Ok I've not yet tasted more than a few things on the menu but one of those things is an order of honey garlic wings. They are sticky sweet like dessert and so good! Add a simple order of white rice: delicious. The dumplings are ok but they are the fried-style. I would ask if they could steam them, instead. The kimchi dumplings are tasty and interesting. The Gangnam wings were outstanding. They were absolutely delicious. I love them. I had never had them before, and it was a good experience. They were very peppery and saucy, and they were cooked and crispy very well done. Only perk is the food took 15 minutes to be ready for pick up but that is where everything else went wrong. The chicken was very dry, not sauced well at all. Also, not made fresh to order as supposed to (usually takes minimum 30 minutes to make the real BBQ chicken). I came here excitedly when bb.q first opened. It was wonderful to be able to get such good Korean food close to home. Years later, and the food is still delicious and with an expanded menu. I decided to eat in. It stayed busy. So many customers, but they were Fast !! Service was was great, employees amiable and a TV with entertaining Korean shows. I will definitely keep coming back. I used to live in greenbelt and while visiting the area I noticed bbq chicken franchise in the shopping center. When entered I noticed fast food style counter where you order the food and pick up instead of being served. Bathroom was closed so I went over to Starbucks to get some lemonade and wash hand prior to eating. Their bathroom had number lock on it. I'm assuming it's due to customer abusing public bathrooms and I can probably guess that bbq chicken bathroom is permanently out of work order to avoid unnecessary issues. If their bathroom is out of order they should atleast have hand sanitizer station or wet tissues to give out either way purchase, but none existed. I ordered chicken wings with fried rice and bbq signature rice bowl. Fried chicken and rice was enclosed in same box so wetness from soggy fried rice transferred over to chicken making it not crispy since rice was all over the fried chicken. Fork they use is cheapest of quality where you could not scoop rice properly without fork bending in half. Extra bowls would not be given out, rather paper thin plate was given. There are places you can cut corners to maximize profit but it should not jeopardize product or experience your selling. The young African American female employee, Saffie K, was rude, curt, and had a bad attitude. She spent too much time on her cellphone instead of assisting customers. The atmosphere was unprofessional and uncomfortable, with the video dance music playing too loudly. The tables where I sat were filthy, and several on the other side of the room were as well. At no point did any staff member take the time to clean the tables. Additionally, the entry floor mat was disgusting and unclean. The hallway was blocked, preventing customers from accessing the restrooms. The food was overpriced. Although Korean chicken is one of my favorite foods, the Golden Original Chicken was too spicy, even though I ordered a dish that was not supposed to be spicy. Most importantly, the chicken tasted bland, lacked the traditional seasoning I had gotten used to, and was simply awful. The employee also intentionally failed to provide me with the dipping sauce that comes with the dumplings, forcing me to ask why it was being withheld. Overall, this has been a horrible experience and a colossal waste of money. I regret coming to this place. Historically, this restaurant has not existed long in the Greenway Shopping Center and is unlikely to improve due to the lack of competition in the area. While this location serves under the bb.q name, I would have to say the food is substandard of the typical chicken you get at other franchises. The restaurant is essentially take out only - there's maybe 3 tables with a few chairs, and the ambiance doesn't lend itself to dining in. There is also no alcohol served here, so don't expect chi-mc action. read more

my first time here was last week and I had an amazing experience. It definitely stands out from any other restaurant, especially their chicken. I'm not sure what they coat their chicken in, but it was a great idea. The wait time is about 20 minutes just because they cook to order which is perfectly fine because I will always prefer fresh food. The price is a little pricey, but I think that it is worth it. my only issue was I ordered the cheeselings fries and they gave me plain fries and this is the second time that this happened so I think they need to take their time on getting the orders correct other than that I would definitely eat here again. Okay, so I've seen that bb.q chicken replaced Samurai Hibachi & Wings for about a month now, but I kinda assumed it was just that and didn't pay it any mind until I decided to go online and see if it had a Yelp entry / was any