Y-Linh Sandwiches is one of many Vietnamese eateries serving bánh mì mi, pate chaud and coffee/tea at a price hard to beat. I came by on a Friday morning you can placed your order via kiosk or at the front counter. Friendly staff always attentive and polite. I chose four pork and chicken patê chaud at a mere price of $2.50 each. Their banh mi sandwiches are price under $9 served on a freshly bake baguette generous portions mixed veggies a great combination. Best bánh mì and patê chaud definitely be back for more. There's no dine-in or outdoor seating mainly take-out orders.

Not my absolute go-to when it comes to Banh Mi but a solid Vietnamese sandwich shop!! I'd easily come here if I were in the area and was having cravings. Y-Linh Sandwiches specializes in Vietnamese banh mi and these delectable carbs are freshly baked from scratch, in-house daily. Here you will find about 15 different options to choose from. Other popular ready to eat items available for purchase are: spring rolls, pate chaud [golden flaky puff pastry filled with meat], and che. 4 stars for the Banh Mi, 1 added star because the staff is so nice. It's not everyday you meet welcoming staff at these establishments providing good customer service. KUDOS, Y-Linh!!

Love the crunch on these sandwiches! Easily the best banh mi I've had. The place is in a plaza that has seen better days. There's also nowhere to eat inside. Even though they accept cards, there's a surcharge for credit cards, and not debit cards. This is not obvious and the fee isn't charged until you tap your card and realize the total just went up without you explicitly agreeing. The cashier nor the manager were able to immediately reverse it. They also gave me the wrong order. Check your sandwiches and bag. I unwrapped it inside the bag and noticed. They then gave it to the correct customer even though I just touched it.... Service and sanitary practices can be improved on to say the least...

5 stars...this place doesn't deserve anything less than 5 stars! The interior is clean and modern with an easy to use order tablet. Our favorite is the roasted pork banh mi (thit heo quay) which we order in large quantities to eat both immediately and over the next few days. My parents love them because it reminds them of the traditional banh mi's they would eat in Vietnam- roast pork, soy sauce, and soft baguettes. Please open more locations (East Bay perhaps?). We won't stop frequenting here! 10/10 recommend!

First time visiting this location of Y-Linh Sandwiches. I've been to the other in East San Jose. This is located in a large shopping plaza near Ocean Market, Omega Restaurant, etc. There is PLENTY of parking, though, maybe at peak hours the closer spots are taken. When you walk in, you notice that its very spacious and has new-ish decor. They offer other items as well like pate chaud, fresh springrolls, pork floss, Vietnamese fruit & coffee drinks, etc. I was here for their sandwiches! I got the Pork Belly Banh Mi: Pork belly, house mayo, pickled veggies cucumber, onion, jalapeño, cilantro, house sauce (4/5). They asked if I wanted it cut in half? Yes, please. The bread was toasty warm, good crunch, yet not too bready. The meat was flavorful and tender. The vegetables added that freshness in each bite. Support your local business! Check them out.

I heard Y-Linh Sandwiches serve up some amazing Baguette Sandwhiches around here in Milpitas. I've seen this Sandwhich Shop all the time on Nights, going down E Calaveras Blvd. I didn't have a good reason to go, until now. Today, I'm in the South Bay Area. I had to check-it-out. I got the usual Grilled Chicken Bánh Mì and a Cup of Cà Phê Sữa Đá. This Pic is from today, Friday. The Bread is Baked so differently, than the rest of the one's that I had out there, so fresh, and the Crunch on it is phenomenal. This is probably one of the best Sandwhiches I ever had. I can see why they're so popular. I was thinking this was going to be a 3.9-4.3 stars, this could be a 4.3/4.4 stars on a good day, I want to give this 4.3/4.4 stars, but I give this 4.3 stars out of 5 stars. It was Smack.

    5. Roasted Pork Sandwich but I added do chua (pickled veggies) after taking a bite
    Oanh L.

I really enjoyed my heo quay / crispy roast pork sandwich! It does not come automatically with pickled veggies so I will remember to add it when I get next time. The pork tastes so fresh and crispy. I also got my mom a white and yellow che that they said it's a best seller and she said it was very good. I don't know the name lol.

