Full Stack (3 Pancakes) - Chocolate Chips (for an additional fee)

The cafe definitely has American dinner vibes to it, where you can sit at the counter and based off of the decor. The place is kind of small, but every time I go (party of 2), there has never been a wait. The staff is decent and friendly. I got the chocolate chip pancakes. They're good, but they're not my favorite pancakes. My mom loved them because that's how her mom used to make her pancakes. They definitely do put a lot of chocolate chips, which I love. It's a good time here. The restaurant is located in a plaza, and therefore, there is plenty of free parking within the plaza space.

Had the sunrise smash burger which was delicious !! It's served on a croissant. Big enough to split and share with room for their yummy French toast. Also had the western omelette subbed for egg whites and an English muffin. Aileen our server accommodated our party of 6 and was super friendly and attentive. Love it here!

Great food and service. The mayors skillet with scrambled eggs and ham is my dish. I recently tried the croqueta preparada wow best ever.

THE PLACE: Located in a Miami Lakes shopping center, there is plenty of free parking. Inside, it is simply but beautifully decorated - almost transports you to a diner in NY. "Bar" seating & tables are available. All clean. THE FOOD: We ordered Hot chocolate with whipped cream - 4/5 good. The breakfast burrito was recommended and lived up to its reputation, my husband hasn't stopped talking about how good it was! 5/5 Hashbrowns were ok 3/5. I had the Florentine benedict, and while it was good, it felt like the sauce itself had TOO much mustard - like 85% of the sauce tasted like mustard. 2/5. I dont like mustard. THE SERVICE: Fantastic! Kind, energetic & quick.

I looked this place up from a foodie I follow on TikTok and sorry to say I was disappointed. The food was bland and not what I was expecting. My husband also got sick because the coffee gave him the runs. Grits had no taste, eggs no taste. Waitress was nice.

Do you want a solid diner breakfast that will likely put you to sleep afterwards because of its goodness and comfort heaviness? You'll find it here. I had never heard of Mayor's Cafe before a friend suggested it after our morning run. It was a great place to refuel, and treat oneself to a mimosa. $7 for a very full mimosa was quite satisfying. We were seated right away on a relatively early Saturday morning, despite there being several tables already full and people constantly coming in to pick up orders. Our server was knowledgeable of them about the menu and accommodate all of our requests. Some of us asked for regular ice water, and some of us asked for cold water with ice, and she made sure to refill any waters that came out differently. The inside is updated, clean, bright, looking with stylized posters and photos on the walls that give you a modern diner feel. I do appreciate they still have a counter where anyone can sit and eat as well. The bathroom is single occupancy, but it was not a problem during my visit. I went for the country fried chicken, which, thankfully has the option to get Grady on the side. I find that is the best way to go, since the chicken is quite seasoned, and it is nice to experience the crunch of it without the gravy slopped all over it to begin with. It comes with a choice of home fries, or fresh fruit, but if you're having country fried chicken, you might as well go big and go with the home fries. They were huge, well cooked and seasoned. The dish almost felt like home fries and country fried chicken with a side of eggs. By the way, yes, you got your choice of two eggs in any style you'd like. My over easy eggs were cooked just right, and provided that runny yolk that went so well with the chicken. I would've stopped there, especially since I had to take a third of the dish home, but we checked in on Yelp and found that they offer a free French toast topping with the check-in. So, of course, I had to order French toast ($12.99 for 3 pieces) and use my check-in offer. I went with chocolate chips for the topping, while my friends ordered strawberry, so that we could try both. I was a little disappointed that the strawberry topping was just fresh strawberries that were cut up and tossed onto the French toast. But the chocolate chips were worth it, since they were plentifully spooned onto the French toast, long enough to be softened by the heat of the French toast. The French toast itself was doughy, adequately sweetened and not needing too much maple syrup. I'm not typically a sweets for breakfast person, but this was a nice exception to make. If you're in the area and wanting solid comfort food, at any time of the day, you should take a look at this place!

Came into Mayor's for breakfast with some fellow Yelp Elite friendsl after we had a morning run and we wanted to treat ourselves and a treat it surely was. Mayor's has that small-town homey feel to it that I love when eating comfort foods. I truly enjoyed this place as the food was delicious and the server was lovely. I shared the croqueta preparada sandwich and french toast with a friend and it was perfect! The sandwich was a little different than your traditional one as in had eggs (cooked your way) and was on a brioche bun! It was awesome! The french toast were also very good as well. The prices at Mayor's are also very reasonable, which was refreshing. I will most definitely be back!

Found this great little spot in Miami Lakes. Staff is amazingly friendly and service is great. I ordered the croqueta preparada on a brioch bun with eggs sunny side up and hashbrowns on the side. So flavorful bun with as so soft. Also had the french toast. So good. Nice and fluffy and light with a side of bluberries. I highly recommend this establishment. I will be back soon.

