Bazbeaux pizza cannot be beat. I can never decide between The Luke (buffalo chicken) and the Quattro Formaggio (lots of cheese, mushrooms and *take note veggies!* bacon). This is an excellent "modern" pizza joint. There are a huge amount of choice of toppings, both traditional and nontraditional. They also have a nice list of specialty pizza. I really enjoyed the Quattro formagio. Toppings are high quality, and sauce is tasty. I thought the crust could be a little better, but my wife says I'm just being picky. Service was excellent. Bazbeaux Pizza is definitely the best in Indy. That is, unless you dislike creativity and want something you could get at any one of a hundred different places. This is the place to be adventurous and try something you never thought you would. For instance, the Tchoupitoulas pizza has Cajun shrimp and andouille sausage among other things. We got a seriously excellent recommendation to go here for lunch from the people at Easley Winery after our wine tasting just a few blocks away. These guys were busy at 3pm on a sunday afternoon... it was crazy but after we got to try the pizza I understood why! The servers were working hard and kept up on our drinks and were friendly. We split two salads. The tossed salad was fairly standard tossed salad and the spinach salad was kind of like a spinach cobb. but the takeaway from this portion of the event are there house made salad dressings... holy crap... i wanted to just lick the bowl that they brought the creamy basil dressing out in... it was so good... if you like fresh basil this is the dressing for you... i'm drooling just thinking about it. the creamy cucumber was also very good (but i'm not a big cucumber fan so...yeah). We split three different 10" pizzas between 5 people and it was a perfect amount of food and we got to pick from their awesome list of house specials. Overall the crust reminds me of NewYork style crust, thin and cooked just to the right level of crispy but then it slides into gourmet style pizza with all of the different toppings they offfer. I loved the Bazbeaux Special with basil, garlic and Sundried tomatoes... but ofcourse I loved it with the fresh basil sprinkled on top after it came out of the oven. We also go the Mexican with chorizo, avocado, pepperoncini and cheddar cheese (there were other things, onions and olives maybe). This was also very good but my only complaint with splitting with other people is that i didnt get a slice with very much chorizo on it... but it was still fabulous. The overall favorite at the table was the Chilope which had black bean dip, salsa, green pepper, onion, tomato, cheddar cheese and cilantro sprinkled post bake. all I can say is... wow... amazing... do it again! I grabbed a quick lunch with a friend and have to say I love what they do at lunch. Rather than a sit down and order, it is cafeteria style and you order by the slice. Not to worry the Quattro Formaggio is on the menu. I got two slices and a drink for under $10 and took less than 2 minutes. I will defiantly be back. read more

My first night as an Indianapolis resident far surpassed all of my expectations thanks to Bazbeaux's. Although it was a busy Saturday night our waitress was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to help me with my dietary restrictions. There is a pizza for everyone here. From specially combinations, gluten free crusts, and make-your-own options, even a pizza-hater (do those exist?) can find something to try and love. But wait! Don't forget the bar! We always try and hit Bazbeaux after a Roller Girls bout. It's always a perfect end to the night! Some of the best pizza I've ever had. They have an exotic variety of toppings and their regular menu selections are awesome too. The 'Mexican' and the 'BBQ' are my favorites. Good selection of beers. We will never eat here again. We ordered a side salad and asked for a side of onion and they charge 40 cents for 1 sliver of an onion. Really, Bazbeaux!!! Plus, they only gave us two teaspoons of dressing and guess what, you guessed it, another up charge of 50 cents. Wife and I are in town for a swim meet and have been trying to find local places for dinner. This is the second gem we have found in Indy. Pizza is really awesome. I would recommend getting a couple of small 10 inch pies and sharing. tastes are really good we had the Cajun pizza and the Collasses....both really good. crisp crust and awesome toppings. GREAT beer selection and they are really welcoming in terms of letting you try the more exotic flavors. casual and fun. one more thing..service is really friendly and familiar. just love the way people will have a conversation with you while serving you. we have run into this a few times while we have been in Indy and it is really wonderful. read more

Now that is a pizza pie! With a name that is hard to pronounce you wouldn't expect to find a pizza here but boy was it great! They offer smaller size pies that are great for sharing with one person or just by yourself. The beer menu offers a great batch of local brewerys. This is our favorite neighborhood pizzeria in Indy! The staff is fun and interesting, the atmosphere is friendly and the good kind of not-trendy. Their beer selection changes often and trends toward the local and interesting, and they usually have something weird and awesome hiding behind the bar (this week, it's Viking Blod honey mead!). If you like thin-crust pizza, theirs is great, and their stock pizzas on the menu are eclectic and talk to a wide variety of tastes. We like their spinach salad and their house salad - they pleasantly walk the line between too basic and too fancy, and their house creamy basil dressing is great on either salad. It's totally worth the ordeal of finding parking on Mass Ave to spend some time at the Baz. read more

Bazbeauxs is by FAR my favorite pizza in indy. I should buy stock in this place. I can't say enough good things about our dining experiences here except.....their pizza delivery. Doesn't compare to dining in. They tell you an hour and it's usually an hour and 15-20 and it also doesn't arrive very warm. Kind of disappointing. I will obviously continue to eat here because who can deny the quattro formagio and a house salad with creamy cucumber dressing but I don't think we will be ordering delivery anymore (sucks cuz we live 6 mins away)...guess take out it will be if we choose not to dine in! read more

Saw some great reviews for this spot and decided hey, Indy's close to Chicago let's see what they got. I got the heralded Pizza Alla Quattro Formaggio and while it was good, it wasn't mind-blowing either. The thin crust was fresh and crunchy, although a bit dry. Bazbeaux Pizza is delicious! They have several veggie options that are awesome, and the service is always good. With a few Sun King beers available, and plenty of other options besides, the downtown Bazbeaux is a great place to have a pizza, sit around for a little while, and enjoy some good food and drinks.