good, etc. And that's when I had the shocking revelation: IT'S A KOREAN FRIED CHICKEN SPOT! When I learned this, I immediately got super excited. But at the same time, I was like... okay, this is PG, and I've never heard of this place... is it actually gonna be any good? I looked over their menu, and I was intrigued to see so many different flavors of fried chicken. I was like okay... what is this? There's even a "Cheesling" flavor, and I'm like huh?! I also peeped that they have a lunch special featuring their chicken, so I told myself I would wait until then to get it, since I live 2 minutes away. As I continued to explore their menu, I saw... TOPOKKI!!! It has been a long time since I've had it... literally since mid-2019. So I decided I'd get that. Btw, I was looking at the menu on my phone, so once I decided this I went inside. The inside was spacious and empty... it was a half hour before closing after all. To the left, there's a whole wall dedicated to how these wings are made. "This... bb.q chicken isn't a one-off location, is it?" I said to myself. It was so specific and sophisticated. I did notice that the wings are only fried once... isn't standard KFC fried twice? I shrugged it off... anyway, So I ordered the Topokki, $11 for a bowl's worth. It took about 10 minutes to prepare, and then I took it home... YO WHAT. My mouth was on fire and the taste of nostalgia dominated above all. That familiar chewiness of the rice cakes and the not-so-pungent fish cakes in a super spicy red sauce / soup... it was great. For anyone who hasn't had it, get it if you like heat. I was very satisfied. Fast forward to today, I had a HIIT class during lunch time and needed a workout mat. I got one from someone with a spare, and on the way over, I was asked what I wanted for lunch... and I was like okay this is the perfect opportunity! So I said "I want to try the chicken, and they have a lunch combo... surprise me with the flavor!" The lunch combo comes with 6 wings and a side at $10... first off, let me say that I love the box they come in. When I opened it, there were definitely more sweet potato fries than anything. I was like... are there really 6 wings under there? In fact, there were... now let's break it down: Sweet potato fries: just that, nothing extra. Perhaps a little salt was added, but hardly any... some seasoning would've been nice. Wings: the flavor I was surprised with was Galbi, which is sweet & savory indeed... and it has an ever so slight kick to it, but I like the flavor!! The crisp was there too, which was pleasing. Not the crispiest I've had, but still crispy. I do think the wings were smaller than what I'm used to and typically like. Does that mean they're natural? Maybe... anyways, I loved the amount of sauce on top, and the sesame seeds and scallions! All in all, I must say that this spot exceeded my expectations and I'm looking forward to trying the other flavors in time. 4 stars because I think the wings are small and that I didn't get full off of the lunch portion. I was really excited to try this new restaurant in my area. I am always looking for new small businesses to support. This one has been about for only about 2 months, so I was anxious to see how this was going to going to turn out. I order through Yelp/ Grubhub. And I am glad that I did. I ordered the wing combo which included 6 Galbi wings and sweet potato fries ( an extra $1). Although it was a delivery order my food was stuck temperature hot when it arrived and I loved that the box had ventilation to keep the food fresh. The flavor of the galbi wings were just as described a sweet with a hint of spice. The chicken was definitely crispy as any Korean fried chicken should be! I thoroughly enjoyed it! I will definitely order from here again and excited to try other flavors on the menu. With this amount of lead time, I should not be waiting past the end of my pickup window, but I was. 2. The half chicken was nothing but bone. Pretty sure I got $10 worth of bone and $4 worth of chicken. See pictures. Chicken was cut in weird pieces - please learn to correctly cut chicken. 3. Sides are extremely overpriced. Nearly $6 for a small plastic container of bland coleslaw. Fries were merely okay but not great for $6. 4. This meal left me and my boyfriend with an upset stomach. This use to be my go to place. I use to go there at least once a week. But the chef must have changed because I have been there at least 3 times and my favorite 'spicy chicken bowl' was terrible! This is unlike other bb.q Chicken restaurants. The inside was not nice, and you must squeeze through a 2-foot gap to get to the bathroom. You order at the counter and wait 15ish minutes for your food and they give you everything in takeout containers. The chicken was not crispy, and the wings themselves were really small. I ordered Soy Garlic and Gangnam Style wings, and the Gangnam style wings were doused in so much sauce it was as if the sauce was a soup.
