Wife and I waited to the last minute to try and find a place in Rockport for a 4 day weekend…read more Happened to stumble across Anthony's on Yelp by accident. Read the reviews and thought for sure they would be booked. Called and spoke with Beth and by chance, we were in luck. Booked the room and made the trip. For those of you looking for a 5 Star Resort, keep looking. Anthony's by the Sea is very laid back. Come and go as you please or relax by the pool or on the big patio. The breakfast that Beth serves every morning is fit for a king and will keep you full for hours. Beth and Smitty the owners are as sweet as can be and make you feel like this is your home as well. We will be planning more trips to Rockport and will stay here again. Anthony's by the Sea is a true hidden gem in Rockport.

If you're the B&B type, you will love this place and never stay anywhere else. My girlfriend and I loved the seclusion and serenity of the pool so much that we ended up opting to spend time there instead of the nearby public beach. It is also adjunct to the arboretum, so you can get treated to the sights (and sounds!) of peacocks and other wild life literally next door. I don't have a single negative thing to say - just give them a try, and you won't be sorry.

DO NOT RENT FROM MISS KITTY!!!! after spending 4 nights…read moreover Fourth of July weekend, I feel like people deserve to know what they're walking into. They have trash cans by the stair case that smells terrible with roaches and flies and we have to pass it every time we go into our room. We booked this condo expecting a relaxing beach vacation. Instead, it felt like every day came with a new surprise--and not the good kind. Let's start with the condition of the unit. The walls were literally falling apart, and the bathroom had water leaking through the shower wall from the unit above us. When we reported it, we were told they couldn't do anything because the unit upstairs wasn't managed by them. While I understand that may be true, it doesn't change the fact that we paid for a room with water leaking into the bathroom. The bathroom light also had a mind of its own. Every time you flipped the switch, it took a couple of minutes to turn on, like it was still asleep and needed its morning coffee before deciding to work. The TV wasn't much better. The remote wouldn't change the channels, so if we wanted to watch something, we had to get up every single time and manually change the channel on the cable box. After putting up with all of these issues, we were finally told we could move to another unit--but only on the last night of our 4-night stay. Even then, the replacement unit wasn't ready until around 5:00 p.m., so we spent most of the day waiting. Then we had to pack up every single one of our belongings and move everything ourselves... just to sleep there for one night before checking out the next morning. To make things even worse, the replacement unit didn't even have the pull-out couch that our original unit had. It was just a regular couch, even though we booked a unit that was supposed to accommodate six people. We also spent most of our vacation using only one bathroom, despite paying for a two-bathroom unit. After all of that, no refund, no partial refund, no discount, and no real compensation was offered. I know they have recently been bought out. A few changes, no longer garage pickup or clean towels. That's not such a big deal but no coffee maker in the cabin and in all the years in the past: the security-cleaning deposit was given back into your account. Was informed today( after I had to call) that that was now included in your stay. That should have been made clear up front upon booking. We make it a diligent habit of thoroughly cleaning our cabin before we leave. Between no coffee maker and the other little perks, we were short changed in our stay this year. I have always taken your business cards and also word of mouth to promote this resort but I now have to think twice. Just not the same as before.
