Garlic Spicy Wings and Soy Garlic Wings with pickled Radish
    Karen C.

Great Korean Fried Chicken Joint! This is a casual chicken and beer place. We came on a Saturday night and most tables were occupied. The staff are very nice and attentive. Food: Soy garlic wings: These wings are my favorite. Perfectly seasoned sauce with still a crispy exterior wing. The wings also come with pickled radish with gives a nice acidity to cut through the fried fattiness of the fried chicken. Spicy garlic wings: These give a slow spicy burn that builds over time with a gochugaru/gochujang garlic sauce. Good, but too spicy for me to eat more than a few. Waffle fries: I really liked the seasoning on the fries and the crispy texture was on point. In my opinion, waffle fries are the best ratio of potatoey to crisp! Loved CM and so glad there are more of them around these days. Will be back for more chicken!

We ordered takeout on a Sunday for lunch. We were able to order online for pick up. They open at 11:30am and our food was ready at the time we expected. They have a large dining area, which is nicely decorated and they have plenty of parking available outside. The fried chicken can be a bit pricey but the flavor is great. For wings entree we got 9 pieces for $17.99. The wings are relatively large too. We also got sides of pickled radish and curly fries.

The food was alright, not too good. They have music playing kpop and some other shows going on that make no sense. Politics dont need to be at a food location where one goes to relax with friends

Pickup order for half spicy soy garlic with side order of coleslaw and small snow sauce and sliced onions. Chicken was awesome, wasn't disappointed, however skip the coleslaw. It was under seasoned and compare to Glenview location, the price is the same but it comes in a 8oz container where as Glenview gives theirs in 16oz container. Additionally the pickled radish in the 8oz comes half filled... and it needs more sugar and vinegar! Skip the radish as well.

Service is always friendly and prompt. One of the best kimchi fried rice ever. Not spicy, flavorful and savory with a fried egg on top. We always order the wings, favorites are honey garlic and snow onion. Always crispy outside and juicy inside. Thank you for a delicious meal and we always comeback or order takeout. Wings are always a hit at parties.

Choongman Chicken, or as the cool kids call it, CM Chicken, has added a location in Schaumburg. Add this to your list of Korean fried chicken, as this is definitely a place to check out. The place is decent sized, with several tables and chairs. There's a call button on the table, and you order off the menu. There's a little tin trash bin to throw away any bones and a water bottle for the table. We ordered... all in wing format: Snow onion -- a generous amount of thinly sliced onions, placed on top of the wings. I don't know what exactly they do to prepare the onions, but it was not overpowering at all, and was a delight to eat, in between bites of chicken. The chicken had a really nice sweet and savory sauce to it Lemon Green Onion Chicken -- Crispy chicken topped with sliced green onions mixed in our signature lemon dressing. Again, the green onion wasn't overpowering at all. Red Hot Pepper Chicken Crispy and tender chicken tossed in our addictive gochujang sauce. This was my absolutely favorite! The sauce is not that spicy and if a wimp like me can do it, you can too! All chicken was cooked perfectly and crispy, as you would expect from Korean fried chicken. Man, I never had good fried chicken, until Korean fried chicken. This is the only KFC I'm going to recognize from here on out. Sorry Colonel Sanders. BATHROOM REVIEW: Located at the very back, the bathroom was decent and clean. Everything was working as expected, and everything smelled fantastic. Not sure what air fresheners they use, but it was nice. Sit or squat? Sit!

Casual unassuming place with excellent food quality and service. Perfect chicken wings, crispy and crunchy on the outside and well done in the inside, just how it should be. Calamari is equally appetizing with light breading and tender meat.

came on a thursday around 5:30 and it was pretty empty. we ordered fries and they were perfectly crisp. wouldn't be shocked if they were double fried. we ordered a curry half chicken and a soy garlic half chicken. both were delicious but the chicken was pink (some more than others)...it tasted cooked but i felt weird eating it. 4 hours later and i feel fine still though! i love the flavor of the curry which was a new one we opted to try, but the soy garlic is still my favorite! friendly service as well. i'll be back if i'm in the area but only if i feel like spending $55 (for 2 people total).

