I've been here for Sunday morning brunch two times. There are only 3 egg items on the menu, and I wish there were more. I get the basic breakfast and my boyfriend gets the vegetarian omelette and we get the Mighty Leaf tea. The basic breakfast consists of scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, toast, and fruit. I asked if I could get the eggs over easy instead of scrambled. The waiter checked with the chef and the answer was Yes. The amount served is smaller than other places. This means instead of leaving half of the meal, I end up eating all of it. The quality of the ingredients is good and the food is tasty. The cost for the breakfast is less than Breadwinners. Perhaps it's the time and day we go, but the service is good and the food always arrives quickly. read more

I ordered the pan seared salmon with gazpacho salsa and it was Uhhhhh-MAZING. The kitchen cooked it perfectly to how I wanted it. Probably one of the best salmon dishes I've had in a long time. But then again, I had just come from the gym and developed a monstrous appetite... so maybe cardboard would have tasted good at that point. Jk. Definitely give this dish a try! The hubs got the honey chipotle chicken sandwich with a ginormous side of fries that was big enough to share between the two of us. Very good as well. Honestly, one of my favorite places for lunch. Yes, it is in a mall but it's really an oasis of calm. The crab bisque is so rich and creamy but with a little piquant taste too (cornichons?). I loved the crab stack and the chicken paillard but they seem to have tossed those off the menu (bring them back!) The steak and frites always goes over well with my sons and I love the warm Asian chicken salad. Because this place gets packed at a lunch time, you would do well to get a reservation if you want a prime time slot. But frankly, I have left at 3 before and it is still pretty packed. Excellent food there menu is hard to pick everything is so good . We had a spa day and went for lunch after it was the best lunch I've had in a long time . We had the onion soup which I recommend to have it's one of the best onion soups I had and believe me I had too many . I had the seared chicken it's so tasty with grapes and Brussels sprouts with a lemony kick delicious.My daughter had the burger all I can say OMG so tender and the flavor amazing . As a frequent goer of Northpark mall, Bazille is one of my favorite places to grab a yummy bite to eat in between shopping. My absolute favorite dish here is the bruschetta (see photo) although I love many other items on their menu as well. This restaurant is connected to the Northpark Nordstrom store. Every time I have had the opportunity to dine here, I have had an excellent experience. Bazille is most definitely higher end, and the chef creates a menu that challenges. The last meal I had was a salmon dish, with a side (salad?) of couscous, cucumber, sprouts and a tzatziki sauce. Sounded very strange and unappealing to my unsophisticated palate. So much so that I ordered a side of smashed potatoes to complement the salmon. To my surprise and delight, the dish was perfect in every way, and the strange side dish tasted like springtime and happiness. Every aspect of the service was great as well. I highly recommend Bazille to anyone who enjoys a quality meal. read more

Bazille is one of those places that occupies a weird place in what remains of my heart. I have been coming here for the past few years, with each experience being a memorable one... yet I am just now getting around to the obligatory Yelp review. It's like owning the greatest hits album of a band you like and then going back to check out their studio albums years after your ex ran off with the CD and then you graduated college and she moved across the country. Totally like that. In my head this analogy made much more sense, so before we all succumb to me attempting to make this resemble something logical, let me just reassure everyone reading that Bazille is amazing. Located on the third floor of Nordstrom's and looking like a modernly posh dining room, Bazille is often worth a trip to the Northpark Mall just to pour back a cocktail, or five. This most recent visit, lunch on a Saturday, saw us opting for tea and coffee, but the tantalizing prospect of a cucumber cooler briefly flirted with my willpower. (Side note! There used to be a cocktail called Repair Work that was somewhat apocryphal in name since you may need it after drinking it, and that seems to have disappeared from the menu.) Chad was our server, and he was the perfect balance of attentive and entertaining. He kept our visit running smoothly, and his sense of humor was a breath of fresh air compared to some of the guests milling about the mall who took themselves way too seriously. Speaking of taking things seriously, food here is nothing short of excellent. Salads and soups are mainstays for our group, but I would be doing a grave disservice if I did not place the crab mac and cheese on a verbal pedestal. That stuff is impossibly delicious, and not as filling as you would imagine. You may find you still have room for a lemon tart dessert, and, spoilers, you will want to have room for dessert. (Also, my six-year-old nephew, who is a renowned connoisseur of pizza, loves their pizzas here. So there is genuinely something for everyone!) The setting is great, the service is outstanding and the food will have you coming back for repeat visits. Best of all, you can secure your spot here on OpenTable, which may not sound like a necessity, but trust me: this place can get surprisingly busy, with the separated bar area becoming packed with locals, shoppers and people wanting to try the Repair Work after reading this review. So yeah, despite not giving it the review it deserves for years now, I'm proud to make my love of Bazille Yelp official. May it be a relationship we can carry on for years to come. read more

