I'm 47 now so walking through the door for the first time was a pretty big deal for me. From the front desk to being in the dental chair, everyone made me feel comfortable, safe, and never embarrassed about how long it had been (or how wildly messed up my teeth were). The whole process took about a year. I had my upper teeth removed and implants done on the top, along with some implant work on the bottom. It was a big process, but Dr. Read and team made it so much easier than I expected. Megan was part of the team taking care of me during most of my visits, and she was excellent as well. Having the same person there so often made a big difference, especially with my anxiety. She was always patient, reassuring, and made me feel comfortable throughout the process. The final result is incredible. My teeth look natural, feel natural, and are strong enough that I don't really even think about them being implants. They used some really impressive technology throughout the process, and you can tell a lot of care and pride went into making sure everything looked and felt right. When everything was finally finished, I actually teared up because I was so happy with how I looked and most importantly - how I felt. I don't think I realized how much of a burden having bad teeth had been until that burden was gone. Being able to smile without thinking about it is a pretty amazing feeling. If you have dental anxiety, have avoided the dentist for years, or are considering implants, I would absolutely recommend the entire team. I'm genuinely grateful I finally went through with it.

A permanent implant was placed before my Invisalign treatment was complete, and then trays were continued. This sequencing error caused a visible midline shift and asymmetry in my smile. I was never informed that this could be a permanent outcome. When I raised concerns, I was dismissed and told my midline was "within normal limits" without an in-person exam. A second opinion from a nationally and internationally accredited prosthodontist confirmed improper sequencing and lack of planning caused structural harm, not cosmetic dissatisfaction. One root canal he performed on tooth #31 failed within two years and required extraction. Tooth #19, which he also treated and retreated, is failing again and has been referred for further endodontic evaluation. A recent provider identified five additional teeth that may need root canals, eroded enamel, poor crown margins, and accelerated wear despite my attending regular appointments over four years. This prolonged pattern of overlooked issues, superficial reassurances, and inadequate follow-up has been both emotionally draining and physically harmful. It also triggered a documented MS flare-up, my first since diagnosis. There was no informed consent on foreseeable outcomes and no referral to a specialist, even though complex procedures were involved. I've reported this to the dental board and consumer protection agencies. I do not recommend this provider to anyone seeking ethical or well-coordinated care.

I am going to inform Dr. Abed that he might want to start a new Yelp listing based only on reviews for him. I love the waiting area & especially the restroom here. Then the dental hygienist came in and informed me that based on his review of my X-rays I needed a deep clean to remove some buildup under my gums (which he specifically said is not a new problem) but he'd be willing to do a medium deep clean. The insurance specialist informed me it would cost over $300, out of pocket. To be clear, I go to the dentist every 6 months and have my entire life. I brush twice a day and floss daily. The dentist today had no concerns about my teeth after reviewing my X-rays. No dentist (or dental hygienist) has ever recommended a deep clean before. And I was told this is "not a new problem." I declined the medium deep cleaning, the hygienist refused to do a regular cleaning and I left. The whole experience felt very scammy. And I still need to get my teeth cleaned.

This unfortunately led to needing the tooth to be removed, but he was able to guide me through the process and connect me with a wonderful oral surgeon. Throughout the process, it was evident that he was closely communicating with the offices of the various sub-specialists, coordinating my care, and probably spending time outside of his normal clinical hours to do so. Dr. Hassid has a very calm, patient bedside manner. He always takes the time to explain things, in clear, simple and easy-to-understand terms, and makes sure all my questions are answered. I can tell he really cares about his patients. His office staff are also all excellent - extremely courteous, accommodating, and professional. As an example, I had an appointment with him this morning. I received a phone call that one of the staff had called in sick, and my appointment would need to be rescheduled. However, very quickly, Dr. Hassid went ABOVE and BEYOND to accommodate me into his schedule today, so that I could still be seen. It definitely wasn't necessary but really showed the level of commitment Dr. Hassid and his team have toward their patients. I think I'll be a patient here for a very long time.

That kind of manipulative upselling left me feeling more like a sales prospect than a patient. The final insult was being charged an additional $25 to access digital scans I had already paid $355 for. I'm not sure how withholding a patient's own medical records unless they pay an extra fee fits into the "holistic" ethos, but it certainly didn't feel ethical. Thankfully, I visited another holistic dentist soon after and had a completely different (and far more respectful) experience. Had I not done so, this visit to Adore would have left a bad taste in my mouth of holistic care--no pun intended.
