The lemon basil is my new favorite, even more so when dipped into their Yum Yum sauce. The Carolina Gold reminds me of honey mustard with a little extra pizzazz. The cauliflower bites (we got mild) still had a nice kick. Bring some to your veggie-head friend and relish the praise, along with the fried okra. I make it a point to try fried okra if it's on the menu, and yes. All the yes. It was cooked through with the perfect snap, so fresh. Add some mozzarella sticks if you're feeling generous. I brought those home and popped into the air fryer for 3 minutes. Perfection. Next up is the Cheesesteak egg roll. I could literally eat 4 in one sitting. After my Thursday, October 16, 2025 visit, I did the survey from the email, and unfortunately, I had a number of complaints. The next evening while in a movie, I had a missed call & voicemail. It was the manager of the Beltsville location, who apologized saying he wanted to make things right. I called him, and we had a nice conversation. He said come back to my Beltsville location anytime for a free meal. I said it might be a while before I'm back over there as I'm not in Beltsville too often. Considering the manager called and invited me in for free wings to make up for the shortcomings in October, I felt it was unfair to give them a 2-star review, and needed to judge them again when I would visit at some point in the future. The future was longer in time than I had even thought as it was about 6 months later when I finally redeemed my free wings. Tuesday, April 21, 2026 and how it compared with October 2025 visit: I did think they were a lot better overall, but a couple of areas where they didn't improve, but definitely more good than bad. Before I went over there, I called the manager earlier in the day, and he didn't remember our conversation about the free wings from October, but he said he would take my word for it. I said it's probable I'll be over there either that day (Tuesday) or Thursday that week. He said to come on in and ask for me to put in the free wings. The main gist of my complaints was that the staff in October 2025 were unfriendly. They were nicer in April 2026. I think I also remember music being loud in October, which I didn't notice in April. One of the issues, which was not addressed was lack of trash can in the restaurant. I mentioned that to them. The manager said we tell people to throw in the trash just outside of the restaurant, or we just take trash people leave behind back. I didn't love that, but it was something. Like October, the wings were great. I think they had also gotten the # of wings incorrect in October; it was supposed to be 7 & 3, and they did 5 & 5. I didn't say anything as I had limited time, but I did mention it in the survey. In October, I had put my order in online while I was at Panera walking distance to here. In April, I ordered at the counter since I had to speak with the manager to get the free wings. Overall, April was far better than October. Not sure when I'd be back at the Beltsville location. I live a lot closer to the Laurel one, so more probable I'd end up there. But I will keep this location in mind for the nice manager, better service in April, & great wings.
