This place just is .... Let's just say if you're hungry and just want "fuel" you can stop in, but some something delicious this isn't worth it. For starters if you fancy something on the menu, they'll just tell you " we're out of that right now " so you'll be subject to just get something basic. I ordered the shrimp and catfish grilled and it lacked soooooo much of flavor. The shrimp was already cooked (boiled) and they just butterflied them and tossed them on a hot plate. They were very soggy, definitely old. The fish was hot, but lacked a lot of flavor. The rice was just white rice with some soy sauce and it wasn't properly prepared. I stayed away from this business for years due to getting ill. I wanted some fried shrimp so I thought it was the closest to me and there is probably new owners or cooks. They double batter the small over-cooked shrimp to apparently make them seem bigger. They were crunchy with no special season to them. I was mostly eating breading without being able to enjoy shrimp. The crinkle fries were old and overdone and dry. The stuffed crab is missing that wonderful seafood seasoning and is way salty. The cole slaw is too sweet with none of the traditional tang to it. The fried shrimp is a scam got home and took a bite of the shrimp and tasted nothing but breading, so I washed the breading off of the remaining shrimp, and what did I find just shrimp tails with no shrimp meat and a shit load of breading. Did they use discarded shrimp tails and bread the crap out of them and resale them fucking disgusting that place just needs to shut down..Tony's seafood in deer park use to really good. Says it's the "Best Seafood In Town," but when you walk in it's a mostly Mexican restaurant. Big clue that things aren't what they seem. Seafood is HORRIBLE. Worst seafood I've had anywhere and the fried rice is worse than the seafood itself. Friend had a quesadilla and said it was pretty good, tho. read more

I stopped here with my family while visiting relatives. The food is great, the portions are better and price is somehow even better. They had non seafood for the kids. A cheese burger for the wife. But the star was the fried shrimp. I live a few hours further from the coast so the shrimp here are bigger and cheaper. I will definitely be back next time we're in town. read more

Have lived in DP my whole life and never eaten at Tony's. Tried it today. Called in 3 orders of the dozen shrimp. My total was only $22, so I figured they only gave us half a dozen each and I was right. But it was totally ok. Because the shrimp were huge. I could not even have imagined how a dozen shrimp would have fit in the box. We all really enjoyed it. 6 butterflied shrimp, fries, coleslaw and texas toast for $7? Amazing deal. I really love seafood and a real big fanatic. But this place was subpar. The fish tasted mushy and the shrimp was good once u got through all the excessive batter. It just didn't float my boat on my seafood fix. But I give it three stars the ladies was very helpful. But I can say the tacos did look good will go back and try tacos!! Tacos! That's what I'm rating this place on. I haven't tried their seafood yet. So, I walk in cause I hear rumors of tacos and boy oh boy was I surprised! I definitely wasn't expecting to see a legit steam table full of authentic meats and egg taco fillings. I wanted one of everything but I settled on one barbacoa, one chicharone and one chorizo and egg. They were all so tasty! They even have that green salsa that makes your mouth want to run away from you! You know that one that's probably pure chile death fire? So good!! Someone mentioned to me that the breakfast tacos were delicious so I tried them last week and yes, they were! I had a chicharron taco that had just enough spice; not too hot just flavorful. Barbacoa was very tasty as well. I decided to try the lunch today and ordered the fish sandwich basket. Thumbs up again! The sandwich was huge, 4 fish fillets piled on it so you'd better be hungry! The basket came with fries and onion rings; fries, ok, onion rings, a winner! Next time I will ask only for onion rings.
