brought back upstairs. Hungry and in need of caffeination I drive to a restaurant a few miles away. After finding a parking space////guess what comes on ....You guessed it the check engine light. But heres the real kicker. I take my car to an actual mechanic, a mechanic who works for the city who specializes in fixing chevy and ford cars. He opens the hood and after 20 mins tells me nothing was changed on the car. None of the components were changed and he suspects the check engine light was simply reset as a means to make me happy. My advice, if you are lucky enough to find this review before going to bay ridge chevy is BRING YOUR LAWYER, BRING YOUR MECHANIC, BRING YOUR REGIONAL REP, BRING EVERYONE TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOT BEING GIVEN THE SHORT END OF THE STICK. First and last time going to this business. The absolute worst customer service ever. I took my car there on 8/3/19 at 7:45am. They only schedule one service person on that day (very smart). I told them I will wait for the car thinking they could diagnose and fix the car in a timely manner since I was there so early. I ended up leaving Bay ridge Chevrolet minutes to 5pm. They were numerous customers coming in but the one service guy could barely keep up. Whomever made that schedule should be ashamed of themselves. The receptionist was there before I even came and their was no one to relieve her mind you she was scheduled until 5. The girl couldn't eat her lunch which was trying to do at the reception area. How are these employees treated like that? Anyway I was told that I needed a module to repair fix the issue with my car and that I should bring it back Tuesday 8/6/19 and they will work on it right away. I brought the care in around 8:30am at had a 9:30 appt. I get a call at 5pm when I get off work on my way to get my car telling me they had bad news. My car won't be ready until 8/7/19 because their computers went down and they couldn't program the module. Mind you I was told by the manager when I showed up at the office that the system went down around lunch time. My question was, why didn't someone call me sooner. I rely on my car for the type of work I do so me getting a call when I'm on the way to pick it up lacks professionalism in every way. When I show up at 5:20 or so the service guy Eddie is already gone. I ask to speak the manager who wasn't really any help. She told me I didn't pay for the labor and installation when I indeed make a full payment of $675 on the Saturday I was there. She called Ed who was saying I said i would not pay anything additional. The part was over $400, he charged $310 for labor (which the repair wasn't done at the time), he charged taxes all came up to 800 and something dollars. The diagnostics testing was $168 dollars which I told they will put towards the repair since I was doing the work with them. The manager kept insisting I didn't and that she will have to eat the cost. If I don't work for this company how would I know labor and installation would be $310 if i was charged that. I paid the entire total on that Saturday. I told Eddie i didn't want any issues when i came back to pick up my car so make sure to put I paid in full on the receipt which he did. He said you won't have no problems(guess what, I had an issue). I can't really blame him for f-ing up the receipt because he was the only one working that day and they were lots of customers and mechanics etc. he had to deal with back and forth. He was overwhelmed so shit happens. I asked them if they had a loner car they can give me and was told they don't have any available since they were all out. How was I going to get home since I live so far from the location I didn't know. You think the manager would say because of the inconvenience we will arrange to take you home or pay for you to get home and back to the shop. Hell no that didn't happen. I had to find the nearest train station in order to get home and then on 8/7/19 had to hop on the train again back to them. I had to take a bus and the train to get there. I had an 11:30 audit for my job and showed up late because no called me to tell me car was ready. I had to keep calling. When I finally reached Ed on the phone I had to really get some things off my chest. My car was obviously ready and no one thought to call me. The manage mind you said when I showed up to the office on 8/6/19 that she would personally call me when it was finished (surprise, surprise, she didn't). I even mentioned it when I showed up and she said she was waiting for the paperwork. The lack of professionalism on every level is mind boggling. How does a business survive when they treat paying customers like this? I'm sure people have great experiences at this place but I can only judge from my first and only time. I just hope the work they did is top notch because I don't ever want to go to this place ever again. It just left a bad taste in my mouth. You know what the kicker is, i got a call from a sales guy on the day i dropped of my car on 8/6/19 telling me that someone wanted to buy my car right away and if I wanted to sell or trade that very day. He was trying to sell me another car. I was like I brought my car to fix and not I the market to make a purchase (the nerve). I'm a very disappointed customer who most likely could have had good things to say but unfortunately I can't. The mechanic fixed the issue because the lights that came on are all off. I hope it stays that way. Shame in you Bay ridge Chevrolet for treating a customer that way. A "sorry" does nothing for me. read more

DO NOT BUY A CAR AT THIS DEALERSHIP!!! I saw a 2017 Hyundai Sonata sport with 38000 miles with no accidents and one private owner advertised on Carfax at a, "too good to be true" low price of $11700 by Bay Ridge Chevrolet. I went to see the car and, indeed, the car was great. I showed the salesman the printout from Carfax which said that there was an additional $500 discount with the ad to which he confirmed. At that point I told him that I'll buy the car but I wanted to know what would be my total price to which he answered that in addition I would have to pay registration fees around $ 300.00 + sales tax. I agreed I was going to pay cash for the car but he asked me to finance the car so they can make money on the deal. I agreed to finance with a $5000.00 down payment. After purchasing insurance for the car at the dealership and approximately 3 hours we walked into the office of the loan officer. The guy starts to throw papers at me to sign and tells me that the monthly payments would be $175.00 @ ~5%. At that point I asked him for the amount of the loan to which he, lowering his eyes, said $10000.00. Then I tell him how come so much since I'm putting down $5000.00 and the price of the car being $ 11200.00 + registration and taxes we got to a total of $ 15.000. He started mumtelling me that there are additional $2000 "fees". At that point I realized that I'm wasting my time dealing with a bunch of crooks that waisted my time, we got up and left the place. The following day I emailed Carfax to let them know about this dealership and they replied that they don't get involved in this kind of disputes. I guess they don't care as long as they make money.