The food definitely stands out in terms of quality. It is most comparable to places like Canes , with the chicken/fries/toast combo. Everything comes out hot and cooked to order. The portions are a good size and it all tastes fresh. The dirty sodas were a fun thing to try out. During my visits, I tried the "Toasty Marshmallow" (Mr Pibb) and the "Float On" (Barqs) . Both are sweet combinations and are fun treats. And who wouldn't love a free ice cream cone while you wait, or after your meal? I thought it was unique that in addition to vanilla there was a banana cream flavor. The gals at the counter shared they try to switch it up. I loved the size of the tender meals offered and generous portion that stretched to two meals for me. Interesting, the cole slaw was the highlight of my meal, with the fresh flavor and complimented the tenders and crinkle fries well. My lime, coconut dirty soda tasted like vacation in a diet coke and I wanted to add a shot of rum to it! Friendly service and a short wait time were much appreciated, as I ordered my food to go. My husband's hot Nashville chicken sandwich was tasty and just the right amount of heat for him (but too hot for me)!

The individual at the counter was very friendly and gave me recommendations after telling him it was my first time. I love buffalo wings, and he recommended the smash burger. Food wise, it's not bad, but it's not great. I personally prefer my wings to have the crispy skin exterior where theirs is made with what seems to just be the chicken+sauce. Reviewing a spot like this is interesting since for me personally I take into account how much I paid for the meal compared to how good it is. For this burger and 6 wings, the total came out to be $24.68. If this meal somehow could be closer to something like $15-$20, I'd probably give it four stars and return some day. I get it's a difficult in this economy, but I've had better for cheaper.

Upon entering, there were 3 different menu boards, pizza & salads, wings, chicken sandwhiches & sides. We decided to go with a plethora of chicken options, and they were all fantastic. The guy taking our order was super friendly and said they had been there for about 2 months now! For the food, we started off with a 6 count wings, medium spice were tossed in a dry rub, and reminded me a bit of nashville hot chicken where the heat builds on to itself. The wings themselves were crisp and juicy. Next up was a small order of chicken bites, also crisp and seasoned with no heat. It had a good flavor to it. The third thing I ended up getting was the fried okra... 2 orders to be exact, and it did not last long. We gobbled them up on the drive home and through the meal. It was a very solid choice. Last was my partners order he ended up with a chicken sandwich, no coleslaw, and loaded fries. He gives it a stamp of approval, reminds him of that more southern comfort like food vibes, and we'd be back! All the food came with a dipping sauce that had a decent flavor profile to it. A little cajun like but not quite is my best way to describe it. Overall, I definitely recommend giving this place a try, and hopefully, you will enjoy it as much as me!

Now I can't speak to ambiance- all I've got to go on is the service when ordering and getting the food- now that that's clear let's start! We ordered the Caniac Combo and asked if they had lemonade as we didn't see it on the menu board- why,yes indeed, they did! They repeated the order and asked if that was all- a quick moment later I said - let's add a side of Texas Toast, fries, and a coleslaw. For some reason when we got to the window they thought we'd canceled the Caniac Combo and wanted the sides! No No no. What go to a chicken place if we didn't want the chicken? So add back the Caniac Combo please! Then they asked if we still wanted the three sides still? Ummmm ....yes? We ordered the sides so we could split the tenders in the Caniac and both of us would get sides. Seemed kinda clear to me? Needless to say they almost forgot to give us the lemonade at the window- and had to be reminded. I think they weren't paying much attention. Sad. We got home, split up the food, and began eating. The chicken was just ok and needed to be reheated - the fries were cold (!) and had to be popped into the microwave too - really! Taters usually stay hot a long time. Not these. Hoo boy. Once reheated they were ok. The coleslaw doesn't hold a candle to KFCs but it was serviceable. So that explains why it had been years since our last visit. Hmm. Another five years from now we'll try again. But hopefully they focus on the food being hot and fresh and improve the customer experience- else they'll deserve to decline and die off.
