Sites are spacious with lots of trees, some are by ponds or by a wooded areas. Lots of wildlife to watch in the morning and evening.

Kind of nice place but hot tub only worked two weeks of my two month stay. Now I can't get them to refund my deposit. They keep making up excuses or saying "the check is in the mail". There are many places in this area. I suggest you stay at one that does business in this century. This place has no integrity and can't be trusted to be honest. read more

I have stayed at this resort several times, each time I rented, once a tiny house and once a 2 bedroom trailer. The price is right, the staff is friendly and eager to help. I enjoyed my stay, and the location is perfect, would definitely give this place a high recommendation. The hot tub heating element was out, and unfortunately due to the supply chain, they have been unable to get the parts but other then that it was amazing. read more

Let's get right to it. We were scouting an RV park to keep our trailer this summer. THIS IS NOT THE PLACE. We booked the place without ever having seen it based off their fantastic advertising on their website. We arrived after dark and could tell through just the headlights that it was rundown and ill kept. Our site was very uneven and we weren't able to back all the way in due to low hanging branches. The roads here are AWFUL. They fill the potholes with sand, which does nothing. The grass is full of sticker burrs and thorn plants. Many of the long term residents are as rude as the staff. The family clubhouse smells like mildew and many of the game tables need repair. They advertise a heated winter pool on their website, but fail to state that the winter pool is an adult only pool. We were told after checking in that we could bring our children to the pool only between the hours of 10-2. They have a playground, but it's unusable. They also have a lovely dock to fish off of, but it's also in disrepair. This "resort" is easily the worst we've ever stayed at and we've been to RV resorts and camp grounds all over the United States. We spoke to three other campers who were counting down their time to get out of this place and find somewhere else. This "resort" is the farthest thing from family friendly, at least in the winter time. We spent almost all week in our camper, waiting for our paid week to end. read more

I would not stay here again. We have a 40 ft 5th wheel RV. The spot that was assigned to us was in the back of the section on the right side of the lakes. The spots were close together, the oak tree limbs were overhanging the road so we could not get back to it and the interior roads were HORRIBLE. WE were told it was due to the hurricane 5 years ago and had not yet been fixed. We protested to the after hours person and were given another site on the left side of the lake. We arrived at 4pm on a Friday and the office was already closed. The roads on the left side of the lake were marginally better and at least the site was long enough to get the RV into it. I went to the office on Saturday to pay. The information that was in our "late arrival" packet said the office opened at 9. I walked up there and arrived at 920 and it did not open until 930 so I just sat on the steps and waited. At 929 a very unsmiling young lady opened the door. She could not find our reassigned information and after some clicking on the computer was able to fix it. I also had a question about one of the activities. Her response was "I don't know about the activities. I am too busy to go to activities." OK THEN!! Since we are only here for a week - we probably wont go to many of the activities but it would have been nice to have that option. The dog park is small for the number of RV's that are here (I think they advertise 300+ sites). Plus it is solid DIRT - not one blade of grass. The dogs were absolutely FILTHY after the first visit and I would not let them go back. I read some of the reviews from May and June 2022 about the hot tub heating element being out - well it still was out. We are not spending much time here as we are seeing the area - but it definitely would not be a place to go for a lengthy stay or if you were planning to spend a lot of time at your RV. Your employee, maintenance manager Patty Moran, work camper Traci McGowan Kurtz and a man only known as Patty's "husband", pulled up in Patty's white Ford pickup, license plate number FMW****, in front of our rv site #***. All 4 doors were open, music blaring, Patty and her husband were in the road dancing. My wife and I confronted them which led to the "husband" taking a blind side swing at me, knocking my phone out of my hand. In a knee jerk reaction to this attack, I open hand slapped the "husband" and he fell to the ground. Traci began saying we have been "a**holes" since Labor Day and "you can move". 911 was called and we made a report to the Aransas County Sheriff's Office. We called park security Mike and told him we had an incident and the SO was called. He called Patty and she said it was handled so Mike did not come.   This is not the first incident of this type. During Labor Day weekend Patty was driving a golf cart, maybe Angie's, and another golf cart was driving around the park and down the main road with music blaring. They stopped in front of Traci's rv while continuing to play loud music and hollering. This happened at Saturday, September 4th and Sunday, September 5th. Park security John was called. My wife and I drove in our pickup to Patty's and to Angie's RV. It appears to have a big party at Angie's. Patty's work cart was at Angie's and Angie's cart was gone. We drove toward Traci's rv and Patty was driving the first cart of two in their party.   The next day we talked to George "Sparky" Gallop who lives across the street from Traci. He said Traci "was so drunk, she was poured into her trailer at 9:30. Patty got bit by one of Traci's dogs". Gallop also stated "I have leverage. I have video of them line dancing in the road". We spoke with park security John. He stated "Patty told me they were hunting a black panther."   My wife Charlotte, was asked by Patty, to keep the hummingbird feeders filled and clean for the Rockport Hummer Celebration. She was excited and glad to do it. After she agreed, Traci made statements that Charlotte and Traci can take our personal mowers and mow the hummer area. I said no. When Charlotte told that to Traci she said "F**k Henry". Charlotte mows and weed eats our lot but in the heat of the summer it takes her a couple of days to get it all done. After the Labor day incident, Charlotte quit and returned to Traci all the hummingbird supplies she was given. She went to a Rockport meeting and received a t-shirt and lanyard from the festival committee. Traci asked for those items. Charlotte said no she will return them to Diane L of the Rockport Hummer Celebration committee and that is what she did.   Mr. Rula, my wife is disabled. Patty and Traci knows this. It appears that they are harassing her and us. She has regressed exponicially since all this has occurred and her mental health is of great concern to me. It has been said, that is what they do to get rid of people. Charlotte is going to the doctor today.   We are asking for relief from the harassment. We stay to ourselves. We love our site. We have friends here and we have laid down roots (doctors, voting, we pay our rent on time etc) Charlotte was doing better until this last incident. This is without a doubt the worst RV park in the coastal bend. Lousy sites, stickers galore, many old decrepit RVs full time. Angry rude staff that will scam you. Paid for electric checking out. Got deposit back four months later minus final electric bill i already paid for. Called the manager. "Can you prove it?" If you have any other options, I would go there. read more

