Pretty disappointed. I use Seamless to order from here and I didn't have any problems before. But just this week, I ordered lunch at 11:45 as I usually eat a bit later. The food was supposed to arrive at 12:30-12:40. 1pm it still wasn't delivered so I called them, the guy who answered said it was just sent out and I said okay. It didn't arrive until almost 2pm. Clincher is, I just ordered a sandwich. Almost 2 hours for a sandwich ain't worth it. The food here is okay, nothing special. read more

Terrible! Mystery Sludge in the bottom of the cup of coffee!? They brought me a new cup and when I stirred the skim milk the was slimy guck on the spoon. The server pour some more milk in the coffee and determined that the milk was sour. The server was apologetic, but the owner/manager wasn't phased at all and didn't apologize. He didn't even take the cup of coffee off the check. I had a headache for the rest of the day. I will never return and I'd suggest skipping the Bay Ridge Diner if you value your health. read more

If I had to compare this diner to a baseball team, this diner would be the Mets. Sure, some people love it, but everyone knows deep down it isn't that great... actually it's quite poor. I gave this diner the benefit of the doubt and ordered from it twice in 2 months. The first round was 2 salads, a chicken ceaser and a Waldorf salad. Both were a bit soggy, you could taste that the greens weren't fresh. It was dissapointing. The second time we ordered we had the Waldorf salad again, to see if it was a fluke the last time, and the Brooklyn wrap. The salad had lettuce and spinach in it that had gone bad - it was shriveled up and black on the edges. Again the greens tasted not so fresh. The wrap was sub par. It was very very soggy, the honey mustard they put on it was everywhere... just dripping through the wrap. The lettuce inside was soggy and had a brown tinge to it, probably a week old. Ugh. Overall, it was a bad 2 meals and I can't reccommend this place to any man, woman, or child. read more

It took about 60-75 minutes to get my order delivered, despite giving very clear directions. I ordered the French dip and I don't recommend it. Thick bread with very little taste. The "au jou" came in a cup and had hardly any flavor. Fries were bland too. No winners in this line up! read more

I already expressed my disappointment in the decline of quality and customer service for this diner, which I used to LOVE! And here I am today ready to give another negative review. It's Xmas Eve, just stating for facts. It's a given to be busy but I ordered 4 soups and somehow I'm still sitting here 55 minutes later waiting for my SOUP!!!!! HOW IS IT EVEN REMOTELY POSSIBLE to be waiting this long holiday or not for SOUP!?! No grilling, searing or toasting involved. I just don't understand. You may be busy but come on, deliveries are going out it's not too much to send them on en route of another delivery. Soups are great!! Taste amazing but not worth an hour+ wait. Should have just ordered from fort Hamilton like my bf said but unfortunately the chicken soup there sucks!!! I usually have a good experience at this diner but after today they have lost me as a customer! I placed an order for delivery asking for the super waffle which comes with eggs and sausage and bacon. My order arrived without the meats so I called back only to be answered by the rudest man. Not only was he talking over me but claimed I made the mistake bc I should have ordered the lumberjack (um no bc that includes pancakes and I did NOT want pancakes!) Shows how much he knew! But no, he was so nasty and if he would have just shut his trap and stop interrupting me as i was speaking everything could have been fine and he would not have a bad review on Yelp. I visited Bay Ridge Diner with admittedly low expectations, but was completely blown away by how fresh and delicious the food was!! I have to agree that this just is easily the best diner in the area. I got a starter salad and the Los Angeles Chicken sandwich (grilled chicken, provolone, and avocado) with a side of spinach, and was amazed by how fresh the ingredients were and the tastiness of the meal! The service was quick and friendly, and the diner itself clean, so I will definitely be visiting my new favorite Bay Ridge diner soon. read more

My family and I wanted a quick family brunch so we yelped and found this spot, since it had like 4 stars. The place isn't very spacious but just enough to pass a diner-like environment. All the waiters were Mexicans it seems...not that I have anything against that. Lol. What I love about this diner is that it has all the staples of a diner menu. It has friendly staff. Never seems to be too crowded but definitely never empty. Seems average priced to me. My boyfriend and I came here around 11 AM on a Saturday morning. When we arrived, it didn't seem too busy. Our menus were dropped off almost instantly, but after that, things really slowed down. More people showed up after we got our menus, but I don't see why that means a waiter can't come take our order for 10 or 12 minutes. When we were able to place our orders, I specifically asked for the Garden Omelette WITHOUT mushrooms. 40 minutes later when our food came (my omelette and my boyfriend's french toast with turkey bacon), what did I find? An omelette half packed with mushrooms. I should have sent it back, but at this point, I was so hungry that I was starting to get shaky, so I couldn't wait another half hour for freakin' eggs. The hash browns were very large chunks of overcooked and flavorless potatoes. My boyfriend said the french toast was very good, but his turkey bacon had a weird taste to it... very hard to describe, but it definitely did not taste like turkey bacon. It was also overcooked on one end and crispy, but it seemed to get less crispy towards the other end of the bacon. It looked uncooked, even though it was. We made the mistake of ordering a chocolate swirl muffin to go. It tasted like pound cake in muffin form. No good... it ended up going in the trash. Despite my negative review here, I'm giving 3 stars for price, my boyfriend's french toast, and the fact that I came here a few years ago after moving to Brooklyn, when I had a very delicious grilled chicken and avocado sandwich.
