Seafood, seafood, and how about a side of seafood? This is a very popular place . Yes, it was a Saturday evening, but at 8 PM, they still had a half hour wait for a table. I didn't know that you could call for a reservation, or get on their waitlist with Yelp. I was going to do my order to go, when I was asked if I wouldn't mind sitting at the bar. Not at all. I was seated right away, and I was helped by Allison, who was also tending bar. She was a very nice lady, and she took very good care of me. The restaurant has. A nautical theme to it. I decided to go with the Cajun chowder, and the softshell crab po' boy. . My food comes quickly, and the order was huge! It was a very good, rich chowder, with just a tiny bit of a "zip" from the Cajun spices. They definitely gave it a good flavor. There were lots of goodies inside. The one thing about the chowder, was they didn't take out the bay leaves, and I did get a couple.. I just put them off to the side. I'm not going to take off a star, because the chowder was so good. Hey, It happens.... The po' boy was huge! The softshell crab was not over breaded. I could taste the crab with no problem, and it was a little bit sweet, a little bit savory, with that wonderful "crabby" flavor. The roll was a soft roll, , but it still held up to the sandwich extremely well The lettuce, and tomato were crisp and fresh . The Cajun fries, had a little bit of a zip to them, but not too much. they came with ketchup, and their house Cajun sauce. I didn't even touch the ketchup. The sandwich already had some Cajun sauce on it, I put a little bit more. The rest, I used to dip the fries. I only made it halfway through the sandwich, and the fries. The rest came back to my room with me for another great meal. I also got another little "tub" of that sauce to take with me. The entire time, Alison was so personable, , we chatted a little bit about this and that... She is definitely an asset to that restaurant. (Tell her boss to give her a raise...:). The restaurant has a very chill vibe, almost like we are in Disneyland's Jungle cruise as they also have a Johnny Depp look-a-like statue. Very casual seating and they also have a full bar. They serve really fresh seafood, generous portions at a reasonable price for bay area. No problem with parking at all. We always get a combo set so there's a good variety of food we get vs ordering all the various sides (eg. potatoes, sausages, etc) à la carte. My favorite sauce is the garlic butter and I love their Manila Clams and Snow Crab here. Everything tastes fresh and the clams are huge! I wasn't a huge fan of the calamari since I prefer tiny fried squid pieces instead of the large cuts, but the outer batter was crispy. The weekday lunch special is pretty good (I believe it's $12 for 1 lb of shrimp and a sausage corn and potato), but my dad loves crawfish so I don't often go for that. Crawfish prices depends on if it's fresh or frozen (fresh is more expensive). The spiciness of the house sauce depends on who is cooking it that day. My server this time told us that if you can handle 2x Buldak, you could handle spicy, but there's days that spicy is spicy spicy! Check with the server before ordering because your mileage may vary. The server was also really on top of getting us straws, wipes, napkins, gloves, etc. I'm a sucker for the deep fried and the soft shell crab and oysters here are great. I prefer the garlic fries (more flavorful) to the Cajun fries (more crunchy) personally. I need greens with every meal to lie to myself that I'm healthy so I ordered the salad. Hubby and I came for a Friday lunch and were sat right away. We opted for their lunch menu which is a great deal!!! Our usual is 1lb shrimp (head-on). Their lunch version includes 1 corn, potatoes, and a few sausages for around $14. Pro-tip: We ordered 3 of these lunches even though we were 2 people and took some leftovers home. In the end, it was more economical than doing their Combo #1 which includes all of these items (a little less), and a little more expensive. lol. DRINKS: Can we talk about the Coke Zero?!? Just wanted to come on here to mention that overall, food was very good. However, I can't give this place 5 stars. We ordered 2 lobster rolls which looked nothing like what was pictured on the menu (see attached photos). I asked the waiter pointing to the picture on the menu if that was the lobster roll, and they said yes. The order we recieved was probably 1/3 of the size and did not have anywhere near the pieces or large chunks of lobster pictured on the menu. Through pictures already posted, I've found the picture of the advertised roll on the menu photo, and the real order you recieve. The menu photo appears to have around 6-8oz of lobster, whereas the real order appears to only have closer to 2-3oz. Dissapointing when the plate was placed in front of me to see the reality. We took a drive out to Milpitas to give this Cajun spot a try. Inside was cavernous with lots of seating along with a Pirates of the Caribbean (aka Captain Jack Sparrow statues) and nautical theme. There was a couple staff at the front and one gave a quick overview since we were ordering to go. Menu featured a variety of options including raw oyster, appetizers, fried foods, po'or boys and sliders, and combo boils. It took a bit over 20 minutes to deliver our order and they threw in some useful plastic gloves, bibs along with forks, paper trays and some sauces. We went with the large combo (posted on the entrance but not in the menu) that came with four pounds of seafood (whole shrimp, mussels and crawfish), corn, potatoes and sausages. Headless and deveined shrimp were extra charge if one so opted. The house special sauce had good flavors and the seafood large, meaty and not overcooked. The fried choices we ordered were a mixed bag. The calamari was disappointing with a very dry, bread like coating and a limpy consistency. Not the texture we expected. The sweet potato fries were cold by the time we got home so not the best. The onion rings was the only