Oh Bayhill VB, I could not never pho-get you. Your P1 combination is burned in my brain like your Sriracha burns my tongue (d'oh!). On cold, rainy days there is nothing like their Pho. It is the ideal remedy to warm the body and spirit. The broth, the noodles, the meat and the garnish of cilantro, basil, sliced jalapenos and limes are a little plate of joy. I am looking forward to another hot any spicy of our Southeast Asian savoriness. Probably this week. Okay, time for some pics.

We can't deny for the noodle we all love PHO .. for this area Bayhill this place is no1 Never disappointed .. I've been going here for more than couple years and I love all the soup. The service every menus are great so far the atmosphere is always clean. I always go there if I'm in the pho mood.

I let my nose lead me places sometimes and this place always smelled so good!! My visit exceeded all of my expectations. I'm new to the area coming from mountain time and eastern time and this pho was one of the best bowls I've had in my life. The steak bahn mi was fresh and delicious as well, so flavorful and generous with meat, although I wish it had more veggies. It's an excellent value. The tofu spring rolls with peanut sauce were also full of flavor, and even the Thai iced tea was delicious. Their water is flavored with lemon (great plus) and I can't wait to come back and try more of this fresh delicious pho! Didn't get pictures of the entrees because we ate it so fast! If this isn't even the best Vietnamese food according to other Yelpers, I can't imagine how good other restaurants are! Service was great, and when you're done with your meal you bring your ticket to the register to pay - which is awesome if you feel like lingering a while.

Placed a pickup order via Uber Eats for a Vermicelli bowl with egg rolls. Order was ready in 15 minutes. Staff was friendly and pleasant. Plenty of indoor seating, good for families. Vermicelli bowl (with egg rolls, rice vermicelli, shredded lettuce, cucumbers, pickled carrots, daikon, sprouts, peanuts, nuoc cham) was generously packed and lasted me 2 meals. Great value, look forward to ordering again :)

Watery broth and small noodle portions. This place isn't worth the value for what you get when you compare it to Kevin's Noodle House or other places. 2.5 rounded up to 3 just because it's a local business. The thai tea is like $6 for all ice, not worth it. They charge for hot tea. The service is slow even though this place is empty all the time. Their beef with rice is chewy and not flavorful. Their eggrolls taste like mush and nothing of quality inside. I highly doubt with all the restaurants closing this place will stay in business. They charge you like $4 more pet item then other places and like I mentioned the service is slow to non existent. Their to go portions are hella small too.

Yummy place! Three of us went Mom, her care taker and me today. We had a late lunch and enjoyed it very much. We started with grilled spring rolls and crispy fried spring rolls. I like the crispy fried better than the fresh spring rolls. Mom and her care taker thought the fresh spring rolls were delicious! They order a grilled beef and a grilled pork sandwiches. They thought the meat was tasty and the veggies were fresh! Very delicious!! I had grilled shrimp and rice plate. It was very good and filling. The ambiance is very comfortable and enjoyable.. I could spend an afternoon in their eating and drinking and relaxing! Nice place!

I enjoyed eating here! The ambiance inside is lovely and calming and spacious, the food is pretty typically priced for Vietnamese dining, but the portion for my vermicelli bowl was huge. I was happy surprised with how much food there was; you can't tell how deep the bowl is from my picture. I would come back here again and try the pho! Everyone inside was very nice

After suffering sticker shock at Mollie Stones ($14 for a 6" sandwich?!) I knew I could do better with a bahn mi. Walked over to Bayhill Vietnamese Bistro and got a foot-long chicken bahn mi and some shrimp spring rolls for only $6 more. Both were tasty and the serving was quick.

Tried Bay Hill Vietnamese Bistro recently. The pho was decently tasty--especially the rare steak, which had good flavor--but the portions were on the smaller side compared to chain places like Pho Hoa. They only offer one size for pho, and at $18.50 after tax, it's definitely pricier. You also don't get a lot of vegetables with your pho, though they did give me extra cilantro for free when I asked. Extra noodles was $4.50! They have other menu options too, including cold vermicelli, rice plates, banh mi, and drinks like Thai iced tea. The ambiance is actually pretty nice. There's a central area designed to look like a house, and it wasn't crowded at all on a Saturday evening. The waiter was friendly and even gave us hot water for no charge. One downside there was the music--it was a bit loud with heavy bass, which gave me a bit of a headache. Overall, it's an okay spot, but I think there are better values elsewhere. For similar taste and larger portions, I'd probably just stick with Pho Hoa (obviously there are better pho places out there especially in SJ). Plenty of parking since it's in a plaza.