Absolutely LOVE the wild mushroom risotto! I always add a side of their delicious roasted chicken. The Brussel sprouts are mostly good if they aren't too charred. The hummus appetizer is nice for sharing. I highly recommend the crab Mac and cheese and tempura battered asparagus. Service is spotty, I've had wrong drink orders and the wait time for refills can be lengthy. Aside from the spotty service I'm always very impressed with the food quality and freshness. Bazille is another place I had bookmarked. So it was time to check it out. Bazille is located on the 3rd floor of Nordstrom. Food is fantasitc, for this they deserice 5 stars. What did it for me was the service....well, the lack of. 1:30pm we got sat...1:43pm the server finally came over (no need to give out his name.) I am not sure if he was about to go home or just having a bad day or both!....but we got to feel the effects of it. There was no introduction, no suggestions, no recommendation, or the question of "have you ever been in before" I felt I was taking up this guys time. With this being my first time in, this place did not appear to be a kind of place that delivered rude service. At any rate, we finally ordered.....2:40pm we received our food. I had seen the server walk back and forth a few times....he never checked on us, and it was clear, we were is only table. As I was watching him, I noticed he was eating off plates on a table close to the kitchen...I get it, he might have been on break....it just appear to me and my guest that he was eating left overs from an un bussed table.....surely not! So back to the 2:40pm.....we got our food, after we track down another server and ask her to bring it to us. We ate, finished conversation, paid the manager and never saw the mysterious server ever again. I will give this place another shot.....if I see this guys again, I will ask to move to someone else section. read more

I totally forgot about Nordstrom Bistro, but I love it & will purposely meet friends & shop at Northpark just so I can eat at Nordstrom Bistro. One thing you need to understand about the restaurants in Nordstrom: this is not to be confused with the Nordstrom cafe or coffeeshop where they might serve food- like at the Galleria. It is NOT the same! The only Nordstrom in Dallas that actually has a "Nordstrom Bistro" (the full-blown restaurant) is Northpark. Ok, moving on...! Sarah did a really good job summarzing the food & the service. It is a very comfortable place to eat in too- the design is beautiful. It is very consistent & the flavors are very gourmet. Other than the damn good pizzas & soups (crab bisque is GOOD!), I also really enjoy the salads-like the asian chicken salad with edamame, crispy red peppers, julienned carrots and wonton crispies served in this yummy teriyaki, sesame vinaigrette. It is served in a big white bowl with 2 long thin breadsticks. Oh, and the pomme frites with aioli sauce- SO GOOD!! Tip: you can order their kids meals- like chicken tenders w/ pomme frites & aioli dipping sauce or grilled cheese and they are really good- especially if you're on a budget. You can also split dishes or do half & half (like one person get a salad & the other a burger or pizza- makes for a YUMMY meal). They have the best iced tea- I stop by all the time & just get an iced tea to go from the bar which they have no problem getting for you which is wonderful to quench your thirst while you are shopping. It is perfectly brewed tea & you don't need to add any sugar, imo. They also have a bar....so if you are a fan of having a glass of wine before you shop, or just want to meet friends there, it is a good place for that. I would definitely recommend the Nordstrom Bistro for lunch over dinner just because the menu is very similar but the prices are cheaper. For lunch, with drinks, I usually get out of there for about $15-20, but it is worth it & we usually get a side of the pomme frites w/ aioli dipping sauce or get them as an appetizer. Feeling adventurous today, I deviated from my usual order of the Salmon Nicoise salad and indulged myself in a sandwich. Gasp! Oh the horror - I didn't eat a lady-like salad on a lunch date whilst shopping among some prim and proper gals. I ate carbs. And I liked it. The Honey Chipotle Chicken sandwich is not a force to with be reckoned. The grilled chicken breast adorned with lightly battered sun-dried tomatoes, a fresh and tasty spinach, the caramelized onions, and the clencher - the cumin aoli. Damn, what a wonderful sandwich those ingredients make. The bread wasn't stale or too soft and the use of each ingredient was perfectly played. In short, I am glad I ate like a champ. If you haven't eaten there before, I implore you to do so, if only for their french fries. Though, they weren't on their best behavior today, they are the skinny fries usually fried to the universal crispiness everyone enjoys and there's really no beating the kalamat aoli they are teamed up with. read more

