First time visiting this establishment. My husband's co workers have been recommending this place for a while. Parking: lot. Enough Inside: nice Ambiance. fish Aquariums. There's a separate bar area. Service: Good. Our waitress seemed new, but she did good. Drinks: Very good, but nicer glasses to compliment the drink type, I ordered a French 75. It came in a water glass w/a lime for garnish. My friend decided to order one because she liked the taste of mine. There was no garnish on her drink. Food Fresh & hot. I like writing reviews for restaurants like this, because I feel like other places are overrated sometimes. We wanted somewhere with some great lent food choices and were pleasantly surprised! We had the shrimp scampi, baked potato and green beans. Scampi was good, extra buttery and lots of lemon tasted very fresh. Potato was fresh, super soft and fluffy the way I like them and green beans pretty good. We also had fried shrimp, Coleslaw and fries. No complaints, fries were crispy, shrimp were good size and pretty tasty! Tartar sauce was just okay. Super picky child with us...initially disappointed that the Mac & cheese on kids menu was Kraft and not homemade but was it was served hot, buttery & cheesy...we've been to restaurants that also served Kraft and it tasted pulled right out of fridge and microwaved. So yes you can screw up Kraft. Peppers did not and picky child ate every bite. Ordered side of fries, didn't come with Mac & cheese. We also ordered fried zucchini as an app, review was that it was light slightly lemony served with ranch. Tea was good, tasted fresh. All in all Peppers is a great spot for dinner for great food, short wait and small quaint atmosphere. Loved all the fish tanks. I'd give zero stars if I could. It took 50 minutes to receive my order of a well done hamburger, that I then had to send back because it was still mooing. Waitress returned with a burger that was still only partially cooked. An hour and a half later I became nauseated and then threw up several times. I will never go back to this restaurant again. Have lived in Pasadena most of life and finally tried Peppers for the first time today. The bread they served was fresh and warm, along with regular butter and cinnamon butter! I ordered the chicken fried steak and my girlfriend had a ribeye and we both enjoyed it. Denise was our waitress and she's what really made the experience top tier. Her energy and attention was great! I also left my bag, and she found a way to message me and return it to me. So thankful for her and the rest of the staff! Would highly recommend! read more

We had our daughters wedding reception there on a Saturday evening. It could not have been better. Anthony the general manager was excellent. He was there for everything we needed. Anthony made sure all the children got there food quickly and even took them to watch while he fed the fish in the fish tanks. We have been going to this restaurant since it opened in 1995. We have many family memories in this restaurant. The current general manager has greatly damaged this restaurant. With the 2018 menu you could choose a salad as one of your vegetables. Now there is an extra charge to do that. Our sever told us that they have gotten many complaints about this. The evening that we went there I specifically decided to go there because I wanted a salad. Because of the extra charge, I chose green beans instead. There were so profusely dripping in oil that they were inedible. The new menu has deleted the spaghetti and meatballs, which was a favorite for my wife. My wife had the seafood gumbo. It had no flavor. We have noted that for many years this restaurant has mostly old people as customers. This restaurant probably will only be in business two more years. Employees should look for another job very soon. There have been a few times in recent years when my food was served barely warm. We will not be returning to this restaurant. read more

We are Thursday night regulars at Peppers, they never fail to provide excellent service and fantastic food. When I am trying to be good I get the Bronzed Salmon and veggies or redfish with crab butter. When I am being bad I get the chopped steak (medium rare because the meat is freshly ground everyday) with brown gravy and mushrooms. My husband who is never trying to be good loves the Chicken fried chicken with white gravy or the Chicken Acapulco. The hot bacon spinach salad with Salmon is also a star! I've been driving past this place for the last year and always wondered what to expect from it. It so happened Groupon had a deal for this place and we decided to give it a try. The 4 star ratings from Yelp was no lie. I haven't had outstanding service like this for a very long time and the food was amazing. I'll start with our waiter. He was very attentive, cleared our plates with each meal, ensured that our food was cooked to the right temperature and checked on us frequently. The decor of the establishment was very homely. The fixtures and dining room area has been well kept for a place that's been in business 15 years. Everything was clean and our utensils were spotless when they were unraveled from the napkin. The food presentation was beautiful. All of the items we ordered came out freshly made and steaming hot, just the way I like it! We came during lunch and ordered the following: Fried Mushrooms - Golden brown to perfection. There was no piping hot liquid or grease shooting out of each piece and each bite at all! These mushrooms were hand battered evenly. The homemade ranch that accompanied the appetizer was unreal. Just a small dip of it, paired with the mushroom was tantalizing. Beef Stroganoff - This pasta entree was very consistent with taste and flavor. The beef was very tender and easy to chew and tear off. The pasta itself was not rubbery and easy to bite off with the mixture of beef. Chicken Fried Steak - Don't get me wrong. I love T-Bone Tom's (Kemah, TX) Chicken Fried Steak and it was always number one in my book, but Peppers got them beat. Again, it was golden brown to perfection just like the fried mushrooms. It was not over-breaded and left an even texture for taste. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I had a choice of fries or mash potatoes and I chose the mash potatoes. The mash potatoes alone did not necessarily need the creamy gravy. It was amazing with the consistent buttery texture. As far as the cream gravy goes. I wish I hadn't tried it. It was so good, I requested a side of it. I wanted to drink it all... Overall, the food was beyond what I had expected. Considering we came in to dine for lunch, the portions were huge. The price, reasonably cheap. Next time I'm coming in for the steaks and seafood. I'm so glad I gave this place a visit! read more

My boyfriend decided to go to Peppers since we live so close by. I've been before but it has been years. Not sure why. This was his first time though. I used to always order the Peppers Stuffed Chicken entree. Pan-seared chicken breast stuffed with herby cream cheese. Sounds amazing right? Well, it used to be. Something was off with the filling. Like maybe it wasn't seasoned well. And the chicken was pink inside. Unfortunately I had already eaten half of it when I noticed it! I pray I don't get sick tonight. We flagged down the manager and she was very apologetic and accommodating. She offered to replace my Stuffed Chicken but at this point, I was turned off. So I decided to get the Chicken Acapulco upon her recommendation. I'm sooooo glad I opted for that dish! It was delicious. Grilled chicken breast with pico, smothered in cheese and Avocado Ranch along with avocado slices! The chicken was cooked perfectly - NO PINK!! I ordered mashed potatoes with white cream gravy for one of my sides and a house salad. Both were good. I really love their croutons. I think they are homemade. They taste like it. I know their Ranch dressing is homemade. Sooooooo good! My boyfriend ordered the 12 oz NY Strip cooked medium-well. It was perfect! He almost finished the whole steak but couldn't do it. It was a large piece of meat! For his sides, he got a loaded baked potato and a house salad. He loved it all. The prices are very reasonable. For the Chicken Acapulco, the NY Strip and 1 drink, it was $34.93. Not bad! Our server Alex was very friendly. And the manager Sarah was awesome! I opted for 4 stars because of the excellent service. Plus, the food was great excluding the stuffed chicken. I would definitely go back and possibly order the Chicken Acapulco again! read more

Once upon a time, this was THE place to eat in Pasadena. Well, sadly times change. A visit on 2/13/2023 found the place mostly vacant, and apparently with only two people on staff. They were friendly, but the food was so awful neither of us could eat much of it. Crab cakes, chicken sandwich, even a simple hamburger were all equally bad. Go anywhere else! read more
