Came here with a friend because I really wanted some Galbi Jjim and this place definitely did not disappoint. It's a decent sized restaurant in Milpitas, with a bunch of other restaurants, so while there's limited parking in front of the actual restaurant, there's a much larger parking lot a little bit away from it. Once you go inside, there's a lot of booths, but they can be a little tight if you're a bigger person (like myself) but they're not too bad otherwise. I ordered Galbi Jjim and my friend ordered bibimbap and both were very delicious and VERY large portions. The Galbi Jjim can easily feed 2-3 people, especially when you add in the very generous bonchon selection you get. It was very well done, ample meat, a good amount of veggies, and so on. The bibimbap also was an excellent sized portion, though I'd recommend the stone bowl, so it stays warm the whole time. They have a pretty good menu and not super expensive like other places in the area, so I'll definitely be back to check out the BBQ options!

I love jang su jang. It's my favorite nourishing solo meal spot. I love the spicy cold noodles and I love the dine in panchan (side dishes). I learned that you get 8 side dishes when dining in but only 4 side dishes if you do take out. I've also tried the acorn noodles which was really tasty. It was so much much for one person though so I would definitely recommend getting it for 2 people or packing some to go. We've been here for Korean bbq but may have ordered the wrong things. I just continuously get impressed by their side dishes and how nourishing it is with the added soup as well. Everything under $30, my noodle dish with panchan. Great solo dinner spot or with a friend! Lots of space inside.

The LA Galbi is amazing here and the portion size and taste is same as it was 7 years ago. I love this place. Server Yeonhee was amazing and funny and warm. The ambience is nice. I also had a woman with a bob give me extra kimchi daikons before i left. They were wonderful

Service was great, ladies were very helpful and friendly...not very busy on a weds night...I guess the slow business night contributed to food not tasting very fresh...japchae and mayo based banchan had slight spoiled taste...beef rib soup was under seasoned tho rib was tender, but overall bland...seafood pancake also under seasoned, even when dipped in sauce it didn't taste right...maybe the head chef went home early because the food served on this weds night was disappointing, will not be back

Jang Su Jang is a solid Korean spot in the bay! It feels very welcoming and comforting when you walk in. There's plenty of seating so we got seated right away in one of the booths. The inside is spacious and they have regular seating and seating for kbbq. We ordered a la carte and everything came out pretty quick. The banchan was delicious and the waitress kept refilling whenever needed. The rose tteokboki was a bit too creamy for me and not spicy enough but was still good. The bibimbap and tofu soup were flavorful and delicious. I would come back again whenever I'm craving some comforting Korean food!

Visited on a weekend lunch. We had a party of 7. Classic korean. It was half full. Luckily we had reservation just in case. We got the Bibimbap, Seafood Pancake, Dumpling Rice Cake Soup and Tofu Soup. Banchan was good. And everything came out pretty quick. The Tofu Soup had lots of tofu and beef in it. The Bibimbap satisfied my spicy craving. Dumplings in the soup were great too! Quantity isn't bad here. We will be back to try the barbecue next time Service was ok. And inside was clean! Private lot in front

Came here yesterday night around 7pm for dinner because I was craving soup and wanted something to soothe my throat. We drove a bit out of the way because my boyfriend wanted a Korean restaurant that served Galbi jjim so we both could eat what we wanted. Upon arrival, it was packed inside but we were able to get seated immediately. For a Monday night, wow. We ended up ordering the Galbi jjim with cheese and I got the Galbi tang. We did want to try the steamed egg, but it seemed like too much food haha. The Galbi tang came out first and the broth was so hearty and flavorful. It helped soothe my throat a lot. The noodles inside are wider and the meat cuts were different than I'm used to at other restaurants. When the bowl came out, it reminded me of pho but Korean style. I'm glad I doubted the meat cuts because it exceeded my expectations. The meat ended up being SO tender. It wasn't dry either like some other places. The meat had a combination of meat and fat with each bite. My boyfriend throughly enjoyed the Galbi jjim. The portion here is so big which is why they charge so much. The sauce was packed with flavor and spice while the cheese helped balance out the dish well. Good assortment of nutritions with the meat and veggies in here. I would definitely come back here again when me and my boyfriend are both craving galbi jjim and galbi tang. I would like to try the steamed egg and seafood pancake next time too!

