One of my new favorite Korean fried chicken place! It does take a long time for your order to come however I don't mind because the chicken is cooked to perfection - crispy and piping hot! Just the way fried chicken should be! My go to sauces - Soy Garlic and Ganjeong! I also really like the Rosé Ddeok-Bokki. The sauce is really good. I have tried with cheese and without cheese. I prefer without the cheese because it overpowers the flavor of the sauce, which should be the highlight of the dish. Note that this is a self service restaurant. This means that you grab your own utensils and water. You also order your food on your phone by scanning QR code. One of things that I do not like about this restaurant and wish they can improve on is the smell. The restaurant always smells like wet dog and it does ruin the appetite. We were craving for Korean wings and wanted to check out this place. They have a long list of flavors in their menu. We chose the secret source wings, cheesy wings and cheesy fries. It took ~20 min to get the food, which was longer than expected given that not many guests were in the store (they might have a lot of pick up orders though). The secret source had a tangy and sweet taste. The cheesy seasoning was sweeter than any cheese seasoning you would expect. However, both flavors were great and I had a hard time choosing my favorite one. Service was not very satisfactory. We were asked to sit down at any table without water. Nonetheless, you seat yourself and order and pay on the app- nothing at the front desk nor does anyone help you. The guy will then bring you a carafe of water, disposable cups, chopsticks and trays for the food based on your guest count. We also wanted to get the cheesy corn side but that's only available for eat in. The chicken's exterior was nice and crispy, but the meat had an unpleasant smell. It's more sweet than it is savory (at least for this flavor) and the garlic flavor isn't too strong. The batter is light and crispy. Fries are just okay, but the portion is massive. Even with not a ton of customers, their chicken takes quite a bit to come out. It does taste super fresh though, so the wait is worth it! I also love their rose Ddeok-Bokki and I think adding cheese on top (+$2) is the move. It makes the rose sauce even creamier and adds a yummy tang. Rice cakes were perfectly chewy. I do think their prices are a bit steep for the portion size, especially in terms of the chicken, but it's really good. We got the spicy galbi and soy garlic. The soy garlic is forever my favorite here, it is super tasty and yummy, gets a tiny bit too salty but that can be fixed with some rice.