I ordered #8. Eggs and Chinese sausage. Complete disappointment!!! Not worth the almost $10 for this!!! No flavor ( where is the soy sauce??) and the sausage was a thin slice. The cucumber was thicker than the protein. I will not be back ever.

Food- 5/5 I had their vegetarian banh mi. The bread was fantastic. You can tell it's fresh off the oven. It's not often you get a bread that's so flaky and crunchy yet soft texture at the same time. The filling was great too. Very generous portion and I like how I can bite into the shredded tofu (unlike some other stores where the shredded tofu was so thin and overfried/hard. Filling consist of the usual pickled daikon, carrots, tofu, jalapeño. I had their Vietnamese coffee too. Asked for less sweet/condensed milk and it came out with the perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness from the caffeine. Love it. Service - need to wait a little bit longer which I don't mind waiting considering the freshness of the bread. Ambiance - clean and very well organized store with ample space to spread out while waiting for our order. This is more of a grab and go shop although they do have a couple chairs and one table available for those who want to eat here. I will definitely come back again when I'm in the area.

Look at all the FRESH goodness YUM!

The most impressive aspect of dining here is the freshness of the produce. A lot of their main entrees are paired with a platter of herbs and lettuce which always taste insanely fresh, as well as a plate of pickled carrots and radish, bean sprouts, and cucumbers. Using the provided rice paper to make your perfect rice rolls with your choice of protein is not only really amusing, but seriously so delicious because you get to make the rice rolls exactly how you like it! My favorite appetizers include the Banh Xeo and the Cha Gio (they have 2 variants and they're both great)! As for entrees, I almost always order from their Banh Hoi options. Banh Hoi is a sheet formed from layered rice noodles and it's always the perfect compliment to their various meat options when placed inside the rice rolls. If you ever come with a big group of friends and family, order a catfish! It comes with the same previously mentioned herbs and vegetables and having a group of friends digging into a whole roasted catfish is such a life altering experience. The catfish varies in market price based on the weight of the fish, and depending on how big your group is, you might just be able to finish the whole thing! The kitchen cooks it to such a delectable tender doneness and they top it with fresh garnishes and fried onions, giving it a delicious aroma. If you're ever in the Milpitas area, I recommend you check out Anh Hong Saigon! The front of house employees are super efficient and the food always comes out so fast and so consistent.

Pho Kim Long is located inside fairly nondescript strip mall. The front of the restaurant looked quite small to me, but it was actually very big and spacious inside with lots of seating. It was also quite modern and clean compared to what I expected based on the outside. There were a few tables outside (not sure if you can actually sit there), but I recommend sitting inside. Overall, we thought the food was fantastic. We ordered beef pho, chicken pho, and the grilled pork and egg roll with noodles. Everything tasted great even though it was takeout and eaten three hours after picking it up. The portions felt reasonable, and I really liked that they gave a good portion of protein with the pho, along with a good portion of vegetables. The egg rolls were packed separately which made them quite tasty (note the egg rolls have shrimp in case anyone is allergic). If you haven't tried it, it's well worth a visit. I went to pick up food about 30 minutes before they closed their lunch service, and there was plenty of seating and no lines. Two people walked in for dine-in service at the same time, and they had no problem getting seated even though it was fairly near their midday closing time.

Out of everything, I definitely recommend the tom yum fried chicken, mushroom hot pot and the laksa fried rice! Although the fried chicken doesn't have tom yum flavor, they fry the chicken very well, and the tom yum dipping sauce is on pointtt. The mushroom hot pot is definitely a favorite of mine. They give a lot of food -- it is warm, comforting. The broth also has a lot of flavor as well. The fried rice is definitely a top fave. They do a wonderful job incorporating the wok hei, which not a lot of restaurants can do. It is very present throughout the rice, and elevates the rice past the laksa flavor. The pineapple was a great touch and give it a hint of sweetness. I would pass on the wild mushroom conservative. It feels like they just stirfry it in butter, and that was it.