It's been a while since we've been back and actually eat in person. Generally we're grab and go type of people but we had family visiting so we ate in person this time. In short, a little pricey, but hearty Korean food with friendly service. L O C A T I O N Jang Su Jang is off of Calaveras Blvd. In the same plaza as Grocery Outlet and Paris Baguette. The parking siutation here is horrible especially during peak eating times. Since they're basically competing with a few other very popular restaurants and they all share the same parking area. I N S I D E There are bbq grilling stations with the exhaust right above the tables if you're going to to do that. But it's a spacious restaurant. Just be forewarned, you will smell like food. M E N U Menu hasn't changed in the years but of course the prices have. Darn inflation. The food quality seems to go up and down. Compared to the last time we had seafood pancake here, it seems like we're back on the up. I don't think you can go wrong here, everything is really good. The ban chan also the most diverse I've seen though I wish they had jap chae as a ban chan. The dumpling tofu soup was delicious especially on a cold day. Definitely cleans up your sinuses. The spicy pork was the right amount of spicy and I did appreciate that the pieces were minced as I have issues chewing these days. The LA Galbi was fine. I didn't concentrate on eating that as we were more focused on the more spicy items as our other family members don't particularly like spicy foods. S E R V I C E Service was good. Though we did end up having to ask about our Seafood pancake as we were eating everything else that was ordered and it was yet to come. I guess it takes a bit of time. I do wish they had more napkins on the table outside of the one they give you. I guess we could ask for more which we did and they did give it to us. I forgot that they used to give a yogurt drink at the end of meals and they don't do that any more. Bummer. O V E R A L L The prices are a bit shocking to be honest, but you get a lot of food. It was nice to eat inside though I did smell delicious in the end. Lots of variety and there's something for everyone. Definitely check them out!

We were seated right away at 430pm before dinner rush-hour. After we ordered the food and the series of delightful banchans ( small plates of sides ) arrived. We ordered 1 appetizer and 2 entrees arrived in generous portions and plenty for 3 adults. Love the authentic Korean style sit-down grill center on tables which you can cook yourself or be served.

Solid Korean restaurant with lots of options for everyone. I like that they cover all sorts of different types of Korean food. All the food was delicious and very authentic. They also gave lots of sides and provided refills when we asked.

We decided to go with the premium AYCE for $68 pp. Your party gets to order 2 orders of meat pp to start off with and then it is one order pp per round subsequently. There is the usual 90 min time limit before you're cut off. I have to mention, I'm a big fan of Ushiya so came with preconceptions. First and foremost, meat quality is amazingly good and the portions are large! We actually only got through 2 rounds (3 plates of meat) per person before we were tapping out. The wagyu fried rice was delicious and I enjoy all their appetizers and sides. The home made kimchi, marinated cucumbers, seaweed soup, egg yolk dipping sauce, all delicious! Service got alittle slow when more large parties came but once they were settled with their order, service picked up again. I wish they had a qr ordering system to request items, that is one thing missing. Overall, loved dinner! If you don't mind the price point and want a more higher quality Japanese AYCE grill, this is the place.

Surprisingly they were out when we first arrived but they were available later during our meal. A steal for $1! (5 stars) + Wagyu skewers were tender and another steal at $2 each. Might not be true Wagyu, but it's tasty and well-seasoned. (5 stars) + A-choy vegetable individually stripped on a flat pan, bursting with flavor and a great pairing with skewers and rice. (4 stars) + Cauliflower skewers were surprisingly good--slight crunch but not raw, with a nice cumin touch. (4 stars) * Free kids' meals--chicken nuggets, fries, and a yogurt drink. The nuggets were crispy and better than fast food, and those fries were fresh and hot. (5 stars for value!) ~ Dan Dan noodles had a sweet, nutty flavor--my wife loved them, but for me, they were just okay. (3 stars) ~ Bacon-enoki skewer was a hit with my wife, but I thought the bacon had an off taste. It's decent if you like softer bacon. (3 stars) - Spicy squid stir-fry was a miss--squid was cooked fine, but the sauce was simple soy based and didn't stand out. Good value for $10 but wouldn't order it again. I ordered one of their meal packages, plus some extras on the things we needed more of. the meal package was supposed to include 2 types of bbq sauce plus ranch for the wings. they didn't give us any of the bbq sauces or the ranch. considering they charge $5 each for sides of sauces, that's $15 they shorted me. so we had dry chicken wings with nothing to dip them in... which means nobody wanted to eat them. there's another $25 I was out. we ended up having to use the bottled sauces that I bought as a gift... another $20 gone. pulled pork was fine. the brisket was pretty tough. my dad usually loves leftovers and didn't want to keep any of it... so that said a lot about the meal all by itself. the positives (?): cornbread was pretty good. wolf turds were good (though crazy expensive for what they are - only 2 come in an order for over $10). mac and cheese was good, though it has far less meat than it used to. all in all, not a positive experience. seems like they've really gone downhill. if you order to go, check your order carefully before you leave. they had everything ready when I got there and had tied the bags shut (double knotted), so it would have been hard to get them open. do yourself a favor tho and take the time to open each bag. it sucks to get all the way home and find key items were left out.

