[[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor was nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was hopeful to get a delicious, fun coffee. I ordered a large vanilla milkshake with two shots of espresso, 11.75. I assumed it would be like an affogato blended. It tasted like a watered down coffee with milk. The consistency was like milk. I asked the employee to add more ice cream because it was not a milkshake. She said the ice cream was soft. It was by far the worst coffee I've had. No love in the making and it was bland. She apparently just poured the hot espresso on the soft cheap ice cream and it melted. This recipe needs to be improved. Waste of money. Starbucks at its worst does better than this. First visit and last. In addition to the pricing advertised online was different than in the store.

Avocado toast with eggs and a side of bacon

At a price point of nearly $30, I was expecting a bit more. This is a walk up situation. You place your order on a screen and seat yourself. I assumed, incorrectly, that it was a full service establishment. I'm glad I can say I've been, but I won't be back. The avocado toast consisted of cherry tomatoes, with macerated avocados, and balsamic drizzle, over sour dough. The eggs- were supposed to be over easy- were over hard and I have reason to suspect they were "cooked" in a microwave. The bacon was.... Edible. The iced black coffee was the best part of the meal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor uses a lot of faux vines and plants to achieve its aesthetic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And for all intents and purposes the staff seem lovely. Just at this price point and for what you're getting.... It's not worth it. Mayors Cafe or the coffee shop by the hotel are better bites.

This was my first time at this restaurant. To drink, we got the strawberry milk tea with strawberry popping boba and the matcha milk tea with strawberry popping boba. Matcha is extra for boba. Also, they don't have normal tapioca and instead have brown sugar popping boba. The staff was very kind and helpful and answered our questions and gave some recommendations off the menu as well. The matcha was very good, pretty standard matcha taste. I wouldn't say it tastes the most authentic or anything, but it had a good flavor and the strawberry popping boba paired well with it. The strawberry boba, however, was something... It tasted pretty artificial is the best way I could put it, I couldn't drink more than a sip. We also got a cookie and cream cookie which was questionable. Kind of tastes like absolute raw sugar and also just not like cookies and cream. I like sweet things, but this wasn't just sweet, it tastes like sour cookie dough. I'd be willing to come back to this location in the future and try their actual food items but I probably would not come back for their boba or deserts.

    Brownie and chocolate croissant

This place is tucked away in the shopping center. The decor was super cute and picture worthy. The service was great there was only 1 other couple there. The brownie and chocolate croissant were really good, so good I hate to get an extra. The iced chai, however lacked chai. It tasted more like milk than anything. That is why they get the 3. I love chai lattes so the fact that I could barely taste it didn't let me enjoy it as much.

The food was excellent, I found this place just googling a breakfast spot in the area and I can say the waffles were my favorite. The service was quick. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is nice very light and spacious.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Loved this cute bakery.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have sandwiches and burgers and breakfast all day. They have an assortment of coffees and teas as well. I had the prosciutto panini and an American coffee and my husband had the Philly cheesesteak panini and white chocolate mocha. The food was great and so was the coffee. The server who attended us was courteous and professional. We came for lunch and it was so nice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not too much noise, calm and private.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will be back here again! I highly recommend BB's bakehouse.

Large taro boba tea with mango boba

Arrived at BB's Bakehouse around 4:45 pm on a Sunday. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a nice cozy venue with a pretty extensive menu.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered a Large Taro Boba Tea with Mango boba (2% whole milk) . This is the first restaurant that's I've seen a different boba ball flavors , ranging from Mango, Almond and a few more. I would give the actual boba tea a 3-5 stars for its flavor profile, it could be the combination of taro and mango that throws it off for me ‍ [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a nice spot though and I would recommend it for a nice morning or afternoon stroll. It's a great intimate experience for a quick coffee and pastry.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Came to bb's for a baby shower. Was kind of surprised that a coffee shop would host a shower, but was excited for some good coffee. It really did not disappoint. The food was delicious: sandwiches, empanadas, charcuterie, and a few other things. Their latte was amazing and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the place was super cute.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had a blast and o can't wait to go back.

Check out the Tico Poop Emoji Cookie. A must try!!!

Avocado toast with eggs. Medium 16 oz Iced Shaken Espresso

The BEST avocado toast in the area! I can't get enough! Also the shaken espresso was superb!!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Super cute local family owned cafe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was fast and they had a convenient ordering screen that I could take my time ordering.