First time going here for breakfast and it's truly a hidden gem in Miami Lakes. Had the french toast and the huevos rancheros and both were absolutely delicious. Fluffiest french toast Ive ever had! And the huevos rancheros were made to perfection. Loved how quick the service was for such a busy place. Definitely can't wait to return and try other menu items.

Our server was attentive; he provided additional ranch, made suggestions, and passed by the table frequently to make sure our experience was positive. My go-to every time I visit Sports Grill is pretty simple: an order of fries, some special grilled wings, and plenty of celery and ranch. This, accompanied by a Yuengling or two, and you've got a fantastic meal while enjoying the game. The special grilled wings have this underlying spice and charred flavor that's unlike any other wing. They had that crunch on the outside, and the chicken was tender but moist with every bite. My only issue is that the name implies it's grilled and the name could be a bit misleading. A lot of people prefer food be grilled and not fried. While the wing is still enjoyable, the server explained to me that they fry the wings first and then grill them. For the health conscious, this may be a bit of an issue. The fries were fresh and crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. The ambience is welcoming for your typical family, sports fans, or anyone looking to grab a drink. Obviously, it's a sports bar, so don't expect it to be quiet in here, especially now that football season is right around the corner. That said, with a plethora of plasma televisions, sports decor, a well-stocked bar, and a decent menu, you're sure to enjoy your visit.

Legit legit always bragged about how they have the whole wing and the seasoning to char was just so on point. But... there's always a time and dance for everything and I believe this one has slowly died out of its bragging rights. So with that being said... it's local, it's a gathering place, they have tvs with sports, they have a kitchen. Need I say more?!

Very tasty but not insulting to the taste buds! Super soft burger bun and real fresh ingredients! I also got a side of French fries with spice on them. The spice was a bit too salty for me but the fries were fire!! Had to get a fountain drink which I wasn't too happy with the choices. I would like it they offered better drinks. They have fountain drinks like Coke and Minute Maid Lemonade and other coca cola drinks including root beer. So I would love to see more natural juices, refresher water or iced teas. I think that would compliment their burgers really well! Another thing to consider is the prices of these burgers. They run about $9-$11 plus the fries ( individual size $4.99), and drink $3. Plus the tax and tip you end up paying about $20-22 for a burger combo. So it's a cool place for adults but I would be curious to see how much a family of 4 or more would spend here..$100...$120? Because of those 2 things I gave them 4 out of 5 stars! The drinks are definitely needed. You're going to lose clientele or money from people who either won't drink the fountain drinks or the healthier ones who'll bring their own water bottle.. P.S. I forgot to take pictures! It had a nice Cajun kick and the chicken and shrimp combo worked perfectly together. Super flavorful and honestly one of the better pasta dishes I've had at a place like this. The birria quesadilla was also really good crispy, cheesy, and packed with flavor. I also tried two beers that were recommended, including an IPA, and both were great choices. The girls working the floor were friendly and doing their best, but the problems here go way beyond them. This feels like a corporate issue, not a staff issue. The food was cooked in seed oils, which already kills the quality and flavor. You can taste the heaviness and the cheapness. For a place that markets itself as a craft‑beer spot with elevated bar food, that's unacceptable. Then the check came and that's where it got worse. Corporate is nickel and diming customers with extra charges, little add‑ons that don't go to the servers and don't improve the experience. It feels sneaky, and it leaves a bad taste in your mouth before you even walk out. The staff is paying the price for decisions they didn't make. They're trying to be nice, but the system they're working under is broken. Overall: Good people, terrible corporate practices, low quality cooking oils, and a bill padded with nonsense. Not worth it.

Fortunately, a coworker pointed me toward Latin American Grill in Miami Lakes, just a few minutes from our hotel. It turned out to be exactly the sendoff I was hoping for. We started with the Sopa de Pollo, a bowl that made it immediately clear this kitchen isn't interested in shortcuts. Large chunks of chicken, tender vegetables, and noodles floated in a broth with remarkable depth. It wasn't simply chicken soup, it was the kind of soup that makes you wonder why every other version tastes so timid. A squeeze of fresh lime added just enough brightness to wake up every spoonful without distracting from the richness of the broth. Then came the reason for the visit. The Medianoche. I've always preferred the sweeter cousin of the traditional Cuban sandwich, and Latin American Grill makes a terrific one. Thick slices of ham and juicy mojo pork were layered with Swiss cheese, mustard, and pickles before being pressed between soft, sweet bread until the outside turned beautifully crisp. Every ingredient had a purpose. The pork brought richness, the ham added salt, the mustard and pickles cut through the fat with welcome acidity, and the sweet bread tied everything together. It's one of those sandwiches that reminds you how satisfying simplicity can be when every component is done well. Sometimes the best restaurant recommendations don't come from guidebooks or social media. They come from someone who simply says, "You should eat here." In this case, they were absolutely right. A great Cuban sandwich doesn't need reinvention. It just needs great ingredients, careful execution, and a hot press. Latin American Grill delivers all three.