I got a fried chicken plate with a side of mac and cheese and collard greens. My husband got the mango habenero wings and fries. The kids shared brisket and mac and cheese. The chicken was crispy, well seasoned and hot, the brisket soft and smoky, the mac and cheese was possibly the best mac and cheese I've ever had in my life (I'm not a huge meat eater in general so this was my favorite)???? The collard greens were flavorful and a hint of spice. We have little kids so we find ordering delivery easier but I noticed on their website they do Soul Sundays with live music from 1:30-3:30...and I really want to try to make that work one day. All in all very pleased with this lovely lunch we had for Father's Day!

My girl & I came in last friday for the first time, was extremely pleased w the warm & expedient…read moreservice. They had so many people working & each one of em was excellent! I felt very comfortable with my date as there was plenty of seating, instead of doing the short wait for the dining room we opted for the bar seating as thats something we often do when dining out:) we weren't sure what to order because anything & everything here looks bomb & sounds good on the menu. the bartender was sweet asl & so were the drinks so we get the chicken & waffles and a smoked brisket plate that came w greens & mac and ill just emote here‍I really like the seasoning of the chicken, its a lil more complex & a lot more flavorful than the chicken & waffles we're used to getting at restaurants brisket was on incredible, sides were awesome, we definitely gotta bring family here when they come out to visit us & enjoy everything off the menu. chill ambiance, excellent space, my ONLY regret is we didn't get anything from the bakery because that all looked bomb too we just had a cake we had to finish waiting for us in the fridge s/o the staff for being so accommodating & incredible, we can't wait to pull up again sometime soon!

The location that we went to is located next to Maggiano's Little Italy in Santana Row on Olin Ave. There is a free 2 hour parking structure across of the restaurant where my boyfriend and I parked at. We came during their Lunch Specials (until 4pm) and Happy Hour (from 3-5:30pm) which worked perfectly as we wanted something smaller in portion compared to the dinner portions. We started off with drinks. I got their Pig Ol' Bitties Blonde Ale, and my boyfriend got their Friday Beer & Shot special of This Little Piggy Went to [Mark]et with a 16 oz Dirty Little Pig IPA and a shot of Benchmark whiskey. My fault for having him get a whiskey shot on an empty stomach, though HAHA. He did like how smooth the whiskey was at least! We shared a 2-meat BBQ Lunch Combo Plate, and honestly, we should have gotten 3 meats because of how tender and delicious everything was! We got their Tri Tip and Sliced Brisket with their Garlic Mash and server recommended Sweet Potato Tots. Ahhh, everything was so good! Aside from the tender, flavorful meats, the two sides, especially the garlic mash, were sooooo good. We both loved everything! It was definitely a great choice coming during lunch as we were quite full after ordering one of their happy hour shareables of Chips & Queso (kind of pricey even for happy hour in my opinion for chips and cheese). Honestly wished we got their Chili Cheese Fries or their other fries which were the same price than just chips and dip LOL. But it was a good hold over food with us drinking a bit (at least for me). Shoutout to the only server who was working on a late Friday afternoon as she was doing her best to accommodate everyone + trying to clean up the previous tables. It was kind of sad seeing that the other workers didn't help bus the tables in my opinion. Overall, a great place to watch sports and have some good whiskey as this restaurant is known for their whiskey selections! The lunch BBQ exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely come back for another lunch special meal but probably with 3 meats this time!

My sister wanted bbq for her birthday and so we opted for this place. i loved they way that it was decorated. it's like a bar and bbq served in one place. Since i've never been here before i was really surprised by their portion sizes. it was well worth the money spent and picking up was easy too. super nice guys who helped me. i was a bit confused on what kind of sauces they had. the person who helped me gave me a run down and explained their sauces. they also gave me some samples to try to take home as welll. by far i think id have to agree that their tin roof sauce is the best sauce my sister even wanted to know if she could just buy their bbq sauce. other then that we ordered roughly a good portion of bbq- pulled pork, cheddar cheese jalapeño sausage, burnt ends, brisket, chicken wings, and ribs. our sides were the cajun rice, green beans, cole slaw and corn succatash. would probably love to come back for their lunch special one of these days.