fried dish that stayed crisp and crunchy. The last side was the garlic noodle and it was balanced with lots of chopped garlic and not oily like we've had as other similar restaurants. Definitely . Overall double bagging of the boil kept things warm and without leaks. The paper packaging was flimsy and didn't do such a great job keeping the contents warm and needs improvement. It's usually pretty quiet, which I enjoy. If you visit on a weekend after 5 be ready for a lengthy wait! Only complaint is the bathrooms as they could use some love. The food was surprisingly so good here. The shrimp was big in size, not overcooked, and the sauce was really flavorful but also the perfect medium spice. My friend who is the spice queen said their tongue on fire spice level was actually the spiciest she's had! The garlic noodles were also sooooo garlicky and buttery and packed with flavor we ended up ordering double on those. The fries were good but lacked some Cajun flavor and felt it was a bit too crispy for me. Overall the place really hit the spot. It's a big place and can fit a lot of parties, we were able to put our party down on the waitlist beforehand. One complaint is that the bathrooms are dirty and poorly maintained, they didn't have toilet paper in the holders and lacked any paper towels after washing your hands. We happened to come during a football game, and they told us that when a game is on, the beer prices are super cheap, plus they also have great happy hour deals. Definitely a win. I love a good seafood boil and almost always order crab when a place offers it. I've been to most seafood boil spots around the Bay, but this one had been on my list for a while. We finally came here on a Saturday to celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday. We ordered a whole Dungeness crab, snow crab leg clusters in the house special sauce, fried soft-shell crab, fried shrimp, Cajun fried rice w/shrimp, and garlic noodles. Overall, the food was pretty good, but definitely not the best I've had. The house special sauce on the crab was decent, but nothing mind-blowing. The fried soft-shell crab and fried shrimp were both good and probably the highlights of the meal. The Cajun fried rice w/shrimp was just okay. It included sausage, which wasn't mentioned on the menu. That was a bit odd, especially for people who don't eat pork. The garlic noodles were also just okay flavor-wise, but the biggest letdown was the noodles themselves. They tasted more like spaghetti rather than egg noodles, which didn't really work for me. Compared to other spots, Claw Shack in San Jose and Lemon Crab in Hayward are still my favorites. We had to wait over 25 mins for the bill, the food was not fresh, and we had to remind staff for the rest of our order. To top it off, we were reminded numerous times that they were offering free appetizers by scanning a code, which required us to first rate our experience first, then we got the code for free appetizer. I was here this past Sunday evening with my wife and daughter. We ordered Dungeness crab, shrimp, and clams. The food took about 20 to 30 minutes to arrive, which wasn't a problem. The real issue was the service, or lack of it, after our food was served. We ordered Dungeness crab for my daughter, but we weren't provided with the proper tools to crack the crab legs. We waited and waited for our server to come back, but there was absolutely no follow up. Eventually, my daughter went to another server and politely asked if she could get a crab cracker. To our surprise, she was told to ask her own server. The problem was that we couldn't find our server in the first place. At that point, I went to the front and explained that our table had essentially been left unattended and that we needed a crab tool. The staff member was nice and eventually brought one over, which I appreciated. However, even after that, there was still no follow up from our server. No check in, no drink refills, and even getting our check took an unnecessarily long time. The food itself was good, but good food doesn't make up for service this poor. I shouldn't have to track down staff just to get basic things we need to eat our meal, especially when we're already waiting at the table. It has been a while since I've had seafood boil and I forgot how filling it is! We visited on a weekday for their lunch special (M-F 12-3pm). The shrimp boil is $13/lb, which seems to be a pretty good deal! The shrimp boil itself was plenty of food since it also includes corn, potato, and sausage. I went with the house special sauce and the flavors were banging. We also ordered the fried basket of fried catfish and Cajun fries and a side of garlic noodles. The sides were good, but definitely added more carbs than needed. Next time, I would skip on the sides or limit it to just one side for the table to share. read more

this is one of my go to spots for seafood boil. their lunch special is a great deal, $13 for a pound of shrimp with corn, sausage, potato on the weekdays from 12pm-3pm! Hands down this is my favorite place to have seafood boil, get my hands and face dirty. Sip on that dirty margarita with tajin on my rim. Lmao... it ain't dirty, it's so good. So glad I came and tried this place. They have an amazing lunch special where you get 1lb of shrimp head on or off, with potatoes, sausage, and corn for $13! It's a steal! The medium spice has a nice kick to it and the sauce itself is very flavorful (I ordered the house special with all flavors). I do wish they gave more sauce in the bag. It's on the thicker side. What I loved was the size of the shrimps, they were huge and the heads had a lot of flavor. The garlic noodles were nice and buttery with huge chunks of garlic. The food was good! The lunch special is super value and I like how it was a pound of shrimp plus corn sausage and potato!! The sauce was good but it wasnt very strong so I did wish it was a bit more powerful. The fries came out kind of cold and a little stale... not sure if its because it was during a lunch rush.