Came to try this place after noticing it while ordering Korean Fried Chicken next door. It's in the strip mall next to 280 on San Bruno Ave. Place is huge, a little dark, and I haven't seen it being crowded ever. Do note that they are closed on Sunday which is really weird for most Asian restaurant. The food is decent but nothing special. Don't think the soup is from actual bone soup but with the price I don't expect them to. They however gives you a lot of meat for the price. I feel like I got a decent deal. Service is also good. You do have to pay at the counter.

I always pass by BVB but never really got a chance to try it out. I went in on a random Thursday afternoon at 3 pm and it was relatively empty with only a few diners. The service was average and on par with other Vietnamese restaurants. I got the P2 rare steak and it was a decent size but pricey $15.xx. The broth was a tad on the salty side but I don't think they put msg in the broth. The pho only come in one size. To pay, go up to the counter. They interior is clean and spacious with both booth seating and tables. Plenty of parking in the plaza

Pretty solid place for your banh mi or pho fix. Been coming here for years and it's always consistent. Although there is a significant difference ordering pho to-go and at the restaurant, obviously taking it home won't be as fresh. Service is fine, you pay at the front counter when you're done with the meal or go straight to the counter when ordering togo. The vibes are super chill, for any occasion honestly. Will continually come here and recommend this place. My order: Chicken Pho - Super solid, the broth is super flavorful and smooth. It will totally cure any hangover or cold because it's so comforting. Beef or BBQ Pork Banh mi - Very affordable compared to most places nowadays. Their bread is more on the soft side, which is my favorite kind. The meat is always good especially with the pickled vegetables. Can't go wrong here. Thai Tea - Definitely better than what you get at a boba shop, but it's also not the best I've ever had.

The pho at Bayhill is a must-try for any noodle soup lover. Broth: The soup is clear, fragrant, and rich in flavor, simmered to perfection with hints.

I remember this place opening after Hobbees closed in the mid 90s and it's always empty. Is this business open ? I've lived in San Bruno for 35 years and frustrated at the lack of quality restaurants in Bayhill shopping center.

    Yes, it's open.

Customary at most Vietnamese restaurants, you get your food with minimal check ins and not even a plate clearing until the bill comes. This was NOT the case here. There service was definitely in the A/A+ range! I ordered on my phone via QR code, but there was an option to order in person from a server. I ordered many items to try out. I ordered spring rolls, crispy salt and pepper wings, grilled pork banh mi, beef dac beit pho, and a Thai iced tea. Thai Iced Tea was pretty good. Grade: A I thought the Spring Rolls were decent, but what made them even better was the peanut sauce! I always hate when the peanut sauce is watery and this was far from that! An excellent gooey peanut sauce and maybe one of the best I've had fpr consistency. Grade: A- Crispy salt and pepper wings definitely had an incredible crunch. They were up there in crunchiness. The drumettes were meaty which I appreciated. They were well seasoned also. I think I need to try their other wings before crowning these, but some of the cruncheist wings I've had for sure. Grade: A- Beef Dac Biet Pho had some real high quality meat in it. I had options in noodle and my go-to for any pho spot is the egg noodles. I wish it had more bo vien in it, but I appreciated the combo of meats. The broth seemed authentic, but I wanted a tad more flavor out of it without adding sauces. Overall, the pho grade was a B+ bordering an A-. The star of the show was the grilled pork banh mi. The meat was tender and saucy. In fairness I asked for extra pickles and mayo, but I was very impressed. The bread had the crispy crunch we all look for but minus the stale bread. The breads soft yet crispness made it seem as if it just came out of the oven! I'm going to dub this as the best I've had in the Bay Area! There I said it! Grade: A+ Everyone who ordered the sampler seemed very pleased at other tables, I would definitely try that. Also, want to try the other banh mis and noodle options for the pho. There was a nice vibe at this place. I didn't feel rushed although they do close fairly early at 8pm. The server's mom is the one cooking in the kitchen and I appreciated the family feeling at this place. They do have a newer location in San Francisco that has a DJ Friday nights that I may check out. I believe the server said that they are open til 2am on most nights, but I may have misheard her. Feel free to Yelp that location. My only disappointment was that I really love papaya salad and it was not an option. I may make this my go-to spot from now on, but as a Yelper, we all know we will keep trying new places. This will be the one I continue to frequent. Well done Pho de Nguyen!

We can't really complain, but it also wasn't memorable enough for us to come back. The broth was decent, but if you're a pho lover, you know the broth is what makes or breaks the experience and this one just didn't stand out. After lunch we went grocery shopping, and that's when things took a turn. My husband suddenly started sweating, and my stomach began making all kinds of unhappy noises. We hadn't eaten anything else that day, so we suspect something from the meal didn't sit well with either of us. That said, we can't say for certain that the restaurant was the cause. The restaurant itself looked clean, and the service was perfectly fine. Unfortunately, between the average broth and how we both felt afterward, it's just not a place we'll be returning to.

VERDICT: Overall nothing too special here, but this fits the bill when you just want something healthier to eat that isn't fast food.