Checked in 2/16/2018 at 8 PM - 1st mistake! 2nd mistake coming into site at night: the roadway was substantially pocked. Low hanging thick oak trees caused over $500 in damage to the top of our RV. When I reported it next day, they gave me 4 business cards. We chose Gary's RV Repair. 3rd: there was barely grass in "RESORT"-so I had to drive my car w/dog & find grass that didn't have stickers. #4 they do not take credit cards. So when I checked out on Feb 26-ladies asked if I liked my stay....I said we enjoyed eating at Moondogs inRockport. This place was a part of our RPI membership SO it was supposed to be on our $10/night plan. Bayview charged us an additional $10 RESORT fee. Please do your homework better than I did. Probably one of the worst RV parks we have been to. The interior roads are horrific. Pothole after pothole. Go VERY slow. It will batter your rig for sure. The grounds are not kept up. There are minimal activities. There are many other RV parks in the area. read more

A horrible RV Park . We were assigned 3 sites before we were able to find one that we could use. The sites were so uneven we could not balance our motorhome. The sites are not kept up, we were not completely sure where to hoop up electricty and cap for discharge wates no where to be found. Bathrooms were in total disrepair ,ruaty faucets,paint pealing off walls,and not clean. I really don"t think it deserves a star at all. No actiivities read more

Overrated RV park. Probably was once a beautiful place. Needs TLC. The family pool was ok but the showers and bathroom were dirty and smelly. The view of the water was very picturesque. Playground was old, needed repair, and in my opinion not safe. Our site was so close to our neighbor we had NO OUTDOOR space. The long term residents near us did not keep up their outdoor spaces. It felt more like a trailer park than a getaway. Roads were rough and all signage needed some updating. We could not get the wifi to work (on multiple devices). Mosquitos were the worst I've ever experienced (not their fault) so take tons of bug spray and don't plan on enjoying the outdoors much. read more

We travel full time & this was just a bad RV park! The spot they put us in was so tight our slides almost touched our neighbors! They have a bunch of permanent residents & quiet a few ran down awful trailers. They have lots of out siders who just come there to use the pools also. The best part is I was told I could not have a refund if I left early due to them kicking out my uncle & us having to leave as a group but they gave my uncle a refund back. The fact that we didn't have a choice on leaving or not was awful to begin with. But it's even worse when we are trying to make ends meat & they won't even provide a refund.The people are not very friendly & they are not big on children. The staff isn't so friendly either! We've been here 4 months + while we are waiting to purchase a permanent home here at the Texas Coast, and so far so great, we downsized to a small travel trailer with 4 kids in tow and the experience here has been wonderful, the staff are all down to earth and attentive and you don't have to wait to talk to a real person, even when we are too busy to go anywhere we find plenty to keep us occupied here, we live about 75 yards from one of the lakes and there are also several ponds, out neighbors are wonderful and everyone( even the grumpy retirees) takes care of each other here, very quiet and peaceful nice to have coffee outside and watch the sunrise and sunsets are equally beautiful with glass of wine, we loved the pool this summer and look forward to spring here, always something going on, and people will actually stop and let you know and invite, it's a tight knit community within a community, not your run of the mill RV Park and we even named our mascot Raccoon( everyone seems partial to him) "Racczilla" cause he's huge, I love it here as does my entire family. read more

This is a park I would not recommend and would not return to. We stayed here for the 2013-2014 winter season, and we stayed because there was a goup of us and we could not move to another park and stay together. The roads are beyond repair, when it rained they filled the pot holes in with a concrete/gravel mixture that did nothing but get all over your car and rigs. The trees need trimming they hang over they sites and we did have 1 rig damaged because of it. We asked repeatly to have them trimmed and rarely did they respond. Upon arrival we asked for a picnic table that was safe to sit on......6 days later I demanded that they get us a decent picnic table, they did finally. The grounds are not taken care of...then entire 5+ months we were there, our grass was "weed wacked" one time. They advertise 2 clubhouses and 2 pools, but only 1 of each was open for the entire time, the other was closed for repairs. The laundry and bathrooms were disgusting, I can't image anyone using them. There seems to be a group of people that make decisions about the park and that is the only side that is cared for, our side was not. At the end of our stay we were told that they usually do not put "big rigs" on our side because of the roads and the sites...good time to tell us. We all called in for advance reservations and told them the rig sizes, no problem we were told. Sure wish we would have read reviews before we committed to this park. A lesson for the future !!!