We went on a weekday celebrating a bday. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Pretty empty in a weekday not sure about the weekend.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great place to celebrate a bday w brunch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. the things we ordered were pretty good. We ordered a bottle of champagne since it was a better deal than individual mimosas. Great to go w a group everyone orders their own things at the counter and seats and wait till they bring to table.

We decided to give it another chance today since we were interested in purchasing meat, but it was even worse. There was a bowl of artichokes sitting right next to the meat that was visibly moldy. That's a serious cleanliness and food safety issue. Definitely not a place I'd feel comfortable buying food from.

I asked the attendant at the fronr what type of restaurant was it. She told me that it was typically Argentenean, i know rgat they are famous for their meats and I dont like eatibg meat in restaurants bc of how it is cooked so I asked for a tuna sandwich with french fries to play it safe. My husband had the lasagna. My sandwuxh was good, no compkaints about that but, my ordwr of fries were brown and soggy. They looked as though they were fried in old oil that had been used over and over. The couple behind me were comokaining that there steaks were not cooked to their liking and complained to the manager, who after a discussion with the couple went as far as to say they needed to learn cooking tetmuminology. Well we my husband also mentioned to the owner about cooking in old oil. U had a desert that was told it was a mousse. It was hard, definuteky wasnt mousse tasted more likw an old parfait. Just glad I didbt eat meat.

I woke up in Hialeah and counted the days remaining until we sailed for Havana. "Too many," I…read morethought, and, rolling out of bed, continued my hunt for south Florida's best Cuban pastry. After checking Yelp for "pastelito" and "most reviewed" I settled on a popular bakery, BreadMan Miami, which was conveniently, if counter-intuitively, housed in Hialeah. I called for an Uber. My driver, Julian, picked me up, and as we left my hotel, he double-checked my destination and, with solicitude in his voice, asked, "Breadman, hmm? Have you been there before?" I told him "no" and that I was trying to hit a few Cuban bakeries before leaving town, to compare their versions of pastelitos de guayaba y queso. Without criticizing my choice, Julian spoke enthusiastically about Palm Springs Bakery. It wasn't like he was selling, so much as that he seemed lost in a dream of baked delights and was anxious to share his reverie. I had no skin in the game, and before I die, I'll have plenty of chances to fulfill my mission - to sample all of the pastelitos sold in the greater Miami area - so I thought, "Sure, what the hell," and changed my destination to Palm Springs Bakery. When I walked into the shop, I knew it was my kind of place: simple and busy, smelling of yeast and sugar and Maillard reactions, its front lined with cases full of still-warm baked goods that fogged the glass protecting them. I quickly found what I'd come for, and then was tempted by things that I didn't know I wanted, until I saw them. Besides my pastelito, I chose a Venezuelan-style tequeño, which is guava paste and queso blanco wrapped in pastry dough, then fried. And because too much is never enough, I also bought a spongy yellow cone-shaped cake dipped in sugary syrup, called a "capuchino." Julian had come inside with me to pick up a snack. I asked if he knew a nearby spot where we could eat our breakfast in comfort (there being no seating at Palm Spring Bakery), and he suggested that we stop next door at La Viña de Aragon. He said knew the owners, and that they wouldn't mind if we ate there if we ordered some coffee. I agreed. The folks at Aragon were accommodating and their coffee was excellent. More about that place in different review. Palm Springs Bakery's offerings were good, but not great. My pastelito was delicious, tasting of butter and tropical fruit, but its pastry was damp and tough, likely made so by its time in the sauna. The tequeño was nicely-prepared, but it wasn't my favorite thing, as, in my opinion, guava paste didn't help the plainness of the queso blanco, as I'd hoped it might. The morning's treat was the capuchino, which looked delicate but was as dense and sweet as rum baba or your heavy-handed aunt's tres leches. As such, it made a wonderful accompaniment for Aragon's strong cortadito. I should also note that capuchinos contain no coffee. They're called capuchinos because of their resemblance to the hoods worn by Capuchin monks, and their syrup's flavored with cinnamon, lemon, orange, and anisette. You'll find them wherever Cuban pastries are sold. Palm Springs Bakery has been a neighborhood fixture for decades, and, for my money, it's just ok. I think it's one of those places that you love if you grew up loving it. As I've said, I have no skin in the Greater Miami bakery game, so my search for the perfect pastelito continues. ********** BreadMan Miami: https://www.yelp.com/biz/breadman-miami-hialeah-2 La Viña de Aragon: https://www.yelp.com/biz/la-vina-aragon-hialeah
