We first tried their Bánh Bò Hấp, a Vietnamese sweet steamed rice cake similar to Filipino puto, at a potluck and liked it enough to come check them out for ourselves. We also tried their sesame balls, marinated pig's feet, and fresh watermelon juice, which was so refreshing! The staff were super friendly and helpful. This is a to go only place, no dining room. Had the pork fried rice, braised roast pork, soy chicken and charshu pork. I like that their steam table includes something different than other Chinese to go places; not the usual orange chicken and beef broccoli type place. Steam table includes charshu pork, braised pork, soy chicken and more. The braised pork had the roast pork but cooked on soy sauce based sauce with a hint of spicy. The soy chicken had lemongrass and garlic flavor. Charshu bbq red pork was slightly sweet and tasted like bacon but a little gamey. Pork fried rice was well seasoned. Chowmein had a different type of noodles than what I'm used but had good flavor overall. Bought the fried tofu on the side. Tofu was topped with diced grilled onion and bell peppers which gave it a sweet flavor if you eat the toppings with the tofu. All steam table items were good. I would go back to try their dimsum and roast meat items. They also sell pre packaged food if you don't feel like getting the combo items from the steam table. Nice staff. Second day into the new year of the fire horse 2026. Ocean Supermarket was closed for the holiday. I walked inside New Kim Lee fast food shop and the food varieties today was amazing. They really do prepare a lot of good quality takeout foods, especially around the new year timeframe. Lots of cakes/rolls/meats/veggies/dim sum items/eggs/etc. Must love. It was a very quiet day and only a few employees were working. Loved my lady cashier/Vietnamese lady who speaks good English. Her yellow year of the horse t-shirt was good looking. I gave her good compliments about it. I only wanted to buy eggrolls in which they usually sell 3-pieces in one order under $6 each. I purchased 12-pieces and she gave me so many packets of sweet & sour red sauces with it. I feel blessed! I was really craving for fried eggrolls today. Paid in cash. If you pay with credit card, fees are higher. Meaty pork and veggies eggrolls are always the best in flavors here. Love it. I'll revisit next time. Positive new year vibes today. read more

I had a craving for shrimp dumplings and since I was close by, I decided to drop by and take a look. I ended up getting 2 orders of shrimp dumplings and 2 orders of shumai. I'm not really a fan of shumai but after trying both items, I preferred it more than the shrimp dumplings. Both items were on the bland side but the shumai was slightly more tastier. The pork was juicy and as I kept chewing, I can definitely taste the pork fat and how bouncy the meat was. Worst!! Cheater, shady butcher!! Still can't get out of this experience. Today I was waiting in line to buy their honey Bbq pork since it is on sale for $ 11.88 per pound. When it was my turn, I told the butcher I wanted the whole piece of Bbq pork. He put in the plastic container and weighted. The pork was weighted over closed to two pounds and the meat was full n tight into the container as the whole pierce was huge. However, when time to cut, he cut into half to slice into smaller pieces but he left the other half. How did I know? Because he cut only once and didn't chop another piece. It was suspicious because the sliced pork noted to be vey little , didn't match what was weighed and the price I paid. I didn't say anything but left n tried to get it out my system. Sweet and sour pork had a weird funk to to it which made me think it was spoiled and wasn't safe to eat, so we tossed that. Sweet and sour chicken/sweet and spicy chicken or whatever it was called were over fried and hard. Everything else we had was just decent. If I'd have to compare, I'd say panda express has better food which says a lot about the entree's. Haven't tried the BBQ section but will give it a shot next time. Just got scammed... ordered couple dimsum and fried shrimp, the fried shrimp is by weight and I told them to take some out but when I got home they didn't reweight it and charged me the full amount before they took out an extra 3 or 4 pieces.. Deducted a star cuz the eggrolls I bought during my second trip there on a Wednesday around 1pm was not good at all. It was too salty and wasn't crispy. Perhaps either it was old since there were only about 16 eggrolls instead of a full tray of it like on their grand opening week. Saw some balloons today and went to check it out only to find it's still the same place with "new" added to the name. The day I went, their bbq items had that "coming soon" sign, but today they had dim sum and typical Chinese American food ie chowmein, beef broccoli, lemon chicken, kung Pao, etc. I ordered the 3 item plate, but was told my plate was counted as 2 item because I picked out veggies? Ordered beef chow fun, eggplant, and beef broccoli. $11 for 2 item and $13 for 3 item. Paid $12 with card. Came here over the weekend and was surprised to find it not too crowded. People were taking food to go and a few ate inside. If you order a combo plate they have a variety of noodles to choose from with even more side items. I loved their chow fun and the spicy tofu dish. They were both very flavorful and fresh. The pork egg roll was also one of the top items we tried. I was actually a fan of their dim sum options. We tried the har gow, sui mai, and shrimp and chive dumplings. All were delicious. I would pass on the har gow only to get more of the other items but it was still very good and fresh. The sui mai and shrimp and chive dumplings were by far some of the best ones I've tasted. The sui mai had chunks of shrimp in the pork filling. The shrimp and chive was not too thick of a dough in the outside and was cooked perfectly and not chewy or undercooked as I've had at other places. She looked so annoyed with me when I told her I said chow mein. She insisted that I said fried rice but I did not. My boyfriend was on FT with me when I ordered on the phone and heard me clearly saying chow mein. He confirmed to me he heard the whole thing and that I absolutely did not say fried rice.