I love their crab bisque. With a salad and a glass of wine. It makes it easier to take the mall. (Did I tell you I hate malls and shopping?) Probably should go later and just have a martini or two if I am going to do that. They have great bar that is the perfect spot to meet friends from out north. Easy on/off freeway location, nice valet service and good food. Surprisingly consistent and of course, it is Nordstrom's, so there is an expectation from the staff you will be satisfied. They work hard to make sure that you are. Their salads from the bistro are pretty close to those they serve in their coffee shop on the lower level outside the store if you are in rush. I travel a lot for work and as a single female, dining out late at night can be a drag by myself. If I am ever near a Nordstrom cafe or restaurant, I always go there! The food is consistently excellent, service is comparable to a 5 star establishment and they are always located in well-lit malls. This trip to the Bistro was unique! The table next to mine was a group of traveling food critics. They ordered what seemed like everything on the menu. I thoroughly enjoyed eavesdropping on their conversations about the food and halfway hoped they'd invite me to join their table. I think that the food critics would agree with my five star assessment of the place! Oh! And as a side note: they have really nice live music on certain nights of the week! read more

Didn't even know this place existed until this weekend. It is in Nordtrom's on the top floor and is a nice place with good food and appropriate pricing. It is a sit down restaurant with a waiter and a menu of salads, sandwiches, pizzas and entrees. I had the sausage and pepperoni pizza which wasn't amazing but was good. One of the other people had one of their sandwiches which they said was amazing. Kind of reminded me of Houston's without the 40 year old singles scene and with better service. Definitely a good all around place if you have to go shopping and need a get away without leaving the mall. read more

Who would have thought the Galleria's best chocolate chip cookie was hiding at the Nordstrom Bistro? It's not a featured item, but Nordstrom's chocolate chip cookies are excellent -- the ideal combination of chewy interior and crispy interior. These cookies handily beat Nestle Toll House Cafe's warm chocolate chip cookies. As for the dining here, it's a cut above the food court, but considerably below the Grill on the Alley (which is quite good, by the way). The Nordstrom Bistro allows you to dine in quiet setting without spending an exorbitant amount on your meal. While similar to others I have been to, the fare at this Nordstrom Bistro location was slightly less polished and tasty than those I have visited in Northern California. The salmon was nicely seared and flavorful, but covered in a thick and overpowering and simplistic lemon dill cream sauce; it was served with french beans and Israeli couscous -- both of which were fine, but not great. The lukewarm vegetable barley soup tasted (**gasp**) jarred or canned. Nonetheless, this is a good option if you want to avoid the food court without going all out. My favorite place to eat bar none! The service is great but the food is amazing!! The bar has a wide selection of drinks, special cocktails are incredible and there are TV's in the bar in case anyone in your shopping party wants to tap out. The ginger peach tea is a must. Their coffee and desserts are a dream come true. I cannot say enough about my favorite restaurant that happens to be inside my favorite store!! Bazille is one of my favorite reprieves from shopping at Northpark Mall. It's located on the top floor of Nordstrom's. The view is great, and it has large windows throughout. They have a great menu with salads, sandwiches, pastas and entrees. I love their French Fries served with an olive tapenade. They have a great Nicoise Salad with Salmon. It really saddens me to say anything negative about Nordstrom because I practically live at this place. I was not impressed. It started off well with their soup du jour-- a sweet potato curry soup. But my chicken and pasta was just weird. The chicken breast was thin and flat and the angel hair had too much acid so it was wayyyy too sour. My mother got the braised short ribs and questioned the type of meat she was eating many times. No bueno guys. read more
